Guys the following thread [WIP/DEV] I've got a "booting" 3.4 kernel, looking to get a dev team started--http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2071021--has attracted lot of users who are very much interested in the 3.4 kernel for maguro. It resulted in lot of discussion within the development thread that annoyed some developers. As suggested this thread is opened in order to let the developers free and do their works and we, the users chat here to keep their thread clean....

We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.

3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. Wow. Thank you so much Carbon Rom. I have been using this for a while and loving it. Donating now.
This is a very nice rom and i love it, but very hard to get new nightlys because dl is always only 100/200kb it takes hours to dl if it don't get interrupted
Thats a shame
And theme chooser stil fc on custom kernel (devil) want boot on goggy
But thx anyway: )
Which kernel is the best right now to be using with this?
EDIT: Oh, there might be a Kernel included in this ROM. My bad...

woop, nvmd, didn't read the server stuff.
I didn't wanted to try this out as I knew KK builds are not feature-full... Or were, because this one seems to have more features than JB versions. I will download it and install it in the next minutes. I was wondering... May I help you with some new screenshots because the ones from "Screenshots" sections are pretty old, also being from 4.3 .

One issue I have noticed with the latest 4.4 Carbon builds I've tried (CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20140204-0011-d2dcm.zip - EUR and CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20140209-0004-d2dcm.zip - EUR) is with Skype. When I make a video call, the other person can't see my video feed. I've tried switching the camera to front and back camera but had no luck. Go back to 4.3 and it works fine.
Just a minor issue but thought I'd report it.

I was having the same issue saying it may be synching last night.
Had to downgrade from the one on February 11th as the phone wouldn't sleep with it installed. Was starting awake all the time. Hopefully sorted it with this latest version.
If not, apart from the Skype video problem it doesn't seem to have any problems I've found.

Servers are being moved and reconfigured so please be patient. The skype problem is being worked on.

can not install
hi,
currently on stock rom,trying to install getting error status 7, change my recovery and still same error although Liquid smooth rom installed fine?
any suggestion??
I've been looking around to see if I can find any roms but have only found flashable stock and stock with no carrierID(which i'm on). There was one major thread i found here on XDA that had to deal with development for this phone but it looks as if its been abandoned.(It started as a thread just introducing CWM to the device but it broke into a discussion on development of KitKat). Here's the link to the thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2616299 ...........On that thread a (beginning)developer posted a MEGA link that included some device files. They also said that you could use this repository(link below) for development due to the phone also being a Huawei msm7x27a device. So........that's all ive found out so far about rom development for this device. If someone with developing experience can guide me and deal with my noob ways then i will be happy to develop KitKat for this device as it is wanted by me and many others.

You really should mention it in a much more polite way...Developers do their best to help out the community and people in general. You are making it sound more like a demand than a request. Just a word of advice
Anyways, to the topic at hand: For venturi (US/INT YP - G70), the awesome Meticulus Development team is working on Lollipop. It is apparently "kicking' the arse" of the particular developer working on it. He's having problems with glitches bugs, and various compatibility issues with Lollipop.
One last important thing that i have to mention is that there is no certainty about any kind of arrival date for a stable build of Lollipop for venturi. We will probably have to wait a decent amount of time before it is released for the venturi. I have faith in the developer, and iA he will release it for our devices.
