I've used both of these on both my G2s and G3s and want to share my findings. Feel free to share other brands and your results.
I carry my phones two ways. During work, they are in my shirt pockets where the only things rubbing on them are paper and the occasional dollar bills(between 6-14 hours a day). When not working, I place my phones in my front pocket with the screens facing each other. Keys and change will also be in that pocket. When I only have one phone, the screen faces my leg(between 2-4 hours average). I almost always have both phones at the same time.
iLoome Flex: This protector has a hardness rating of 8H. Despite that, it is flexible. I chose this first because I expected the flexibility to help dissipate any force applied to It. It did it's job well. Over a 6 month time period, it never chipped or cracked until I removed it, where it then basically crumbled to pieces during removal. The fit was good, not great. There was a gap around the edges, but that became a moot point once I put on my incipio case. I did not have any lifting issues like others have claimed. Installation was somewhat easy because of a taped hinged installation design to help figure out placement prior to removing the adhesive protection. There was still some difficulty due to it being smaller and trying to center the gaps while aligning the opening for the sensors. The feel of the glass wasn't as smooth as a bare screen and took some adjusting. In the end I preferred this because it allowed me to be more accurate in my selections and typing. I ended up removing it because after 6 months of use, the screen had become scuffed from use., which makes me question the hardness rating. That being said, I prefer the feel of this over a bare screen.
ZAGG: this protector has a hardness rating of 9H. There is very little play in regards to flexibility. The fit of this protector was superior with a very small gap which disappeared once a case was put on. Installation is the same as every other ZAGG protector, but this was the easiest I had ever done. Because of the great fit, it went on the first time and didn't need to squeegeed. Thinking I got lucky, I removed it and tried again with the same result. The feel of the protector is much slicker than the iLoome and dare I say, even the screen. It really feels like there isn't anything there. Since I've used It, however, the slickness has been a problem for me. I make more typing errors and accuracy has gone down the drain. When playing games like clash of clans where I can tap and hold, I get no response because my finger will almost always slide. It takes 2-3 deliberate tries before I get the desired response. In addition, I get A LOT of accidental screen presses from something as simple as scrolling through a page or feed. I have touch tracking on and the accuracy is off while using this protector by a millimeter or two. Sometimes, touches won't even register. This alone is almost enough to make me switch back to iLoome. After only a month, the screen still looks brand New. As for the actual protection, it was accidentally chipped by someone in an environment where it shouldn't have happened. Clearing away the chipped area resulted in smaller chips coming off. Once it was cleaned, it seemed like ther would be no other damage. Later that night, I dropped the phone about 3 1/2 feet flat on it's face. The raised edges of the case kept the screen from actually contacting the concrete. When I examined the phone, there was now a 1 1/2 inch hairline crack coming from the chip. It is barely noticeable and doesn't feel like it's there. No bubbles or lifted areas. I enabled developer options and tested touch across all areas of the chip and crack and found no loss of function and there was full responsiveness. This is still currently on my G3. I plan to keep it on for a while longer to see how it stands up to daily wear and tear.
I'll update as I continue to use the ZAGG and what I decide to use in the long run as well as other protectors I try out. Again, feel free to share your own experiences with these or other glass protectors.
Dropped my phone on its corner today. The crack spread across the screen. Still no effect on usage, but it wasn't a big or hard drop. It seems that once the ZAGG is chipped, it's shot.
I used an iCarez 0.2mm tempered glass screen protector on my G3. It was an easy install in the steamy bathroom and provides pretty good sensitivity, unless my fingers are really dry and cold.
It also smears really bad if your fingers are the least bit oily or greasy. Don't handle the phone after eating buttered popcorn. It claims to be olephobic, but maybe not so much.
Lastly, on my first airline flight with it, it cracked a couple of curves across the lower left. Nothing fell off. iCarez is sending me a replacement, but made sure to tell me that breaking it voids the warranty. It was in my pants pocket when it cracked. I might go with a tough plastic one next.

Best advice ever! Always forget the steamy bathroom. Really does make a difference!
Have bnib 9h 0.3mm icarez true glass. Got as gift. Probably saving for when I sell the phone. Currently using icarez matte protector. I basically said ok I'll put on the tempered glass as soon as this plastic ones scratches. But no matter what this plastic one is not scratching at all. Kind of funny. What's everyones comment on screen sensitivity? I'm very concerned that using anything other than a regular protector that it's going to significantly decrease sensitivity to touch.

I don't understand the G3 touch sensitivity at all. Mine seems sometimes to just be untouchable. I mean, like in Ingress, I will sometimes have to really bang on the button several times before it will register a press, then other times it is normal, for the same button. I am not at all sure this has anything to do with the glass protector though. Almost seems like lag.

It appears to have the same issue the G2 had at launch. It was fixed with an update.

I have the Zagg and just like you I have sensitivity issues to the point I get frustrated at times when it wouldn't respond to my taps and presses. I don't get much smudging but I have nothing to compare it to. I was thinking of getting Spigen's GLAS.tR NANO SLIM protector since it is 0.23 mm thick compared to Zagg's 0.4 mm thickness but the price is pretty steep.

I think I should change the thread around. If your X10 has absolute no screen protector on (meaning that you removed the stock one), do you have any scratches on your phone?
The reason is theres all these scratch tests on youtube which proves glass screens to be pretty scratch resistive.

So according to these tests, I don't see how I would scratch my screen other than dropping it. But if I really dropped it, I doubt a screen protector would do any good.
I took mine off a month ago and simply never got around to replacing it, not even a mark on it since, I prefer it off.
My experience with silicon covers and others is that they end up damaging the more than they protect it, dust gets caught under them and acts like sandpaper.

I have two on, and after a few incidents I'm so glad I do. Some one said this before, "the screen is scratch resistant, not scratch proof", so remove it at your own peril.

Using a plastic film over the glass panel is like putting a hideous gown on a Ferrari. I used my Galaxy S without any protection for a month, and it was fine. Just don't let harsh objects or sand rub agqinst the screen.

I had a silicon body protector and a cheap screen protector on my X10, then I finally bought an InvisibleShield (full body) and love it.
In my case though, the silicon protector I had was constantly pressing the camera button, which would disable my face buttons, making me think my phone was suffering a bunch of random glitches. Put up with that for a couple of weeks before I discovered others online having the same issue due to their own covers.
I work outdoors and tend to be pretty hard on my phones, so I don't think I'd ever be brave enough to let my X10 run around "nude".
Hands down hell yes!! I take very good care with all my phones and I think screen protectors are a must especially for smartphones. I don't think I can stand having my phone scratched even just a tiny bit lol. I'm not a big fan of cases though cuz...I think people should just avoid dropping them in the first place, but there's always a worse comes to worse scenario huh? anyway, I was playing with my friends iPhone today and it had an anti-glare matte screen protector that is absolutely amazing. It has a nice texture to it too that makes your swiping and scrolling a more... pleasurable experience. I believe there's one for the X10 as well, I'm gonna go check that out =)
I too, use double protectors. And, the lint free fiber cloth to clean the screen. I am a clean freak, per say.
Its a must for me, sometimes I forget and put it in the same pocket with my keys, just imagine the scratches out could get.

If they used a hard glass you should only get hairline scratches at worst, which for some is ok to live with. Though you will definitely still get scratches on it, unless they used sapphire crystal like on expensive watches which is practically only scratchable by diamond
Well, I took off the pre-applied protector (not the obvious one showing you how to unlock your phone) about 3months ago and I haven't had any problems with scratches. I even proved a point to my brother by trying to scratch the screen with a coin. Still no scratches. Obviously, if you manage to damage your screen with a coin, it is not my fault!
Don't go without a screen protector. My screen is mashed now.

I accidently removed the pre-installed screen protector after trying to add another cheap screen protector over the top. but sharpishly replaced it the following day with a Martin fields screen protector best £10 i spent and actually feels nicer than the screen itself to scroll with and leaves less marks. i couldn't go without one risking scratching the screen. thats some expensive kit to just scratch and ruin.
what do guys do when you buy something like a car? Do you all have plastic on your new couch, do you put screen protectors on your watches etc,etc

It is only a 65000 color so i guess the more screen shields the less chance you will notice all that cr*ppy banding.

I have removed the preinstalled screen protector and a have a couple very small hairline scratches from random pocket contact(possibly keys). The X10 screen is by no means scratch proof or very resistant however i noticed a great improvement in the touch sensitivaty without the screen protector.
Well, for the benefit of the community, I thought it'd be nice to share my experiences with some screen covers.
I received the phone from a friend with ghost armor on it, but it had some indentations and weird spots on it so I went to the kiosk to have it reapplied for $5. I turned on the phone, and there is a big piece of dirt AND a hair under the screen, pissed me off because I had to go all the way back to the mall to get it reapplied again. The second time it seemed alright, but liquid "hazing" he said would go away never went away, which was also angering. I ordered ZAGG invisible shield, since they were having a 75% off sale for screen only. They sent me one, but it was really odd. They sent me one that was cut to cover the buttons, which makes no sense because the buttons aren't touch sensitive, you have to press them, which would cause air bubbles and deformations in the cover. Sure enough it did, I don't know why they designed it to cover the buttons, which aren't level with the screen at all times. I did my best to just cut the bottom portion off so it wouldn't cover the buttons. It worked enough, it doesn't look pretty, with pretty jagged edges, but at least the screen area itself has no irregularities. There are still a couple of vertical scratch marks I can see on a white screen, from the squeegee i'm guessing, so I'm hoping that those will go away in the next few days.
The whole screen protector covering the buttons also caused some issues with the liquid solution getting into the phone, and my home key stopped working for a few hours, but it seems to have come back, I was panicking there for a bit.
I had a ZAGG invisible shield on my g1 before it finally gave out, and ghost armor seemed to scratch easily, I always got dents and malformations imprinted on it within a few days. With the invisible shield I can take a key to it, and it won't scratch. I actually did this with my g1 as a demonstration. I think they have modified the material to glide more smoothly since my g1, so it's not AS resistant, but I'm pretty sure it'll be stronger than ghost armor was.
If you DO get invisibleshield though, cut the bottom off to make it flat, it will screw up your buttons otherwise. Also, with my experience and others' that I have read, applying it yourself ends up being better quality.
As for the "orange peel" thing, you can see it if you look at the reflection, but I can't feel it. That might be because I play guitar and have thick calluses on my fingertips, but I don't notice it when I touch the screen.
Ghost armor seemed to be better resistant to skin oils and smudges as well. My experience has been better with ZAGG though.
Personally I use the Mirrored Finish protector from Wireless Emporium online and after 4 months I simply clean it a couple times a week when I'm bored. Though I do have a clear one on order from them because the Mirrored Finish does darken the screen some and causes some refraction issues with some colors. I'm fairly rough with my phone and have no scratches after about 4 months of use. It is fairly fingerprint resistant but I do have kids and get odd stuff on my hands now and again.
Oh, and the protectors here don't overlay the buttons on the bottom at all.
kudos on the zagg shield i work at best buy and use that cover on my stuff. i just got a generic cover and cut out to match the screen of my slide but yes it is good stuff
So... On my phone i always use those plastic film thingies because a smartphone is something that i take everywhere with me and put it in different locations like pockets, backpacks etc. Other stuff can be in those pockets so scratches are definately a possibility. I just dont feel comfortable without it and they dont bother me at all while using the phone.
But on a tablet like the prime its a whole different story. When I use it I sit somewhere, comfortably and safe. When i take it with me it's in its neoprene sleeve. Also i usually take the dock with me, and when its docked the screen is automatically protected...
The Prime has even Gorilla glass so i dont plan on putting anything on it. This is my first tablet so you guys may have more experience with it... Your thoughts? The glass feels just so awesome to the touch, i dont think a protector can replicate that.
So do you plan on putting a protector on it?
Btw1: i really dont care about scratches on the back^^ It gives the device some personality! Its the same with books for me. Hate it when they are new and shiny. Feel free to comment on that as well

i bought one and it was near impossible to get it on without dust or something under it. thats a huge area to try to get dustless even in just a few seconds
i havent been using one, i just rub my tfp against whatever cotton shirt i might be wearing, that cleans the screen and i havent had any scratches.
i use a leather folio style case, so the screen is usually covered for the most part, i just use my shirt to get finger prints off lol
I have a dry application crystal clear screen protector and I love it mostly because it doesn't collect fingerprints and smudges as easy and is easier to wipe clean if anything this is worth it alone plus you don't have to worry about a accidental scratch somehow.
I don't and won't be using one. The tablet has gorilla glass and is very durable. My phone also has it and that goes all sorts of places and has remained scratch free. Considering my tablet is only at home loose otherwise always in the dock which then goes in the neoprene case, I have no desire to put one on and am not going to worry about it.
Prime has gorilla glass. I don't have one n my screen looks great. Veryyyy scratch resistant. Plus it cleans off so easily with the included cloth. All screen protectors do is degrade screen quality n throw off touch response.

I took my prime down to the invisible shield stand in the mall to get a screen protector. hen I got there they said because the device was so new they didnt have anything for it. But because it was a TFP the guy offered to custom cut one for me.
Say what you want, but I got mine done without even a fleck of dust under it and it offers no distortion of my screen, nor do I notice any sensitivity loss. Not only that but I find its way easier to clean.
Besides who knows whats gunna jump out of nowhere and try and scratch your screen.

It may be false sense of security, but I have the skinomi protection on mine. Just in case. The screen is beautiful and I don't want anything to happen to it.
Yes. I liked the feel of it better without the screen protector. But I've not noticed any degrading of color, etc. There are 2 specs of dust that got underneath that are driving me MAD and that may end up being why I take it off, maybe. But overall its better because no finger prints and less worry.
But not as nice to touch
I've had my desire for nearly 2 years and there isn't a mark on the screen dropped at a few times too, great big dent on one corner but no scratches. Them corner protectors but probably a good idea but not worth trying to get a screen protector on.

Take a shower and install the screen protector in the bathroom when it is still humid. Works like a charm to install screen protectors dust free.

Guys, I want to bring this to your attention so what happened to me doesn't befall you:
The Gorilla Glass, while tough, can be scratched quite easily under the right conditions. I was in a thread a few weeks agao, being all smart (like my Username, LOL!) saying that a screen protector was a waste. a) Because they make a beautiful screen something "less beautiful" b) that they are difficult to place on the glass properly, and c) My biggest pout: Anything that is sharp enough, hard enough, and strikes with enough force or velocity to scratch, chip or otherwise damage Gorilla Glass will likely not have any less impact from a piece of plastic between the glass and the projectile.
In other words, if something is going to damage the hardened glass, how is a decidedly super thin piece of plastic going to stop it?
In retrospect, I was very wrong, or at least partly wrong. That very night my daughter sat with me playing games on the Prime. We played a few games together: Where's my water, and similar. Then I played Need For Speed, and then she played Fruit Ninja.
When I went to clean all the 11 year old finger prints off, I noticed what looked to be scratches in the glass. At first I thought it was just debris from sticky fingers, but no... it was... HOLY **** THE GLASS WAS FREAKING SCRATCHED RIGHT THE **** THROUGH!!!!!!
Seems she had a cheap metal ring on, with a split back that lets you adjust the size. By holding the tablet in portrait, and not hard or in any way roughly, she scratched the glass on the right side of the camera, a 1" wide SET of scratches, not one or two, but a swirl of perhaps 12 or 15 scratches that were deep enough to be basically impossible to remove.
I tried to see if there were any methods to polish this out. including seeking help from a glass polishing co, and optometry tools and materials. All advised against it, and the amount of sanding, and polishing needed would have put an obvious "dent" in the glass that would make it no longer true or flat.
Fortunately I had insurance, and for a $125 deductible I was able to replace the unit. Lesson (a huge one) learned. Lesson I am trying to pass along? BE CAREFUL. Check EVERYONE who uses the the tablet to make sure they have no rings or jewelry. If a screen protector makes you feel more comfortable, b all means get one, and keep it on there, there are two types, the rubbery "sticky" ones that I hate, since your finger stick and won't slide on it very well, and the harder, shinier material (actually comes in an anti reflection satin finish too I believe).
No matter what you decide remember, if something looks like it could scratch the glass, don't take chances with it. better safe than hugely sorry. Also, while Gorilla Glass IS scratch resistant, it is NOT BREAK RESISTANT. When I saw the damage to my screen, I admit, I actually was close to tears... No ****.

In a word: Yes.
Not so much for protection though but to minimize reflections and fingerprints.
While losing a tiny bit of sharpness and color the display is much more readable under any circumstances. No need to "wash" off fingerprints every 10 minutes, no need to hold the tablet so no lights are reflected right where I want to read something onscreen.

Since a tablet screen is much bigger than that of a smartphone applying it has to be done cautious and calm. To get rid of any particles between screen and protector I used TESA stripes to pull the protector off a bit and then another one to remove the particles.
Good idea with the shower, though.

I concur. A screen protector isn't necessary for normal use. Also, you might have some issues docking it with a protector on.
i dont see any point to use screen protector, its not small device like regular cellphone which may be accidently put in same pocket as your keys and therefore scratch your screen. I use mine mostly with dock, so when its closed its protected by dock, and while not having it docked i use leather case from ebay. And afterall it has gorilla glass should be durable
IMO, no, it does not need one, but it never hurts to be safe. I've no case for mine yet, and am about to have a Skinomi skin to throw on it, and have been using it for only three days. My screen is perfect, I'm a neat freak and keep it spotless, keeping a cloth on hand and using a stylus. However, a case/skin for the back most certainly is needed if you don't like scratches. I don't mind them, my phone is covered in dings and scratches and gouges, but the screen is fine with a protector.
In short, no, it doesn't really need one, but yes I'll be using one. Damned if I'll accidentally hit my jacket zipper too hard or something retarded.
Like the above poster said, does it NEED a screen protector, no. But lets be realistic, people give gorilla glass way too much credit thinking that its invincible. If the tab is always in an immaculately clean place, then you have nothing to worry about. But a lot of dirt particles also have tiny particles of sand in it, which easily scratches glass. Key tests are just useless propaganda. Its little sand particles and other small minerals found in dirt that will scratch your screen, which is how most peoples phone screens get scratched without them realizing. Dirt and dust are everywhere. But if you're careful enough, you can minimize the issue. Personally, I spent $500 on a device so I feel an extra $10 to protect the screen against scratches and preserve resale value isn't much to ask. Also, Skinomi has a screen protector that has a cutout for the dock, I highly recommend it,its super clear.
Long story short, you don't need one if you're going to be careful enough. But don't fall for marketing hype and think that gorilla glass is indestructible. It actually marks up pretty easy (especially if theres a coating on top of the gorilla glass). I put screen protectors on my devices so I don't have to baby them. If i'm always worried about scratches, I can't fully enjoy it.
Since the prime is packed with Corning® Gorilla® Glass, it should be OK to prevent stretch from daily use, isn't it? I have a keyboard dock and everytime I take out my prime from dock, the screen protector will have a ugly line on the near the connect slot, I just want to take the screen protector away
Gorilla Glass isn't scratch proof, it is just scratch resistant. You can still scratch the glass on your Prime if you aren't careful. Gorilla Glass is strong, but people have the mistaken idea that strength = scratch resistance and this just isn't the case.
Gorilla Glass is strong because is has a decent range of flex before the glass shatters which makes it better suited for tablets and other small thin devices.
Having said that though, I have been using my Prime without a screen protector for the last 3 months. The way I look at it is that if I don't need a screen protector for my laptop, I probably don't need one for my Prime. I pack it into a decent padded pouch when I travel and I never place is screen-side down without some kind of cover on it, and aside from that I just don't worry about it.

I have the same issue, but I decided to keep my on because it does a great job resisting finger prints...
I use the Minisuit anti-glare protector, and have docked / undocked about 20 times since I've had it on, and I don't have a line on my screen protector. Maybe my dock is different somehow..
It give you a peace of mind. iPhone uses corning too and people it does scratch although it offers more protection.
I'd say no. I've had my prime since 12/22 with no screen protector and no real case(I have a targus netbook sleeve that I only use when traveling). I don't have a single scratch on the screen or back, yet..lol
screen protector will decrease display quality and possibly throw off touch sensor inputs slightly. not as responsive.

I'm leaning toward no now also. I put one on my prime when I first got it. But removed it about 2 weeks ago. I'll def be keeping it off.
You must have protection at all times. Lol.

I haven't used a screen protector on my DroidX since the day I bought it (18+ months ago). It has been in and out of my pocket with my keys... pocket knife, etc. without a scratch.
I see no reason to put a screen protector on my TF Prime. I do have the prime in a leather case (which I don't particularly like). That is enough protection for me.
I dropped my evo 3d with extended battery (heavy) screen first onto my prime's screen from 3+ feet. No scratches.

Do you really need one? I'd say no. If you just cant let it go and feel unsave all the time without it, go ahead put one on.
Unlike a phone the prime doesnt really come in contact with stuff that could scratch it all the time imho. My phone goes into all kinds of pockets and lays on tables everywhere. But the prime is mostly out in controled situations not when i quickly have to check the time
I have mine sice January with a 11" netbook sleeve for traveling and no scratches so far.
Since I own a cat (or she owns me), and she's already left a scratch on my Prime to mark the territory, I'll say yes. A screen protector is recommended.
If there is something about my Prime im not happywith, is this "Gorilla Glass" hehe.
My Prime has been always in a leather Folio case, pretty cool, and somehow managed to get some scratches on the screen :/ about 5 small scratches.
I have NO idea how they got there since I always use it with the Folio case.
G. Glass does make a good job hidding the scratches, they can only be seen with the right angle and lighting.
It is really up to you, if you can stand screen protectors go for it, if you can't (like me ) just get a case and handle it with care.
Gorilla Glass is awesome, I can't imagine using devices when one time with no screen protector without it. My first touch screen phones scratched much much easier than more recent ones. That said, it is still very scratchable!! I am super super careful with every thing I own, an I mean everything!! So much that friends am family even comment on it, lol. My Evo 4G screen was scratched without me with knowing how. Evo 3D, screen also scratched, 3 different places and 3 different sizes, obviously not done at the same time. I usually use a screen protector. Occasionally in the past I've went without one when knowing I was getting a free exchange from my carrier for irrelevant reasons, or if I'd removed a protector because it was looking rough an didn't have another on hand to install immediately afterwards. I used my Prime for around 3 weeks before installing a protector. I actually just installed a Ghost Armor, front an back, 2 nights ago. Point is, even if you're careful it can be scratched. Some go 2 years without a single scratch, some go 2 days an get a scratch, then some have scratches yet lie an say they don't while going on that screen projectors are dumb an G Glass can't be scratched.
It all comes down to you an what you want/feel is best. Would my Prime have ever scratched if I didn't install one? Maybe not, but now that it's protected I don't ever have to worry or even think about it. To me, it's well worth the price to never have to even think about again. it again. Honestly, I bought my full body
shield because I was more concerned that the back would scratch easier than the front....

I've never used a screen protector on any of my touch devices.
What the prime really need is a back protector. i've got it three days and trarara first scratch on the back....
Guess I may be in the minority, but I couldn't stand all of the fingerprints that the Transformer Prime would show, after only a minute of use!
I ended up purchasing this screen protector.
It has a precisely placed cutout for the keyboard dock, so there's no worries about placing your TP in the dock, after applying the screen shield.
It's also received great reviews from users. Company gives lifetime warranty, and will replace the TechShield should you have any problems, or if it should come off after you've installed it.
Just put it on last night, so it's still showing slight smudge marks below the shield, but I'm confident those will disappear within a few days.

Sure it's safe as long as you don't mind the eventual tiny scratches or never drop the phone where the display hits a surface hard enough to crack. I use a screen protector mainly to avoid the inevitable tiny scratches (never completely rely on Gorilla glass) and on the off chance it helps in a direct display hit.
Its all up to you but I never fully trust a bare display as I've gotten burned by the tiny scratches on previous devices. Plus a non-scratched display helps with resale value.
Depends on the case you use, if you use no case then no, if you use a case with a decent lip protection then yeah.
I wouldn't recommend it. I removed the SP on mine because i felt like it was getting too many scratches and losing sensibility and Gorilla Glass 5 was fine for normal usage. I totally regret it because now i have a lot of small scratches and one very noticeable on the bottom, and I take good care of my phone, the worst thing now is to find a good and cheap screen protector, not even the plastic one come close to the one installed.
Yeah remove it.... The quality of the screen protector is crap. Here using a OnePlus 5 without case and without screen protector. Not a single scratch. Day one user.
Remember to put the phone alone in your pocket. And select the type of pocket you put it in.

Apparently the GG5 is not as strong in scratch resistance as GG2. The op5 will scratch easier if you were coming from a oneplus one.
Every phone I've had got scratches eventually except for the Nexus one lol. I haven't gotten any on my oneplus 5 yet. I had three screen protector on all but maybe a few days total. Because I'm always shoving my phone into the dirty chest pocket of my florescent work vest, there is going to be sand and dirt occasionally getting on the screen and that will likely scratch it eventually.
using a Spigen case along with the preapplied screen protector that came with the phone itself
