he has mac, not windows i m guessing.

LOL. Don't bother. It didn't work. All it did was make my computer recognize my phone as a P760.

If you have a backup of your persist.img and dd it will fix (should) that problem.

But what if it doesnt and it bricks my phone? If its confirmed that it will root my phone then I'll try it. I have to be certain. I have been rooting and jailbreaking for years and I know what its like to brick a phone. I eventually got it fixed but it took forever.

i dont think you will mess up your phone when rooting it. if you flash kernel or rom then of course yes but root? no chances. and you said that you can boot your phone to download mode soo you always can flash stock rom.
Did you ever find any info, michaelsinbad?
The beta version will be up later today; it's pretty stable. Sprint PCS variants are completely supported (I need help making it to other devices)
So that's it, I'm keeping the features hidden, because they are nothing special. It's a fast rom, testers are needed. P.M. me.
