Hello everyone...recently i installed cyanogen-mod 11 on my moto e xt 1022 ...Everything works fine except gps...it takes a long time to fix. Whereas in stock kitkat it takes just 3-4 seconds in indoor and outside it just locks instantly...here are some screenshots..is it normal or something wrong there.
Screenshot from stock rom
in screenshots from first post (CM) your clock says 1:26 on all pics. so you got a gps fix within one minute....
on the screenshot from second post (Stock) you got a different location.
Please test gps allways under clear blue sky !
As you know of gps satellite traveling, you should easily understand, why the time to fix differ
satelites
I want to know that when 8 or 9 satelites are fixed but still it is looking for gps....it does not get fixed but in stock gps get locked in just 4 satelites...otherwise everything is fine....

Greetings,
Has anyone had success with getting GPS to work on the last version of Juicy's rom? It's by far my favorite, but I still feel "cheated" without full access to the GPS chip I paid for.
I've tried Bored's fix 1 and 2 to no avail.
The HTC tool shows activity on Com4 but the thing never locks on to a sat.
Thanks,
Landlocked
Does it show any satelites used?
it worked out of the box for me
i have 4.7 and it works great when i first got it goin it took me about 45 mins. to get it to lock on once it locked the first time it has no lag now
Just got mine working today with Juicy 4.7 and lllboredlll's v2 fix. Google maps needs set to manage GPS with windows though instead of manually assigning com port.
Hi guys,
I've been using Morrisoft ROM since version 0.7 and since then, after some period using the phone the GPS simply stops to fix position and it never comes back, only with fresh install. I've tried with GMaps, it shows huge area of confidence, and with sports tracking apps like MiCoach or Endomondo I've had no success either: it keeps trying to find satellites without success. I've also tried to install the GPS fix provided by Notorious544d for Neutrino, but it didn't work also.
Does anyone have a clue of what's going on?

well,
my friend i have used tens of roms and costum roms, with this phone locking gps is almost impossible.
it's a shame because it is a beautifull phone but i got good gps with old phones like samsung i7500 and htc hd2 i can not understand why this phone has this weakness.
also tried gps fix apk and agps usa fix not results.
Hello folks,
can anyone confirm if their gps locking works as well as it did in the last version of ICS. I used to get a lock within 10 seconds and after the update it takes as long as 5 minutes. I flashed b.1.10 2 and .154 2 times just to check and it seems .154 has the problem and not 1.10.
Anyone else here facing the same issue?
Try initial lock
I am on GB 2.3.7 so I can't really say. But when I was on ICS B.10, my first lock took 10 minutes and then it was down to 30sec-1min
Download an app called Android Speedometer to find out about satellite status. Do a factory reset and then leave your phone with GPS on
outside for around 20 min to get a first fix. Then it should work fine. Also try procuring the right gps.conf file for your country. I don't know how
to do that, but try searching the forums.
Hope I helped..........
Re:
Even I had the same issue. I'd advice you open gps.conf in system/etc folder and edit the NTP servers with ones which are closer to you Also use GPS Toolkit from Market to clear all previous data and download new AGPS data. The first lock might be slow but future locks will be much faster Best of Luck !
Cheers
I've followed the GPS fix guide by djelloul on the elephone forum, which in short does rebuild the internal GPS chip data with a new geographical reference point. That seemed to have worked for a while. But only temporarily. Again the GPS in the P9000 has become useless!
On a 300 mile journey, 70% of the time Google Maps in a state of "searching for GPS"
Any suggestions to get a more permanent fix?
ROM: 20170112
This has been a kinda ongoing thing with the P9000, my GPS has always kinda been temperamental. I've tried many fixes both from here and the Elephone forum, different ROMs, I havent tried to opening the phone up fix but have tried the software fixes (btw if you haven't tried the Elephone Forum fix by djelloul see this: http://bbs.elephone.hk/thread-11201-1-1.html#.WKoUuvmLSUk )
I have used the GPS Status & Toolbox, used the MTK Toolbox to reset compass & applied the available fixes, but although they work initially.. its tends to be a temporary fix only. I have always had the GPS Status & Toolbox installed since I bought my p9000 back in April 2016, as it did seem to improve it slightly. although I still used to get "searching for GPS" just as you get and it was a constant irritation.
As I use GPS daily in my work, I was at the point (as much as I love my P9000 so much) buying a OnePlus3T
I must add that I did change to the 7 Nougat Beta very recently and have no idea why, but now for the first time my GPS works great (and without GPS ToolBox) so I'm kinda waiting for release of the stable nougat and fingers crossed it remains working as it is now on my Beta, failing that I guess I may have to move to the OnePlus
wait until 7.0 maybe they fix GPS
I'm using 7.1.1 my gps is not accurate. With gps test error of about 30 meters. Is this just my problem?
Not seeing any issue on my phone in Birmingham UK while moving along on a bus
with 7.1.1 iam losing the signal within seconds with google maps with another gps programs it works fine
No problems with mine either - UK
Well i had no problems with NOA rom on android 6.0. Downloading now the new update to test.
