i'm trying to get s-off with moonshine and everything goes fine until the first reboot. My computer says the device is not recognized
moonshine just sits at " waiting for fasboot" and my evo just sits on the bootloader. idk what to do , someone please help?
Install HTC Sync to get the drivers you need. You then need to uninstall HTC Sync for Moonshine to work properly. If you're on Windows 8 or 8.1 you'll need the Intel USB drivers installed on your computer.

Hi, I'm trying to s-off with revolutionary but it stays at waiting for device. I have cdma EVO 3d, hboot 1.4. I cannot get adb to recognize it either.
Usb debugging is on and I get a notification for it
Selected charge only
Adb works with my other 3d on the same computer.
I installed HTC sync and the uninstalled it
Installed pda net to make sure drivers are installed
Installed drivers from revolutionary site
Tried to run revolutionary in ubuntu and it was the same, waiting for device
In device manager it shows as an android adb interface and all the drivers installed good
The only driver that didn't install was the modem driver for diag mode but I finally got it Installed.
My next step is to uninstall all drivers related to the 3d and reinstall but that where I need more help, how do I know what all drivers to uninstall?

Thanks for that second link, I did a lot of searching but never found that. I'll try it when I get home today.
Edit... Got it, driver issue.
Im running Win8 on my PC and want to S-OFF with Racoon. But the drivers in the Racoon Websites are not working with Win8
Any help ?
You need to uninstall all existing drivers and software of your phone from your pc.
You also need to disable driver enforcer signature on your pc.
Then boot your phone Into bootloader and select fastboot, connect your phone into your pc and it should appear on your phone as fastboot usb, nothing will appear on your computer because it has no drivers.
You need to go to device manager on your pc and you would see android 1.0(make sure your phone is still connected).
You need to manually install drivers for it which could be found here( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1998650 )
After you successfully install it, everything should work fine and your pc should recognize it on adb or fastboot
Well I accidentally erased my OS and now I TWRP can not mount USB storage.
I tried pushing through adb but it said "device not found".
I tried connecting in fastboot usb but windows can not install driver.
I have no ROM on my storage and I'm stuck.
I really need help, please.
First install a working SDK/ADB tool folder (link in my signature)
Then the sideload should work via TWRP, it takes sometime to activate but stay tune it will work.
From there you should be able to recover a ROM

ADB does not work for some reason even though I followed your steps. Windows starts installing drivers and ends up failing.

Which Windows version you have? Is your account an Administrator one? Did you enable USB Debugging on your phone?
Can you can try those drivers?
I have the drivers installed, but I don't know about USB debugging. I did enable it on my previous ROM if that helps but since I cleared all my data, I have nothing in my storage and I also can't access it via TWRP.
I tried your adb steps but it still tells me "device not found".
And I'm on Win7 x64 and using an admin account.
Have you tried this?

Sent from my HTC One X+ using Tapatalk 2
Got it all worked out, thanks for the help.
Installed the latest drivers once again, downloaded the SDK files given on HTCDev and it adb pushed the ROM.
Worked like a charm.

Check and make sure that when your phone reboots it connects to the computer properly, I had a similar issue when i was using moonshine to flash my phone, you should see that the phone is connected and listed in Explorer when you reboot. also make sure that you UNINSTALLED HTC Sync - if it fails to load the drivers, you may try quickly unplugging and replugging in the usb cable into your computer during the countdown, definitely do not do that after it has connected - doing so will result in a brick. follow this advice at your own risk. if you don't feel comfortable with it, don't try it, try another computer, it just so happens that i tried moonshine on 3 of my pc's before i finally got it to run with out hanging.
you can also try this tool kit to install the drivers separate from sync: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2219175

Hi all, been a while. I'm stuck at a point where there is so much info and so many changes. Here is where I'm at.
1. UNLOCKED bootloader
2. HBOOT 2.09.000
3. RADIO 1.13.11.0803
4. NOT Rooted
5. TWRP version 2.3.1.0 (touch version that doesn't work with my firmware)
Windows 10 OS
Android SDK installed and ADB working fine.
Fastboot not working
HTC Sync installed and uninstalled along with drivers
What I'd like to have is root, and a custom recovery. RUU does not work because when the phone is rebooted into bootloader the device is no longer recognized. Been around the block a few times but it's been a long while. I'm back and would love to customize this phone but have come to nothing but dead ends. Any guidance is very appreciated, thank you.
The MAIN issue I have is fastboot NOT working. ADB works. Been at this all last night and all morning No Joy. Can anybody help with getting the PC to recognize the phone in fastboot mode? I assume it's a driver issue, I've tried loading the SDK USB drivers and they won't load. So I'm using HTC drivers. No luck.
Well I've got it fairly sorted out. Using Cyanogenmod 12 something and up and running. Had to use a Win7 machine.
