Hi, I want to buy a LG G2 Mini (the version with Snapdragon 400 MSM8226 - 3G, Single SIM) and I want to ask some questions
1) How long can last the battery without Mobile Data, Wi-Fi activated?
2) How long is the battery charging?
3) Does it have a LED Notification light on the front?
4) How is the built quality near the microUSB (I know from there you can have access to the SIM, Battery and microSD)?
5) The audio quality during a conversation?
Thank you in advance.
Sorry for my bad English.

1) You should get about 2 full days and if you are not doing anything it's 2+ but not sure about the max :cyclops: (I got 52 hrs with using the data time-to-time and doing something and still having 22% or so)
2) 3 hrs maybe
3) nope
4) it's pretty good, there is nothing around the microUSB port
5) nice and usable

Thank you, guys. :good:
Best phone, and battery is very good.
1) So , right now , i'm working from 7:30 am to 6:30 pm , and normally i go to bed at 10 pm. In the meanwhile i use my phone to send sms and use about half hour a day wifi. my battery info is showing 63:32h of usage and i have 40% of battery, so at least one maybe two more days without charging. DD
2) I would say one and a half hours to max 2 hours
3) No, in my opinion that's the worst part on this phone :/
4) It's really good, this phone was really well made.
5) In my case it's really good, loud and clear.

Hi,
I found a compatible with BST-38 (for the mini pro) Li-ion 3.7V and 1420 mAh (my phone battery is Li-Po 3.6V and 970 mAh), do you think that can be "dangerous" to use one of these batteries? (The brand name is Jin Dian and what worries me is if this difference of 0.1V can damage the mobile, whether it will be more or less good in general) You can see it on ebay (220676929621).
I'm just desperate because I tried autokiller, setCPU, advanced task manager, juicedefender, etc. (droid wall and Wisync didn`t work properly in my phone), but my battery dies in less than 15 hours...I need a solution!
Thanks and sorry for my poor English
15 hours using it how? full? idle?
SE says with android 2.1 the battery life will be increased 200%, maybe before to burn your phone you should wait a couple of weeks and try if it is true... xD
15 h with data connect on for k-9 email, but without BT, wifi and a couple of calls.
I bought the same battery and have been using it for the past 4 days. To be honest, it lasts about the same as the stock's. Maybe with a few more cycles, it would last longer.
But does anyone know of any app that could measure the mAH?
There is a BST38 battery with 1930 mAH selling on eBay but will burn a HUGE hole in your pocket!

Have you tried using other launcher/homescreens? Mine lasts 24hrs max before, now it lasts 30+hrs (with helix)
I used to charge my phone every 2 days. I used it mainly for calls, sms and internet. I dont stay more than ten mins each time Im online which could be 2-3 times a day. I dont have bluetooth, wifi and 3G switched on. But lately the battery life is dwindling...maybe cuz I have more apps now...sigh.

I am using the Jin Dian brand 1420mAh battery for a week, and it works like a charm. And one more thing - it doesn´t get hot when used.

Hi all
This is my first post, so let's hope I've gotten it right and am abiding by all the rules and the n00b video. And yes I did search for a good 10 minutes about batterylife and battery before posting and didn't find anything relevant.
I've recently swapped over from Apple iPhone and I'm now very much enjoying being on Android. However batterylife is a big concern for me, as on iPhone I could go 2-3 days without charging and now I can barely make it home from work and I definately have to plug it in before dinner. And yes this is with me closing down applications, wifi when not used, bluetooth when not used, running latest kies released PHONE:LFB firmware and so on.
So my question is... how is your batterylife after having rooted and installed a custom rom? The one I'm thinking mostly about using is definately the new Preview 3 (or perhaps wait for 4 or 5) of CM10, that XpLoDWilD is working on. Does anyone have any experience with the batterylife before and after?
Thanks a lot for any help you can provide! :highfive:

That's very weird. Are you international or a US S3? I easily get 3 days battery, very easily. Perhaps try turning off useless stuff like bluetooth, gps, wifi, etc when you're not using them. Turn off push email and other useless crap. See how it goes then?
I still have the stock ROM, usually 3.5 days battery before it gets to 10% and i charge. I'm going to go to OMEGA rom soon though.
I have tried almost all custom roms out there. And I can easily say the battery life is not any better if not worse on custom roms.
Stick with the stock rom. I would however recommend flashing a custom kernel like speedmod or phenomenal. They definitely give you that extra juice you need at the end of the day. The idle time and screen time has increased for me 10 to 20 % compared to stock.

I'm using the international version. I did turn off bluetooth and wifi, but not gps. Will try that aswell. I have manuel mail check every 1 hour, but will try to set it to 4 hours.
However from what I read in the reviews on GSMarena and other sites, it's quite normal to only get 1 day worth of battery.
Description of a pretty basic day with the Galaxy S3:
I usually unplug mine at 6 am, with wifi and bluetooth off and screen always on auto brigthness. Then at 7 am i turn on bluetooth for my earphones and bike to the train station and browse the web and such for about 45 minutes in the train. When I arrive at work it's usually around 80% battery and I turn off bluetooth. Then I'm at work from 8 am to 4 pm and check mails, texts, calendar and possibly make 1 or 2 short phone calls. At 4 pm I think the battery is often around 40-50%. Then again on the ride home I use the same, so it's usually around 20-30% when I come home. I then usually turn on wifi and play a couple of games, or watch some Netflix on it while I'm doing some other stuff or attach it to my stereo and play so music from Spotify on it. At 6-7 pm it's usually beeping at the 5, 10 or 15% marker for more power and wants me to plug it in to a power source. If I try to wait till I go to bed, I usually end up having it automatically shut down from lack of power.
I'm wondering if this seems normal or if perhaps my battery is faulty. From the review at GSMarena it seems quite normal and that's just the way Android is. They even gave it a good battery rating inspite of saying that it would only last them a day.

Okay, thank you for your reply
it all depends on the usage i have an iphone 4 as well and i have to charge it by the end of the day (at 10pm). So it dpends on what you do with your phone if you use 3g all the time thats not gonna last long if you have syncing on all the time and gps that wont help...if you just let it idle then you can get 3 days uptime with maybe 1 hour screen time.

My basic day is charge the phone at around 8pm, unplug at 10pm. I never charge overnight it's pointless (not that i think it'll hurt it). Wake up battery is usually around 95% after my alarm goes off. Brightness is about 60%. I don't browse the web very much, and I don't play many games, let's say 1 hour of web and 1 hour of games/videos/music per day. Maybe 1 hour of maps too. Mostly though, I text message and phone call.
I don't think yours is faulty, i think it's quite normal, it seems like you're a heavy user, I'm a light user. If I used my phone as heavily as you did i'd be happy with 1 day of battery.
One day of charge (the battery being at 20-40% at the end of the day depending on the usage) is quite normal.
I've found CM9 with Siyah to give the best standby battery (1-2% drain per hour with 3G and Sync enabled) since it's very lightweight and has no battery-draining bloatware other than what you install.
CM10 is still too new and unfinished to be battery-friendly, it's not that bad though.
However sometimes it will chew the battery for no freaking reason (at least I cannot found any) and the CM9/CM10 stock kernel is not that battery-friendly on active usage. No Siyah yet =(

No way is that good man, that means that if you leave it on standby alone you lose 25% per day. 0.5% per hour would be good/normal IMO.

Two days without charging is very good.
With my usage profile i get most of the time 8-12 hours.
The battery is very good on this device if u ask me, this is what I've got with screen brightness on 30, and knock code on. With knock code off and a bit less usage it will easily get up on 1 and a half day or so

Hello everyone,
As so many peoples, my elephone p9000 is in low battery state in one day or less :crying:
I don't know why, so i will give you 2 examples.
On last saturday, my battery was charged to 74%, i have turned it off during the night.
I Turned on in the morning (6 AM), disabled data and wifi, i setted the luminosity as lower than acceptable and idled it.
I was at Disneyland park and i used it 3-4 times to take photos, recorded 1 video, checked the waiting time of the attractions (data enabled and turned off after); no phone calls, played 5mn at a game and at 3 PM : No more battery . I was so disappointed !!
Yesterday, same actions before to go to the bed (disabled data and wifi, i setted the luminosity as lower than acceptable , turned on power saving mode and idled it), battery state : 63% ; at 6 AM : 42%.
This is not acceptable, so what can i do ??? Can someone help me please ?
Regards.
Disable fingerprint and check again
Hi, thanks for your answer ; i check in parameters/security/fingerprint and i don't set it ; only smartlock.
How can i disable it definitively ?

its normal for the device be low on battery in less than a day.. as do all devices, usually it lasts around 5 hours under moderate use, time can change, depending on what apps are installed, and which rom is installed and how it controls deepsleep... What i think you should do is, get a nice powerbank and take it with you, or for example, when i go to achool, i leave home with my phone at 100% at around 6:40am, then i arrive home at around 1:40pm, i have around 40% left, which then i use my 1:30hour to charge it up, the thing ive seen is that i need at least 2 charges every day, its not bad, since i dont mind it.. And also, all of this was under moderate brightness, wifi when available and 4G, i however rarily use the camera since its really crappy imo... Such a crap, that ill be getting the s8+ instead..
If you cant charge it, just buy the powerbank and charge it when needed, if you want to know i currently use a 10000mAh powerbank and it can charge my phone at +~ 3 times

Canadian user bought from Rogers. Not a heavy user shows average is 43 minutes a day. Battery last charged full on Saturday night, currently at 61% Monday at 4 pm. I am sure my avg time is a bit higher on this phone than my previous, Honor 8 which would be down in the 40% range when I charged at night.
Haven't tried the dongle so can't help you.
Suggest you go into settings and under face recognition change to direct unlock from slide unlock.

Hi just wondering so you use your phone rarely? Because i'm a heavy user and i get through one day with around 20-30 percent left and around 7+ hours of sot.
You should easily get 7 hours of SOT. I get between 7 to 10 Hrs of SOT. However each person's usage is different so you might get less depending on your app usage
Check your battery stats and its likely that some apps are running on the background upon boot up which drains your battery faster than normal.

Can I ask you something? As you said you have Canadian variant, i too have a Rogers sim card. Now rogers says, when you insert the sim card the first time, it brands the phone as Rogers and install couple of additional softwares. I was in international roaming when i did that, so it did not install that bloat rogers software on the device. Can i ask you what Canadian or Rogers app you have on your phone to brand it as rogers. Can you please let me know?
