[Q] YouTube app sometimes switches from 720p to 480p and is there a 1080p option

Hello everyone,
I'm starting to get annoyed of the fact that YouTube sometimes switches from the 720p to 480p resolution. I only find one trick that helps:
1. Set YouTube app to 144p and load the video
2. Switch back to 720p and swipe the video away
3. Load the video again
But it's very annoying to use this every time I open YouTube, so is there a way to solve this?
The second question about the YouTube app is about the 1080p resolution. I have the latest version, but I'm not able to see a 1080p option. I have a note 10.1 2012 edition (1280*720 I think) but it says it's HD ready and a Samsung galaxy s4. I saw some modded version of YouTube on xda, but it's outdated. Is there a way to achieve this resolution on one of my devices?

No 60Fps in youtube

(First, sorry for my bad english, i'm french !)
Hello, I have a problem with YouTube, in a older version, i had the 720P ans the 1080P in All video. But as they put the 60Fps on Android for everyone, the HD/FHD are disappeared when a video is available in 60Fps, and i dont have 60fps of course !
I'm all alone with this problem or you too ? If your have any solution, because viral is horrible for alternative YouTube.
Thx Guy !

T95N Mini-M8S Pro -Youtube 1080P troubleshooting

I'm sorry if this has been beaten into the ground already. But I've been tweaking one of these pretty snappy little S905 boxes and I have everything dialed into my liking. With the exception of Youtube.
Video's only want to play in 720P. I installed the latest Youtube TV APK and it's really strange.. Some video's only have 480P available, while other have 720 and even 1080!!
I flashed the ROM with one linked here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android-stick--console-computers/amlogic/t95n-mini-m8s-pro-t3415103
I finally downloaded an old, old, OLD Mobile APK of Youtube, and it seems to give me a more consistent 1080P option. But man, I really like the interface for the Youtube TV APK. Any suggestions on fixing/tweaking my device up to better allow 1080P playback from that application?
I appreciate the help, everyone!

Firstly just check you are viewing the box in 1080p by going to settings then display settings and select 1080p as these boxes select 720p by default

Camera: 1080p 60fps videos not recognized by YouTube

Dears,
I've always been uploading 1080p 60fps videos to YouTube with my old S8.
Well, it doesn't work with S9+, videos are recognized as normal 1080p 30 fps.
Here's the original file.
Here's the same on Youtube.
And here's a working video on Youtube, it shows 1080p60 in fact.
Issue is confirmed uploading from app and web.
I'm on stock G965FXXU1BRF8, rooted with Magisk, /system/lib/liboemcrypto.so deleted to make VOD apps work, as on the old S8.
Any suggestions?
Thanks everybody.
