[Q] Tablet Became Too Slow with Delays - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have PIPO M9 Max with custom ROM with 4.3 Android OS.
After a while tablet started lagging. Just serious lags when operating tablet like:
unlocking screen, downloading file, switching tab, launching app etc.
Startup load and login times increased and once has to wait before unlocking
screen after startup.
I have heard about Android 4.3 lacking TRIM command for tablet's internal NAND
but such condition never happened to my Nexus 4 that has 4.3 on it.
Does anyone know what can be done for tablet? I am not sure upgrading to
Android 4.4.4 will help long-term...

[Q] Android 4.1.1 stability issues on Chinese tablet

Hi All,
This is my first post and this tablet is also my first introduction to the world of Android.
I recently bought the following 7" Android tablet:
w w w .lightinthebox.com/7-inch-multi-touch-screen-tablet-hd-dual-core-1-6-ghz-android-4-1-1_p494283.html
I received this tablet yesterday and set about learning my way around Android 4.1.1 and installing various apps. Now I know what you're thinking, that this tablet is a cheap Chinese tablet and I shouldn't be expecting outstanding performance and reliability but I'm sure the following symptoms are of an OS nature as opposed to hardware.
I started just using the apps that came on the device, the browsers, the video player, the play store, etc. and started to get random resets and freezes on the device. After a bit more playing I found that when running the Android browser on the OS it was auto installing Flash Player which I've read can cause stability issues on Jelly Bean. I uninstalled Flash and stopped using the default browser in favour of Chrome as that didn't auto install flash. Since doing this the OS has been a lot more stable but not brilliant. This morning alone it has crashed on me twice viewing google images in chrome. When I say "crash" I mean it reboots and I see the "Android" logo.
Are there any known issues on Jelly Bean 4.1.1 causing instability or is it a case of I have to live with it on this cheap tab? Are there any hints, tips, admin tools, or configuration changes I can do to improve performance? If the recommendation is to rip off this OS and put on another I don't mind giving that a go as this is becoming a bit annoying.
My about page on the device reads as follows:
Model Number - Tab70s
Android Version - 4.1.1
Kernel Version - 3.0.8+
Build Number - RK30_ANDROID4.1.1-SDK-v1.00.00
Any help is gratefully appreciated.

I'm trying a few different things. Swapped browser to Opera but I have now had a crash when in the play store so I'm trying Nova Launcher instead of the standard Android launcher. So far it appears to be a bit more stable. No crashes as of yet but the pessimist in me says I've not seen the back of this issue yet.
After a bit more research and trying to decipher the Chinese writing on my tablet it appears I have a "Yuandao N70S" tablet but I'm struggling to find much info on these at all.
Anyone?

On my non name tabel with the "RK30_ANDROID4.1.1" image, I can get to the recovery by:
1. unplug the charging power (I can't get the next step to work with the power pluged in).
2. turning it off and the press the vol+ and power button. That will show the android robot laying down with the belly open and a red ! mark
3. after 10-15 seconds I am able to press vol- and power button to get to the recovery menu.
The navigation keys there is vol+/vol- and power, but the vol+/vol- key is very sluggies, so I keep them pressed for approx. 2 sec and the when I release it, the highlighted menu line will shift.
There is a "wipe data/factory reset" menu item, but I have never tried selecting that, so don't blame me for any briking
Hope it helps...
Try to find a cm10.1 that works in your device. It's much better than the stock roms from rockchip.

[Q] Samsung SGH-M919 restarting

Hi guys.
I have a problem wih my phone. When I bought it the operating system was android 5.0.1 and the phone constantly reboots so I changed it to android 4.4 (original version) with Odin and nothing changed. There are periods when is working fine but just few days,in rest the phone keeps restarting especially when battery level is below 50%.
I'm thinking to change the system to cyogen or something else but I don't know if this will work .
What can I do in this case? Thanks!

Update ROMs on HP 10 tablet

Hello guys
I have an HP 10 tablet running 4.4.2. It is rooted, but I haven't updated due to the ota,not recognizing the root. I wanted to update to lollipop, but couldn't find specific roms for may model. I saw some HP touch stuff. This is a quad core 1.2ghz, ARM v7 processor rev 3 (v71). since rooting it o longer keeps its state, and if it goes dead, is turned off, or reboots, it defaults to factory settings, and I have to start all over with installing my back up. it is time to update andf make more stable. any help?
Root
How did your obtain root??

STOCK ROM FREEZES AND BUGS, PLEASE HELP!!

Hello, when using (D855) stock rom and stock based rom (Fulmics 8), the phone freezes extremely after the account and apps are installed, I can't take any action, The system is not responding, the home screen is not responding errors, also the phone is unavailable when I put a screen lock it becomes, the password cannot be entered (I don't think it's hardware related as it works very well when using Lineage OS) Used when Nova Launcher is installed (no screen lock), but when you open the notification panel, vibrate the phone, the phone becomes unusable when the settings are in overview. This only happens when using stock and stock-based rom (Fulmics 8). Is there a solution?
Solution
First, boot to recovery and factory reset your phone.
Second, boot back to os, than SET THE DATE TO 2014, and about the date when lg g3 released.
Do not connect the phone to the internet or do not let the phone knows the current time and date.
Third, please root and install a custom rom ASAP, like lineageOs, NOT stock rom based.
What is planned obsolescence? And why it's related to the these problems?
Planned Obsolescence is extremely prevalent in smartphones. Phone companies such as LG, wanted their customers to stop using their phones after warranties, and buy a new phone so they can earn more interest. Therefore they embed software "time bomb" in android phones(usually embed in the stock ROM)These were counting down to the right time after few weeks of warranty, then your phone would start doing "suicide"(causing problems and damaging themselves) resulting lag, freezes, random reboot, bootloops, and even bricked at last.
In the the solution, it intercepted that "time bomb", so it will thinks the phone is still in warranty and stop causing problems to your phone.
This solution can also WORK ON OTHER devices.
Before, my stock rom android 4.4 LG G3 F400S had constant reboot, so I reset it, set date to 2014/9/12 and installed lineage os 18.1 on it. Everything works again, or even better.
Please share this to everyone, I bet this can help many people and most of them don't know it. Thx

Problems after updating android 11

Recently I updated my Realme 7 pro to android 11(through official ota). After update my phone booted and it couldn't go beyond lock screen. Lock screen blinks for a millisecond and and again this process is repeating, no key is working.
Even after reboot and deleting app data through recovery seems to be helpful.
Then I formatted my my phone, all my data lost, but finally phone started. I have to reinstall all apps and all the stuff,
Then I debloated my phone using adb,
After that I restarted my phone again same problem arrives, again I had to format my phone and again reinstall all the stuff.
If anybody found the solution please share this.
My observation with android 11
1. Seems like battery life is poor as compared to android 10.
2. Mx player keeps crashing again & again after starting.
3. No visible improvement in camera quality.
4. Still unwanted bloatware from realme and can't do anything with that.
5. App opening speed and scrolling is smooth as compared to android 10.
As now I don't find any useful thing in android 11,
So it is advised that please wait for more stable update.
That sounds not good! I am still waiting for the update. But now I am not sure if it is a good idea .....
Do you have the Global or EU version? Where do you live? I'm from Europe either the Global Version. I try to get the OTA update with a Indian VPN server.
Anyone Noticed that after 2nd android 10 update realme just degraded the widevine L1 to L3
Now I am not able to watch in hd in any app
Please help if anyone finds solution about this

Same thing happened to me! I had to reset and lost valuable data
Now I can't debloat, because the same thing happens - lock screen keeps blinking, no way to do anything.
If someone has a safe to uninstall list on Android 11, please share
I have updated my Realme 7 Pro (Europe) just a few days ago. Reading all this complains made me sceptical installing the new update but believe me guys that i am glad and very happy with this new android 11 update. No issues on booting, no heating problems, very smooth UI, great battery life ( 8-10 hours of SOT, with 20-25 % screen light). I read on telegram that booting issues appear on Realme 7 Pro when users debloat the initial apps via ADB (weather app) and then make the android 11 update.
