I am having some problems with the oficial Google Camera app in my Nexus 5 (D821). If someone know how to fix it please tell me.
Suddenly the camera app begin to show two boxes with something like "MODE LIST" and "PHOTOGRAPHY FILMS". When I select them the "mode list" option open the camera mode selection on the left and the "photography films" open the gallery of photos. (I am brazilian and my android its no PT-BR language so its actually showing "LISTA DE MODOS" and "PELÍCULA FOTOGRÁFICA")
Screenshots (i am new at xda so i cant add links yet):

My device is a D821, running stock android 4.4.4, stock kernel with some minor tweaks by Xposed (Gravity Box, Wanam and Tinted Status Bar) and the camera app is in 2.3.020 version.
I checked ALL the config and accessibility options, disabled ALL my Xposed modules then uninstalled Xposed Framework and finally did a factory format, nothing solve my problem.
I also uninstalled the camera app actualizations to an older version and the boxes weren't there .

For some strage reason TTS settings missing from Android 4.0.4 installed on
Lenovo A789 device (223 firmware). Is there an option to enable settings menu or adjust TTS settings using some other way ? Google TTS files seems to be present in firmware - but I would like to replace Google TTS with SVOX version and as well to be able to choose language to use. In third party software built with TTS support if I press "TTS Settings" button - application just crash.
I found quite a few posts with similar issues on different devices running Android 4.0.x - but no solution posted so far.
System TTS settings suppose to be located in System settings -> Language and Keyboard settings but no TTS settings available there for my device...
By coincidence, while not trying to, I found out how to get them back. I will try and build this into my next ROM for A789, though I make no hard promises
restoring tts settings back in place

Hello cybermaus, I'm facing the same issue on a different device.
Would you mind to share the way you found to get them back?
It might apply on other devices as well...
thanks a lot!

i have a problem with lenovo a789 and i don't know please help me
I have a problem with my lenovo a789. when I'm using the phone works great but when I leave it idle phone starts to reboot. I have installed the original rom 221 223 227 228 and the phone remains the same. someone help me
Hi,
please help, I don't know what to do anymore.
I'm on carbon 4.4.
I flashed xposed and installed certain modules. Lastly i activated the "show navigation bar" tweak in the carbon tweak section in the settings. I wanted to have these three additional soft keys (home ,back and recent apps) like the nexus devices have on my home screen. On top of that i installed a exposed module which changes the design of the soft keys into the android L design.
Afterwards, my phone keeps saying unfortunately system.ui stopped. I flashed the xposed disabler and deinstalled the module but it keeps saying system.ui stopped. Additionally , i managed to delete the entire exposed framework but the error still occurs. I also wiped cache + dalvik. I want to save my personal data , that's why i didn't wipe the whole system yet.
What can i do to prevent my phone from saying system.ui stopped?
Please help :crying::crying:
Hey all
Recently installed paranoid android, and pac rom, and both of these roms were "missing" the camera.
However there was a camera app in settings-apps, but no icon on the home screen or in the menu (camera button didn't work either)
While in pac rom I managed to swipe up from the lock screen where there was a camera icon, and got an error message
"Camera app is missing crucial permissions to run" so I looked in the settings, to my surprise it had all its permissions on..
Is this a rom related problem or my phone (seeing as it has happened twice)
Alongside theses roms I was running opengapps 6 - mini
Appears to be a gapps problem
Hello.
I recently installed Pixel 3 Camera on my Poco F1. Its working great.
However, whenever I try to launch from the lock screen (like swipe to top from right/double tap power key), it gives me this error.
Is there a fix this? I have given all permissions etc but still getting this error
"Camera error
To function properly, Camera needs your permission. Unlock your device and go to Setting to allow permission for Camera"
I'm getting the same error, from what I understand it's specific to the GCam version
Do you get the same problems if you use another GCam version?
Same here
Having the same issue with Google Cam MGC 6.1.021.V2a (latest), running on LOS16 build 20181219 (latest).

Same issue here, have anyone found solution?
Same
I get the same error. I did check permissios, with no luck.
Still a persistent problem. I've looked around and anyone using Gcam trying to access via double tapping power (while locked) or trying the lockscreen shortcut are all getting the permission denied error. Many have suggested disabling stock camera, but the camera that comes with my current custom rom, Havoc OS, can't be disabled. If we could only toggle a permission. Unfortunately it seems like the system has hidden it or refused actress to that certain lockscreen toggle because it's a third-party app (downloaded through the modded apk).
Seriously hope there's a workaround in future. Commenting here for any updates either way.
I had this fixed but recently started having this ever again after downloading a new version. But I'm going to try it's just installing the camera version that I want directly into the ROM by default and formatting the phone. That's what I did last time and it worked
I am getting error- "Your camera has been disabled by your administrator" -When I open Default Camera App.
It was working fine but now suddenly showing error.
Camera in all other Apps with camera permission(Like Whatsapp) is Blank (Black) Screen.
How can "Administrator" disable my camera if there is no Administrator enabled on my phone.
My phone is not organization managed.
How is it possible. I am unable to remove that restriction.
Can anyone help me?
{please don't say-"Factory Reset".:crying::crying::crying:}

Already Tried to solve the problem but "Failed":-
1. Reboot
2. Booted into Safe Mode. {Tested camera}
3. Checked that all All Device Admins are disabled.
4. Installed work profile and then uninstalled (Shelter).{Also tested camera inside work profile}.
5. Added Guest user and New admin user and Then removed it.{Also tested camera inside both users}.
6. Cleared data of camera app / checked permission
Just disable ITPOLICY then re-try
Turns out to be "Sensors Off" flag being on in quick settings which also disables camera (being a sensor).
