Hooray! I've managed to get a public build of Sunshine! out a few days ago. This means more awesome Sunshine! for everyone! Of course, there had been additions since then. Just check out the changelog, install the app, or update if you're already one of the wonderful users to find out all the awesomeness awaiting!
Download here:
Sunshine! The Beautiful Weather App
SUNSHINE VERSION 3.5 CHANGELOG
A new weather provider! The old weather forecasting wasn't too bad, but forecast.io brings accuracy and information depth to a whole new level.
Added support of themes. Whether you have a light or dark theme, whether your accent color is magenta or steel, the app will adapt beautifully to your theme.
Bugs removed! Well, I hope so anyways. In other words, rewriting the app means things are done better, simpler, and more stable. I couldn't get the thing to crash even when I tried.
Graphs! Swipe to the left to get graphs of temperature and precipitation for the next 24 hours!
New splashscreens (yes, there's multiple). Subtle yet beautiful Look at the two screenshots below, they come from the Beta app.
New graph colors, small UI cleanup, lots of new languages supported!

Have an awesome day,
Tom

I love it! This will be my primary weather app and I will be looking forward for the updates
Could you support locations in Sweden, such as Göteborg to have a cool pictures also, because right now there is only one picture of some grass on a mountain we do not have and it wont fill the whole screen.
I guess that you are grabbing images from Flickr over the network.
Great job!

Thanks for the praise! The photos are pulled from a single group on Flickr to ensure the photos pulled are as relevant as possible. But I'll immediately look into getting some photos of all of Scandinavia and update when I get them

Also, I should add, that I'm completely open to any feature requests and suggestions. The same goes for photos and translations.
Want your language to be supported? Let me know, and I'll give you a fairly short list of phrases to translate, and the next day your app will speak your language .
Want your photos in the app? Add them here: https://www.flickr.com/groups/[email protected]/pool

I can help you with a Dutch translation.

That would be great, I'll PM you, thanks!

Aww yeah! New update, here's what I got for you! Also, added screens to the OP too!
Sunshine 1.1, October 8th update
An updated version is here. The app is gaining popularity, that’s great news. I should have made some kind of changelong/explanation long ago, but here’s one now. There are lots of new features in this version, so I’ll go through them.
Manual Fahrenheit/Celsius switch
If you’re on the “wrong” units, here’s a switch that will allow you to switch from metric to imperial and back!
The Home Button
A little home icon, that whenever you search for another city, takes you back to your hometown’s forecast.
More languages! - Dutch and Greek!
Thanks to matgras and takthetank of XDA-Developers for the translations!
Fixed Flickr search bug
If you got errors mentioning XML while using the app, they should now be gone.
Back Button Behavior
No longer does the back button have you go through everything you searched for to return to the start screen. To go back to your town, use the aforementioned home button.
More Photos!
This is something that updates regardless of the app, on Flickr, but I just wanted to give credit to all the amazing people helping me there.
Everyone, enjoy!

Another update - this one is minor-ish (1.1.1.1 - how perfect!). I fixed occasional photo-loading and author-loading issues, increased photo quality and added quite a bunch of new photos, mostly of the Czech Republic (but the database is growing all the time, and things are being added. Recently this have been cities such as Brno (Czech Republic), Stockholm, and another, small Swedish city). There is a new, more positive splash screen too. Head to the store, where it should appear any minute!

2.0 is out! Lots of new features like the favorites bar! Yay, should be on your devices, explore for yourself!

Congrats, the app looks very nice!
I can help with Portuguese translation if you want, Brazil is a huge market for windows phone, might be useful

You're right, I've gotten a lot of feedback from users from Brazil. I'll PM you as soon as I can

I'm just going to leave this here... theme support, lots of graphs and a new, much more accurate forecasting provider. It's like a whole new app! Oh wait, it is, I completely re-wrote it. Coming soon! (and by soon I mean within an hour or two) Oh, and did I mention all of the previous bugs are gone?

nice app

I would love to test the beta
id: [email protected]
Could provide swedish translation if you would like

I wanna try it 2, and can help u with romanian translation [email protected]

Thanks to both of you, I've sent you an e-mail! The public release is going through certification right now, ETA: a few days
Attached is a little teaser for the upcoming public release

App updated to v3! That means now everyone gets to enjoy all the new and awesome features. One day, I'll update the OP and launch a marketing campaign etc etc, but now I need to relax. Enjoy and let me know how you like it!

Wow very cool app

It's Here!
Shadow|Line Twitter!
Hey guys! This is my first rom and it's mainly because I didn't really like the dictatorship of the rom cooking world so I decided to make my own It's named after Shadowline because he's awesome and made the skin + tsk. Also because I "borrowed" his big blue buttons below BUT, let me say this. I will try to help you with your issues as best I can. Please try to stay away from PM's >.> I get enough as is about every other little thing. I'd rather you post in this thread and then Direct message me on twitter/aim/yahoo/google talk (my screenname is in my profile). This rom will be based on MOST user feedback. Since this is going to be my rom, skinning will be by my preference. If you don't like it, you can definitely change it Apps will be mostly by user feedback. I will add them by my preference and if it seems that there is a certain one that people really want, then I'd be willing to add it in. That said, I still don't want spam and others spamming you want this app or that app. If you want to make a post, make sure it's constructive/useful and/or contributes to the thread in some way If it turns out this rom has bugs (BUGS? What bugs?), then please post a screenshot to the error or what you refer to. It's hard to tell otherwise. And if you post a fix, please be inclined to message me somehow. (Twitter/AIM/Yahoo/Google Talk/PM/E-Mail). Although It'll take me a while to release updates because I'll be testing the rom extensively myself (might even have a beta team if this gets beyond 10 downloads lol). I mean sure the rom is not out yet But I thought I'd let you guys know that you'll get what you're expecting, if I receive what I'm expecting (which is useful feedback, suggestions, and motivational comments!).
As always for any rom, I am not responsible for whatever may happen to your fuze/raphael!
Direct

Please be sure to read the 4th post in this thread as it tells of what bugs/annoyances are in the rom!

Updated first posts with comments. Hope you guys have a read.
It's about time you actually went this route..
woah, seems promising, looking forward to it, will try to flash it once it's out, as I m actually EnergyRom Addict, will try to give yours a shoot after a long Energy run... just take ur time to make it perfectly, waiting here...
Well well, looks like Kraize is finally taking the plunge into ROM cooking. It looks great, can't wait to flash this sucka!
Be warned though It's not organized at all yet! All lnks are in the program menu and it's very plain. I'll be getting to that as soon it's working.
EDIT: I'll need a few people to test the exchange server setup and other things that have to do with the internet. I don't have a data plan and I don't use internet sharing, e-mail, exchange server, etc.
Runtime error is pissing me off. No matter what I do, I still get it. If any one experienced can help, please do. [Link]

Yes. You can get weather info from other countries too.
City search by name or partial name available.
Sorry for my bad English. I'm from Russia.
Sweet little app small, light on data
Just a couple of ideas:
Swipe right to change between Current Today 5 day "still have tabs on bottom" but don't have it swipe to Accuweather.com as could be accidental data costs. Swipe left opposite.
The Accuweather could be under view again for reason above, i know that it's linked to 5 day.
Nicer weather icons "Beyond Invisible" or the likes.
Being able to choose a custom wallpaper, colour background
Text Black or White or even more...
Thankyou for a cool light weather app

Thanks for your feedback.
Probably I should explain some program behavior and functionality. Program internally contains 6 links to the AccuWeather site for mobile devices.
2 implicit links - when you switch from the "Current" or "Today" tabs to the "AccuWeather" tab. In this case integrated web browser shows the correspondent and different weather info for each tab.
4 explicit links - on the "5 Days" tab named "Details". When you click on "Details" link you switch to the "AccuWeather" tab automatically and browser shows the detailed forecast information.
All these links are not accidental. This is a part of license agreement between me and AccuWeather for freeware products.
I like it! Its really good and as i have a limited data plan its handy as its so light.

I totaly understand what you are saying about license agreement
I'm just thinking about user freindlyness as the links could open up the page that is the 4th Tab to which would allow 3 x tabs bredth more finger friendly.. Same with swiping finger.
Oh just another little thing X could be minimize as if program closed then on open it searches data again on open, eazily fixed my side by adding to Task Manager Exclusive.
Thanks again for nice app
good job dave man

This is not a problem to translate the program UI to other languages (menu, some labels etc.) BUT the most valuable weather textual information retrieved from the AccuWeather site on English. I'll ask your question about translation to other languages to the their developer's support. I hope than on next week I'll gave you the more complete answer.
Thanks for your interest.
Very nice program. At least a light program that isn't a homescreen plugin.

Nice program - but has a bug
When choosing to see details, it points to search page at accuweather.com, instead of details of your city.

When you tap on "Details" program shows the detailed forecast information for particular day of current selected city. It doesn't search AccuWeather in this case. It directly going to the link retrieved earlier. Please, look on my older post where I've wrote about links to AccuWeather mobile site.
Program doesn't consume more traffic that it need. Some later I'll post my measurements related to this subject.
Thanks.

I've got a reply from AccuWearther about my program localization.
They said that 33 languages are available for developers.
But this service is not free.
Next my step: I want to contact with their Account Manager.
I'm interesting on how much they want and what agreements.
I want to keep the Weather4me as freeware with ability to end-users to support author by donations.
This help author in future development, tech support, etc.
I'm sure that people should be free in their choice.
Thanks to all.

problem
Looks really good application. But I have a problem with it on my HD Dutty's v3.9. When i open it and go through the tabs the windows wait cursor doesn't stop and the pages are loading very slowly. The AccuWeather.com page doesn't load generally.

Good at photoshop?

I don't know what it is about posting on here but my browser crashes each time I write something thorough. :|
Any who to be short and save myself from tossing this computer I've been talking with the Dev of Handcent [it's a sms/mms application] about making an experimental new build with a new UI.
I like using handcent because it shows the users photo next to there name and sub text underneath it from the last message sent.
And my idea for a new UI falls along the lines of the dev of Buka and Totem? And recently Radiant. At the home screen it has a gallery button and it has a sliding UI similar to the Ipod touch album chooser and HTC Hero's Album chooser as well.
What the Idea is it to make the contact photo like the album, and then place the users text underneath it.
I drew my own crude version of it below, [this is why I'm asking if you're good at photo shop, I clearly don't have the first hint on using it.] and I'll include the Ipod touch's UI

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",

}
And just for some talk back what do you guys thing about this idea?
I personally see it like this:
Slide to select the users photo, then when it's set and locked on the user text falls down in an animated way then piles up correctly like the threaded text does.
Then to view someone else you'd select the photo and here is where my idea splits.
I'm not too sure if I'd like the screen to rotate in a 3d square like motion or just slide like the album covers.
Of course I know there's plenty work to be had about this and it would take a lot of CPU and for good contact photos it would have to be a place in handcent to assign them and not based off of the Google image you have since that can only be blown up and that makes it blurry.
And of course I am not a dev at all!
So if you'd like to make this image I'd appreciate it :]
And mind you the proportions of portrait and landscape.
And so far here is the work of some friends and forum people that have helped me along with this idea.
From "Konzern" Over at Android Community dot com.
And our latest submitted images :]
By hettbeans
well you made me smile. lol but i think that would be a really nice ui. hope to see it up here on the forums sometime soon!

I think thats actually a pretty cool idea for a messaging UI. I'll try to draft something up as well but one thing I would like to point out in the development of this is to also have an option for list selection. While this is cool for one or two conversations, if you have to scroll through many it "could" be annoying depending on how smooth the sliding between photos goes. Awesome idea anyway. I cant wait to see it.
I'm lovin the drawing. You should just use that

Well now that I have more time to type.
In my orginal email to the dev I also throgh that in as well.
I thought about it like how Google maps has the list selection at the bottom left corner.
But overall I think we all could be productive here and help the dev with a guideline of how we see it and be supportive :]
Or maybe he'll read here and pick and choose.
i removed the app tab because i realized its not supposed to be there lol
Here is my mock-up. I chose to do it in like the hand-drawn example above, with chat-room style texts instead of bubbles.

I emailed handcent and they replied
"Hello, thanks for your suggestion, the new UI example is cool and something same as i think (but no implement ), i will let ui design view the thread first and add it to develop plan"
So don't run around expecting it, but it definitely could happen.
Am just pending on the OP of the image to give me some info so I can give him more credit.

all i have to say to that is... damn that looks amazing... i still thought the paper ui was a good one though, and that font man, that font.
but for real hettbeans, that is amazing and i would use whichever app implements that idea.
also to the ones designing this, you should pm or somehow alert rvg151 (the guy with the modded mms.apk) to this thread, and see if he can incorporate something like this into the standard mms.apk. that would be killer.

I've PMed it.
Well aside from getting that particular dev to do this, why not start an XDA project to see if any devs are interested in implementing that UI on a new sms app. It doesn't seem like the UI will see the light of day unless someone makes it happen. I gotta admit, its a shame since I do like the mockup UI created by hettbeans even though I'm not really a fan of iphone-esque design of coverflow.
SOON
As soon as yall release this new ui.. Cause handcent is really the best.. As soooooon as you do please email me..

Both of you guys, go download the Buka game demo and go to that gallery option and tell me if that can be implemented/was made for a messaging app you wouldn't want it lol.
I don't like the Iphone style either but when I saw it in that game and the color scheme I thought of Handcent and how awesome it would be.

I don't like the Iphone style either but when I saw it in that game and the color scheme I thought of Handcent and how awesome it would be.

I'm a big fan of UI uniformity. I think the proper thing to do would just be a row of side-scrolling thumbnils like what the Market used to have.

Krona Fusion Watchface
Weather updates, round and square layouts
I created a watch face, originally only with the Moto 360 in mind. I love my 360 and unlike others I'm a huge fan of the light refraction at the chamfer on the glass. This watch face has a halo ring that goes around the chamfer which looks really cool and doubles as a subtle battery status indicator.
Later I added a square layout for a friend and some other color schemes, weather updates ... and decided to push it to the Play Store. My main intention here is to find out about layout and performance issues on other devices (since I don't want to buy all the other watches out there). Any feedback is highly appreciated. Of cause you don't have to pay for the app but can download the APK directly.
DOWNLOAD
APK: KronaFusionWatchface_net.marscity.fusion.apk (totally free - updated to version 1.4)
Play Store: Krona Fusion Watchface (€0.79 / $0.99 - updated to version 2.0, official Watch Face API)
PERMISSIONS
For weather information provided by openweathermap.org the app requires:
• Coarse location, network-based (no GPS) for weather data [approximate location (network-based)]
• Full internet access for weather data request [full network access]
• Enable weather update service upon reboot [run at startup]
FEEDBACK
Here or in the Play Store please. Thanks!
UPDATES
1.4: better support for different screen sizes, layouts, and resolutions.

It's a Play Services (Wearable.API) Error. This is shown if the API is not connected and the phone/tablet cannot access the communication layer to the Android Wear service.
I attached a debug version. There will be a toast message popping up when you open the app. I should say: "onConnected:null". Can you tell me what it says in your case? What phone / Android version are you using?
Cheers and thanks a lot!
The error also crashes!Phone Xiaomi MI3,the android version 4.4.4

Usually that means that you do not have the Play Services installed - Xiaomi usually does not come with Play Services pre-installed.
Did you install Play Services manually and do you have the latest version that supports Android Wear communication?
This is really impressive, one of the best watchfaces I have seen, thank you very much.

Thanks.
Like a week after we finished the initial version, Google announced the new official Watch Face API ... and we started from scratch and rewrote the entire wearable App. I just pushed it to the Play Store and we are waiting for bug reports. Once everything is OK with the new API we will start working on features again. Prominent phone and watch battery indicators are on the list. ^^
On Sony Smartwatch 3 in ambient mode it doesn't look very well. Screenshot is OK:
but actually it looks like this:
- barely visible digital time, and just a single digit in the weather part. IMHO it should be near "#fff" to look well on this certain watch.
PS: screenshot and photo taken from the older version.

Thanks a lot for the picture. I attached the most recent version. Since we completely rewrote the part where the watch face is drawn (in interactive and in ambient mode) and implemented some ambient mode specific features, it may look quite different now. (maybe worse, hopefully much better?). Could you give it a try and tell us if there is any improvement? (requires Android Wear 5.0.1)
Thanks a lot

My pleasure.
It's much better now:
Could I send you my app to test from time to time? I haven't got any round watch by now.

Perfect. We really like the new API - seems to work well with all the different power saving techniques by the displays.
Of cause, we have the Moto 360 here for testing. I'll give it a try.
I just saw your LCARS app. Would love to have this on a round watch. ^^

To be honest: I don't see any difference between anti-aliasing on and of on Smartwatch 3. Furthermore - changing alfa on mute mode gives me strange effects on bitmap backgrounds. Dunno if it's hardware related (?).
EDIT: just found out that anti-aliasing doesn't affect bitmaps: wonderful post for beginners by Hoi Lam.

One of prominent items on my todo list. Unfortunately yesterday Sony published new SW2 firmware and companion app that broke down all the SDK 3.0 based widgets. Hundreds of apps on Google Play! Instead of doing something new, we keep replying to users' complaints, and waiting for Sony to tell us what happened.

That sounds like fun. At least Google announced all along that developers should wait for the official API before developing watch faces. (And of cause everyone was patient. ^^)

Google gave devs time to rework their apps. Sony published (without any warning) software incompatible with their own API 3.0. And still no reply from them. One more reason to abandon SW2.

[WatchFace] Commander, Radii, Tactix, Active, Galaxy, Walker, Vision, Achter & GT

Huge thanks to @GreatApo for making custom faces possible by releasing source code.
What's important: if you share this elsewhere please do it using original URL.
Thanks and enjoy.

Most easier way is to use this tool - https://apkinstaller.com/downloads/, very simple just connect watch and push on device (top), then just choose file and install it
Very nice work! I would really want to see the Randii version getting improved! A tip, use GreatFit's center positioning to achieve same text positions on screen on & off.
Also thank you the credits

I am sorry I do not have Verge and it is really pixel to pixel measured (at least Commander is), it took a lot of time to make it fit while testing so I can tell if I am not being able to test myself then no go.

I thought so when I was starting, but anything I moved on active dial did not move the same on splt, but how did I miss padding for all numbers below 10 I'll fix it
EDIT: I see i removed too many settings including font_ratio, thanks!

It's ok, I understand you. Everything is fine. I just thought as author you can create Verge version too, as did GreatApo with his watch face which is cool too until now. I don't know Commander, also shared this watch face is by you, that's why I writing to you Greatings from neightbours, maybe someone else maybe have Verge, I hope :fingers-crossed: Watch face really impressive, sad that is available only for Stratos
Which file needs to be edited to change the arrangement of elements in Verge?

Original source scales images and other stuff to verge's screen that is bigger, scaling might not (and probably will not) fit, that's why i decided no to use this feature. Best Regards.

In fact I tried to install it into my Verge. There is distortion of size, but it just a some millimeters. It's not worst distortion at all. I don't know, you know this site or not https://amazfitwatchfaces.com, but they had (maybe have now too) in past tool which Stratos watch faces converted to Verge watch. Maybe it working only with .wfz I don't remember, but was possible to converted easily for Verge all Stratos watch faces. Just one thing - need to upload Stratos watch face to this site. It working today this method or it working (worked) only with .wfz file I don't know. Good luck in future works :good:

I would suggest to try making changes only in the array file and the positioning will be automatically taken care.
To keep the numbers at the same position you need to assign the align to center, however, slpt doesn't have a center positioning because strings/numbers are images. To fix that, you can "draw" your text at the center of a box and then move the whole box at the appropriate position. This along with the font ratio are automatically taken into account in the latest GreatFit sources.
Yeah I realized a bit too late, but fixed version is available for few fours now [emoji106]
