[Q] Recommendations for stable lightweight ROM for I9100? - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello,
I'm looking for stable, lightweight ROM for my I9100 (ICS and above). Any recommendations?
I heard that ICS is the fastest version yet, is it true?
Thanks.

i installed cyanfox 4.4.2 the other day..awesome..ive tried a few roms but this is by far the best..
if you wait there will be v3 out which is based on 4.4.4, but im not sure it will be stable and bug free when released so id highly recommend the 4.4.2 version

Thanks.
Any other suggestions?

Try [ROM][Sep 25][4.4.4] I9100 AOSP NeatROM v8.0.
Can not go wrong with this one!

I'm using SpiritRom 1.3 with the latest apolo kernel and it's great.

Cyanogenmod 10.1.3 is the fastest rom I've had till now on gt-i9100. It's just Android 4.2.2 though.
But with xposed installer and gravity box u still can do many things.

TV-Out doesn't work on any AOSP roms... CM9 (Cyanogenmod 9, in case you didn't know) is AOSP.
I believe you must use a TW rom for TV-Out, yes.
Which TW ROM will fit well to my needs?
Thanks.

[Q] AOKP vs Resurrection ICS!

Hi
I am looking for a stable but feature filled ROM as I am going for vacations. The most recent version 2.4.1 of resurrection ICS seem to have some issues as per the comments. So I wanted to know whether the issues are the same in stock AOKP? and shall I go for AOKP stock rather than resurrection ICS if I want a stable build?

Those are all for the Fascinate? I'm using DerTeufel's Helly Bean ROM version 20120807 with its stock kernel. I want MIUI V4.1, but i have to stick with CM10 variants cuz not a lot of good JB ROMs are available. But HB is really smooth.

AOSP ROM, 4.2.2 Kernels??

I've just flashed (for the first time) an AOSP ROM, running Android 4.2.2.
It plays up with games and other things so i was looking to try different Kernels.
Locating alternative Kernels for this type of ROM and this android version is proving more difficult than other ROMs.
Can someone please help me by suggesting other kernels that would work on Android 4.2.2 on an AOSP ROM?
Thank you in advance :good:
((The ROM i've flashed is LiquidSmooth))

Thanks for the quick response..
But do these kernels work both with AOSP ROMs AND Android 4.2.2??
Because, for example, Siyah has noted on their download page that this is for Android 4.1.x ROMs ONLY and that "Samsung 4.2 leaks are not supported",

Says the same for "Googy-Max" kernel on their XDA page:
"This kernel is ONLY for SAMSUNG 4.1.2 ROMS"

Siyah and Googy work on AOSP and Samsung ROMS
They work with AOSP 4.2.2 but only up to 4.1.2 on samsung
The reason being Samsung have not released the sources for Samsung 4.2.2, so we cannot make kernels for that

To the best of my knowledge there's no stable Lollipop ROM. All ROMs have their own bugs. Why not try the few Popular ROMs yourself?

Nah, in my device i tried multiple lollipops but they are were laggy. So i got back on the latest cm 11 and things are smooth as silk.
I'm staying off lollipop for now.
I don't care about the super latest features, I rather have a stable and secure system.

Both Temasek and ArchiDroid are very fast and stable. I haven't try out the new versions of RR and Blisspop yet
bhai archidroid karle latest wala set hai !
Hi,
Haxynox is actually pretty fast and thin. Discovered a bug, but cannot post it there. So i'm thinking of kinda spamming this place till i get my count up to 10
But in general, KitKat seems better choice for i9300 era systems. Would be nice, if someone compiled as close to aosp kitkat as possible. CM was close, but now really gets bloated with its additional software. It even has CM account system. Maybe i will test out Omni.
Omni is ok, but no theme support, same like slim kk
