How to enter recovery on SGP521GB (Z2 LTE model) - Xperia Z2 Tablet Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello all,
I know how to enter recovery on a WiFi model - power button and then keep pressing volume up once pink LED is lit on startup.
Doesn't work on my (Z2 LTE) tablet though. Any ideas?
I don't have any LED lit on tablet startup and pressing up won't do anything at all.

Do you have root?
And do you have a custom recovery?
On my device (.314, XZDual Recovery) it also somehow happened that one day recovery was gone and also the LED at startup.
Reflash of XZDualRecovery fixes this.
I have no clue how this happened, but perhaps some root app I installed messed with the files which are necessary for the recovery.

Thanks for telling ! I had been looking for this information for a long time.
Apparently, my service info says "bootloader unlock allowed: yes", I wonder if it means that I actually unlocked it or that the device would accept me to do it.
I moreover wonder how one can manage to install CM or root its device without using Recovery Mode. I saw on your signature you rooted your device. May I ask how you did that ?

It means your bootloader CAN BE unlocked.
To install a ROM, such as CM, you first unlock your bootloader, then move the ROM zip to your device. After that, you flash the included kernel from the zip with fastboot. Then, you boot into the included recovery from the kernel and flash the whole ROM.

I finally found a solution to my problem : I unlocked the device using flashtool-0.9.11's gui procedure, instead of flashtool's fastboot. It succeeded and I can successfully flash anything I want on the device.
I found your rational approach to my problem useful. It helped me isolate a solution. Thanks !

Press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys for 10 seconds.
The device will reset and restart.

Xperia Z Tablet won't turn on, red LED.

tablet: Xperia z1 tablet, sgp311, lollipop 5.0.2
It stopped booting after I had wiped the Dalvik cache, system, data, cache and then TWRP(Custom recovery) asked my if I wanted to install super user and now my tablet wont turn on now, It has a red notification light but thats it. When I hold the power button and the volume up button all that appears is the sony screen then it turns off. If I hold the power button and volume up button for longer it does the three led flashes but then it just shuts down.
I can put my device into fastboot mode and access it using flashtool in fastboot but not flashmode.
Anyone have any suggestion on how to fix this?
you've wiped everything including android (system partiton) hence why its not booting.
to get it into flash mode make sure its turned off, then press and hold the volume down key while inserting the usb cable. is your bootloader unlocked? (guess it must be if youve flashed TWRP)

Thanks I managed to flash android 5.1.1 onto my device, I downloaded it through flashtool.

Can't enter recovery mode or bootloader mode (SOLVED)

I've unlocked the bootloader and i've flashed TWRP but i can't enter recovery mode or bootloader mode , I tried entering it with adb and i've tried with the buttons and it doesn't work
can anyone help me?
my phone is xperia z2 , android version 6.0.1 , build number 23.5.A.0.575
Edit:
I've managed to solve this problem, i've downloaded the custom kernel in this thread http://forum.xda-developers.com/xperia-z2/development/kernel-elitekernel-v1-t3427540
I've flashed it to my device using flashtool https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0smW6BbBawgWjJGMmhNZlR1NkU/view in this link (The method to flash kernel by flashtool is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BAAtRN9EyAo )
After flashing elite kernel when i power off my z2 then power it back on when the sony logo appears an orange LED light appears with it then i press the volume up and volume down buttons repeatedly once this LED light appears and then it takes me to TWRP.

Z2 Tablet not booting after Magisk install

So thanks to Netflix and its implementation of security net I wanted to install Magisk on my Z2.
Im running the stock 6.0 Rom which was just rooted with supersu.
My tab was charged 80+%
I uninstalled SuperSU, went to TWRP and flashed Magisk.
After flashing the screen stayed black. Nothing at all.
Long press power gives me one vibration after 3 seconds but nothing else.
Long press power & vol - gives me the same vibration
Long press power & vol + gives me nothing
Connecting the tab to the computer gives me nothing. No device recognised (no adb, no fastboot)
Connecting the tab to a charger has the LED blinking red.
Long pressing power makes the led turn solid (no blinking)
Power & vol - the same
Power & vol + nothing
Basically I seemed to somehow have turned my tab into a brick oO
I can't even get it to boot to twrp or fastboot
Atm I'm letting it charge just to see if that was an issue (I doubt it)
Otherwise the only thing I can think of is opening it and disconnecting the battery...maybe that will help?
Ok nevermind. I managed to get into flashmode and reflash. tab is now working again!
How did you get it to be recognized and reflash? I flashed mine after rooting and I get similar behavior to what you were getting. It will vibrate once if I press the power button, I can get it to turn the light blue if I hold the up volume and the power button while plugged in. The screen will not turn on at the Emma tool doesn't seem to recognize it.
Same Problem here.
@pseudoheld could you please provide some more info?

Can you have access to the fastboot (blue light VOL+UP + Plug) ? If you can flash TWRP custom recovery and flash the stock rom via TWRP
No, can't boot into fastboot. After pressing power+volume up/down it shows green led and charging icon.

to enter in fastboot don't touch the "Power" juste hold volume up and plug your sony
Tried that too but not working. No blue light
Solved.....by reinstalling drivers and some magic. Don't know what.
Closing the thread.
