Questions on two ROMs I flashed - AT&T HTC One (M8)

The first ROM I flashed and have questions about is the Skydragon GPE version
1) Am I able to put it into silent mode instead of vibration? I don't seem to have that option when I hold down the volume bar to the lowest it can go, just allows vibrate.
2) Can I add more quick options in the notification area? Ya know, in Sense 6.0, where you can have like auto rotate, sync, hotspot and such. Or am I just left with the usual wifi, bluetooth and such?
That's all really about that one. The second ROM I flashed and tried out was Elix-R. The only real annoyance from that one was that after few hours of use, I was unable to send out texts or MMS. It would just fail. So of course I attempted my own troubleshooting, I factory reset, reflashed again and also changed out my SIM card to be on the safe side and still same thing persist. Wasn't sure if I were the only one having that problem. I'm on AT&T if that helps.
I kinda miss Sense 6. As much as I want "stock Android" Sense 6 just works amazingly. I might flash back, I don't know. I'm the most indecisive person lol

Im not sure about the first question, but for the second question you can change your quick settings tiles using gravitybox.
To get Gravitybox you have to install the Xposed Framework which you can find here (http://goo.gl/uGEfHi) and then you will need to install Gravitybox within the Xposed app.
I also use GPe, but the regular version and with Gravitybox I was able to customize the settings.
And also I get a silent option if I keep clicking volume down, it comes after Vibrate, but I think this is also a Gravitybox option.
Here are some pics

Not sure about that specific Rom, but default silent is one up from vibrate, or if you open sound properties when the volume slider is on-screen you can slide all the way left to silent.

[App] Recent Plus - volume control in recent apps dialog for CM7

What is Recent Plus!?
It is a small app in an early state that replaces the "recent apps" dialog that appears when you long-press the home button. It shows the recently opened apps as before but additionally shows a volume slider. See screenshots. Requires CM7.
UPDATE: Recent Plus in Market
Why?
As you all know, the nook color is a wonderful device but it is lacking hardware buttons. A typical and really nice remedy is to install keysmod / Hard-key editor and bind the volume buttons to back and menu. Problem: you can no longer easily change the current volume while in an app, especially when it is running in fullscreen.
It started with this post and I am now moving it here.
Requirements:
* a device running a recent nightly of cyanogenmod 7
Installation:
(0. install the keysmod so you have back/menu instead of the volume buttons)
1. install the apk that is attached to this post, UPDATE: Recent Plus in the Market
2. go to "Settings", "Cyanogenmod Settings", "Input", "long-press home settings": check "Use custom application" and then choose "Select custom application", tap "Applications" (yes, another tap here in that list! This is the first entry), finally select "Recent Plus!"
3. done. Now you can long press home to switch apps and change the volume
TODOs/Problems:
1. Not sure what happens with devices other than the nook and/or different roms
2. The number of recent apps can not be configured yet
Looking forward to your feedback!
History:
v0.7: (July 9, 2011)
color application label by status (white: running, gray: suspended, dark: closed) - can be turned off
fixed a force close bug when switching to apps in certain states
instead of force closing display an error message instead
Recent Plus in the Market
v0.6: (Apr 12 2011)
optional brightness slider (see settings)
v0.5:
crappy looking settings menu
select which volumes you want to control in the settings
v0.4:
fix android compatibility mode messing up the layout
v0.3:
visual stuff (Button background, longer app names)
different button layout in landscape/portrait
more apps
v0.2: initial release
(reserved)
Excellent app. My only problem is I cannot add recent plus as a custom application. I followed all of the steps exactly. Any advice?

I need more info. What does "cannot add as a custom application" mean? Could you follow all steps? Which Rom and which version are you running?
Kudos to you! This is exactly what I need to put everything together and eliminate the need to switch keys and such. Thanks for making an awesome app!
Ok, I figured out why I was only getting a small window that couldn't fit everything... I turned off Compatibility Mode in Spare Parts and now the Recent Plus window is big and works properly.
Does anyone have this working right at the default "on" setting for Compatibility Mode?
Nice idea. Works. Wishing i was on CM now

Worked fine for me. I also notice that there's an option in the settings to "show recent apps title". I unchecked it, but it still shows the title of the recent apps. Maybe you guys can work something out of it. Like having Compatibility Mode and still show the volume slider.
And, thanks.

Thanks for finding that out. I think I know how to fix that.
I just uploaded a new version that should fix the compatibility problem. Thanks again RoboRay.

The are currently no options you can change. The stuff in that settings menu only applies to the default recent app switcher application.
Works great. Landscape mode works well too. Only thing id like to see is it control the complete system volume, not just media. You really have a great handy app. Is this only compatible with cm7 or is there future plans to have it work with other builds.

Well, I can change it to affect all or only some of the different volumes. The thing is that I am not sure what is the best thing to do. The normal volume button is aware of the context and only changes that volume but I am not sure how to do that.
I don't like the idea of adding several sliders on the screen. Would having a settings menu to decide which volumes are affected help? Opinions?

Well, the app itself is independent of the rom, but you need a way to launch it using a hardware button. I am not aware of a way to do this without support in the rom. One might be able to do something like "tap home -> launch recent plus", "double tap home -> go to home", not sure. This is similar to the softkeys behavior...

Personally i would be fine with it doing full system volume, for my usage i dont think i need the ability to control different volume's. a settings option would be best for all around functionality for all users. i would suggest you hide it (press menu in app for it to show up) a settings menu would also give you ability to add features in the future if you choose so. I think there are people out there who would like this screen to do more then it does now. Myself all i want is a volume slider, This is much cleaner then having to use any other apps ive tried.
Thank you again for your hard work. This is going to be a staple apk, on my nook

A button to either pop out a selection menu or even to simply step through the different volume types with multiple presses might work. Tucked away behind the Menu button would make for a cleaner UI, though.
Media volume is the critical one to have by default, though, at least on a phoneless tablet... How often do people really have to change their Notifications volume on the fly? Adding a way to select the other volumes could certainly increase the app's usefulness outside the NC community, as well as to anyone who does constantly adjust the other volumes, though.
An option to adjust ALL volume levels with one slider would be very helpful, for instance when using with headphones -- see below.

Yeah, about that... I was listening to music at a nice comfortable level using headphones, when I received an email... since RecentPlus only adjusted the media volume, the notification sound was deafening and had my ears ringing for a few moments.

Yeah, that was one of the first things I did with CM7 as I love that feature on my phone... and I've got Not, Ring, and Alarm all set to play on speaker -- however -- have you actually tried the "always play on speaker" feature?
I've got two NCs here, and it doesn't work on either one -- most recent: CM7n30.
Can other folks confirm that this feature is working properly?
Edit: Based on some experimentation with Tasker just now, I don't think the NC hardware is actually capable of determining when headphones are plugged in.

[ROM] Bluetooth Tether ROM for Omate TrueSmart 1.1.1 [2014-04-25]

Changes for 1.1.1:
-Fix issues with being unable to reconnect after a disconnect -- no more needing to reboot after a disconnect
-Fix issue where the check box needed to connect to another device would not show up sometimes
-Fixed a blank toast message that was trying to report a disconnect, now shows a proper error message
-Updated boot logo to one with the teamwin text
1.1.1 is currently only being released as a patch to apply on top of an existing 1.0.0 install.
If you are already running 1.0.0, simply install the update zip. No wiping is needed for the update.
If you don't have my ROM installed right now, you will need to factory reset, install both the 1.0.0 zip followed by the 1.1.1 zip.
There is only one update zip for all models.
We need someone who has a 1GB/8GB/2100MHz model to contact us and supply a boot image from this model of device so that we can offer a properly working boot.img.
Mirror 1
Mirror 2
What this ROM does not have:
-Gestures for back and menu do not work out of he box (there's an Xposed module that you can install to enable them that is free in the Play Store or another app that does not need Xposed documented further down in this post)
-Status bar does not hide itself
-Home + Power does not take a screenshot (Xposed can add screenshot options to the power menu)
-No companion mode that lets you receive calls, texts -- use SWApp Link free in the Play Store for this
-AGPS assistance data doesn't download by default. Use GPS Status and Toolbox to download it instead. GPS is confirmed working.
-Camera is rotated 90 degrees
-If you open the camera app and press the button to use the non-existant front facing camera, the app will FC. You will have to clear app data on the camera app to use the camera again.
-Many APNs are not included. You might have to add yours manually. This is a tethering ROM, not intended to be used with a SIM card.
-Some of the numbers on the stock dialer are not accessible - may be able to fix this with xposed and change the app's dpi.
What this ROM does have that stock Omate does not:
-Fully working native Bluetooth tethering to your phone including push notifications
-Fully working settings app including the ability to delete and change account settings
-Already has EnSec and build prop tweaks
-SuperSU
This is built using some MTK 6572 source for a different device. As such some things will be a lot different and that is the reason that items like the gestures for back and menu do not work.
You do not have to start with a stock ROM. This ROM will completely replace your existing system and boot/kernel.
Download the correct zip for your device. If you don't see your model listed, contact us and DO NOT install:
Mirror 1
Mirror 2
Install TWRP if you haven't and make a backup of your existing System, Data, and Boot
Factory reset
Install zip and reboot. First boot will take longer than usual
On first boot you will see the Welcome screen. Tap in the 4 corners of the app itself (not including the status bar) in a clockwise fashion (see here).
On your phone, turn on Bluetooth, enable Bluetooth tethering, and make your phone visible for pairing
On the watch, open settings. If you don't have a SIM card in the watch, go to more and check the box for airplane mode.
Turn on Bluetooth, find and pair with your phone.
Click on the Settings icon to the right of your phone's name (this is on the watch) Tap on Internet access.
Enjoy!
You will probably want to install Xposed:
You'll probably want to download All in one gestures from the Play Store.
Open Xposed Installer in app drawer, tap on Frameworks. Tap Install/Update. Grant root rights.
Still in Xposed, hit Ok after the install is done. Press the back button (icon in the upper left will also go back). Click on Modules. Check the box for GravityBox and All in one gestures (and probably any other modules).
Still in Xposed, hit back, Frameworks. Scroll down and reboot. Click Okay.
After reboot, open app drawer and find GravityBox, scroll down to Power tweaks. Check the top box for Advanced reboot menu and the box for Screenshot.
Open the All in one gestures app. Tap on the Swipe tab. Enable it. Scroll down to Left Area and tap on it. Choose Menu. Scroll down and tap on Right Area and choose Back.
Click on the All in one gestures icon in the upper left to slide open the menu. Tap on Transparency & Color. Slide the second slider all the way to the left to get rid of the glowing icons on the left and right.
You now have screen shot capability and have restored the stock gestures.
Press and hold power. Press Reboot. Press Reboot. Press OK.
Other recommended apps:
PNF or Push Notifications Fixer - You can use this app to change the frequency that the watch pings Google. When your phone changes connections (e.g. mobile network to Wi-Fi) the framework notifies all apps including apps like Hangouts that the connection has changed so that those apps can reconnect and get push notifications. Unfortunately your phone will not tell your watch when connections change. This app will help you start getting push notifications sooner after a connection change.
GMD Gesture Control - The free version can add a back button gesture. You'll have to buy the paid version to get the menu gesture back.
If you install Xposed framework, you can install this free module called All in one gestures and tweak it to enable gestures for the back and menu buttons.
Notes:
Bluetooth tethering had to be slowed down quite a bit to prevent the driver from crashing. We've slowed it down by setting the tcp buffer sizes really low. You can change the values of net.tcp.buffersize.bt to tweak it if you like. The crash seems to be kernel level or maybe even chip / hardware level.
Bluetooth on MTK is somewhat unstable. If it disconnects due to a driver crash, you may have to reboot the device to get Bluetooth working again. With version 1.1.1, you can probably just reconnect without having to reboot.
I am very busy. I probably won't have time to provide much support for this ROM. I don't owe you anything. If you don't like this ROM, I'll refund your full purchase price of free.

Thanks but after installing goomanager. It says denied supers request. How do I fix that? How do u boot in recovery mode if my power button isn't doing anything when I press it? When I want to back up of my system is that done via goomanager or supersu?
Sorry for all these questions as I'm not familiar with this process.

First thing I did was install myglass app and try and connect it to glass and it still crashes. Oh well hopefully we are going to get something good out of the source release. Thanks Dee's for all you do.
Sigh.... after reading this I got up to install the patch. The watch slipped off my wrist and fell on the floor. The metal clamp came off but I was able to put it back on then found out the power button wasn't working. I don't know if it was the result of the fall but while I was looking at supersu I might have hit on something and the watch rebooted then got stuck until the battery drained out. Is it possible that the power button was disabled?
WOW, so I get mt watches on a Thursday and the best ROM yet comes out on Friday? I couldn't be more excited .. Awesome!
Not that I wont be installing this , just a quick question.. @Dees_Troy what version on the standard android mail client is included in this rom? I havent been able to get my watch logged into exchange. this is a big deal for me as I need to calendar to sync my appointments. Email and contacts from exchange on my watch are not that big a deal for me but the appointments are. Thanks and looking forward to checking out your efforts..
I use gravitybox to enable the navigation bar @60% on stock rom, but can't get it enabled with this rom. is it completely pulled from the framework or is there some other trick to enable the navbar?
Installation aborted
While attempting to install this ROM, I keep receiving the 'Installation aborted' message in recovery. I'm running Loki's setup on my 1/8/1900mhz Omate. Also, when I plug my watch in to my laptop with USB debugging mode on I cannot execute any adb command prompts.
I don't know if the two are related...but I'm sure it is something I screwed up.
Any thoughts?
After install I am having apn issues. On Loki's operative I can get H+ data but only Edge with this. Any suggestions? GoPhone APN settings are correct and have also tried the Att one too.
Everything else seems great so far. Testing BT with Glass next. Will update the post afterwards.
edit#1- I can successfully pair Glass as a headset and also bluetooth tether data. MyGlass does not force close but will not connect when it sees the device.
edit#2- APN settings are borked for HSPA+....

Custom rom for father with Alzheimers, where to begin?

My father has early onset Alzheimers and I need to create a rom that when the device is powered on all he sees is 3 buttons call, end call, and text which brings up the plain texting option. Call shows square photos of people and services..etc.. tap on one it calls that person. I Would also like to do things like change the power button so it cant fully shut down the phone with out a specific combination of buttons or a pattern. Where do I begin to learn how to do this? I would really like to learn to do this on my own.
Hi there. Sorry to hear about your father. I've had a couple members of my family suffer from this and it's difficult, to say the least. As far as what you are looking for, well, I'm not sure you need to go all in and make a custom rom for this. I think many of the things you are trying to do can be done with existing mods.
As far as the power button, you can look into using the Xposed Framework and the Xposed Additions module which allows you to customize the activity of the hardware buttons.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/framework-xposed-rom-modding-modifying-t1574401
http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-xposed-additions-t2294274
For the buttons on screen for Call / End Call - Well, the Call with a link to favorite contacts with pictures is easily done with most launchers or a favorite contact widget. The End Call option though, I'm not so sure about. Reason being is that any time you're going to make a call, it's going to open the dialer app and the end button will be there. I can't really think of a way around that. I looked into adding a shortcut to that activity with Nova Launcher, but it's not an option available (though there are a dozen other shortcuts).
But with a launcher like Nova, you will have the ability to add / delete anything off the main screen besides what you want. You can lock the home screen so he can't inadvertently make changes to it and enable a gesture he wouldn't be likely to use to allow you to access the app drawer (like 2 fingers swipe up, etc). You can also use one of the variety of locking apps that will prevent access to any unwanted apps by requiring a password or PIN.
Ooh. Custom ROMs. A lot of work for such simple need. Maybe use Tasker instead? You can accomplish this with a scene and some profiles/tasks setup on stock ROM. Only disadvantage I see compared to making your own rom is long boot time. You can bypass everything in regards to Android UI just by making the scene fullscreen and disabling keyguard with a on-boot profile. That way, when he turns the screen back on, it goes right to your scene setup with no "slide-to-unlock" crap. I am very experienced in Tasker, so if you need any help, I can help you. I'd be willing to develop this for you, it would be about a half hour on my part

How to fix MiFavor

If you have any suggestions, add in comments and I'll update the OP. Going to try to keep this list as comprehensive as possible.
Ambient Display: Stock ambient display sucks, so I don't miss it here. But would be nice to get something similar to Moto's active notifications to make use of the amoled panel.
Smart power-save: What does it really do? Is it limiting CPU speed? Is it using a more conservative governor? I can't tell any difference (performance or battery) when it's on vs off.
Voiceprint: Completely useless. I bet not a single person uses this.
MyVoice: This would be MUCH more useful if you could trigger it without touching phone while screen was off. In its current form, the time it takes to unlock my phone, hold back, say my command, and wait for it to respond, I'd be better off just doing whatever I wanted it to do. Screen off voice commands are natively supported by Qualcomm, even when the phone is in Doze.
Gesture & Motion:
-Double tap to wake is very slow and doesn't work when phone has gone into Doze.
It also works in your pocket because there is no proximity sensor check. There needs to be.
-Shake flashlight: You really need to shake your phone violently now. So violently in fact that you will throw your phone more often than not trying to turn your flashlight on.
-Give us some kind of camera gesture when phone is off. Double tap power, hold volume button, shake phone, whatever.
Navigation Keys: Capacitive buttons should be optional. I like being able to swap which side the back button is on, but we should be able to customize long-presses.
Battery Percentage: Should be displayed inside the battery icon or replace it. Uses up a ton of space on the status bar.
Workaround: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=de.kroegerama.android4batpercent
Holster Mode: Completely useless. This is a phone, not a fitbit. Keeping the phone screen on all the time to use as a pedometer will destroy your battery life.
Cast Screen: Why is this not a toggle in the notification shade? Why do I need to dig into the display settings to do this? You have a dual sim quick-toggle, but not a cast screen quick-toggle?
Sound: I really like that when I mute ringer, media volume also mutes. But when you unmute, it goes back to whatever it was at before, which can be a lot louder than you think. Android should tie all volumes except alarm volume together, but if nothing else, let us tie ringer and notification volume together.
Mute Schedule: Why did they remove stock 6.0's timed do not disturb functionality?
Charging Sounds: Should be able to turn off.
Apps: To disable stock calendar, clock, gallery, mifavor launcher, my voice, stock music app, and stock video app, you have to open "stock android launcher" and drag icons from the app drawer to top of screen. Why can't we just disable these same apps from settings --> apps?
Storage: Let us use adaptable storage!
Connect to PC: Does the "Install driver" option do anything? Have not found a computer that does not install driver automatically when MTP selected.
Lockscreen: Get rid of the bell!
Notification Shade: Editing toggles is nice, but let us add and remove toggles. Many of us don't use a 2nd sim card, so having 3 related toggles is a waste of space.
System UI Tuner: Holding the gear icon in the notification shade causes it to spin and settings to open, but System UI Tuner never appears in settings. If you're not going to let us use System UI Tuner, get rid of the toggle.
Stock Weather widget: I really like the widget, but does not scale when resizing. Also, does not open Google clock if stock clock is disabled when clicked. Oh well, back to Chronus.
Toolkit: Not all of these are very useful, but definitely interesting. If you want to create a home screen shortcut to any of these, open the toolkit app and long press whatever icon you like.
Recent Apps: clear button shouldn't cover up 50% of the currently open app. This will be solved in nougat, so probably not worth fixing, but if you're going to put a clear all button on this screen, but it near the top left or top right so it's harder to accidentally press.
Status Bar Color: When status bar turns dark, icons stay dark so you can't read anything. These should turn white.
Speaker Phone: If on speaker phone and screen times out, other person can no longer hear you until you toggle speakerphone off then back on, which means constantly touching your phone's screen so it doesn't time out.
Phone call Proximity Sensor: Doesn't work. If you turn the screen off and hold the phone up to your head, if the proximity sensor sees light, which it will because it's not centered, it will turn the screen BACK ON. With this and the bug above together, phone calls are a huge pain in the ass.
Dolby Atmos: This resets EQ settings very often. I can't figure out what causes it to reset to default, but the settings just never seem to stick.
Anyone have any more info on this?
Write Protection on Rooted phones: Rooted and still can't get adaway or titanium backup to work? Turns out there's an extra layer of write protection here that's not found in other phones. Why do we need this? Luckily, there's a simple fix: Plug phone into computer, load up adb, type "adb reboot disemmcwp" (source:http://androidforums.com/threads/zte-write-protection-for-zmax-and-other-zte-phones.1040331/)
Disable stock apps: in B20, you could disable several stock apps that did not allow you to disable them in settings --> apps by opening"stock Android" launcher and dragging app drawer icons to disable. Seems that has been removed in B27, so now we have no way to disable redundant clocks and calendars to name a few.
Any more suggestions? Anyone know any fixes for the above?

Good summary. I can't believe someone actually thought the notification bell (and subsequently, the inability to turn it off) was a good idea.
I'm going to try to list workarounds here as well, so if someone can come up with good fixes for any of this stuff without waiting for ZTE, please share!
Updated with some new findings and ideas.

But Android already has a perfectly working system to hide notification content before unlocking the device. You can even pick which apps to show and which ones to hide. And, most importantly, it's OPTIONAL. And it's actually much better at protecting your privacy. With the bell, all the content is visible without actually unlocking your phone.. it just makes it more inconvenient to access.
Ability to turn off charging sounds.
Added charging sounds. Thanks for the feedback!

What about the charging sound? I got my phone on vibrate all the time (a phone ringing is considered super rude in most part of europe) and it just vibrates a bit when plugging in.

Mine does the same (also on mute all the time). Apparently if you have volume on, it makes noise. Either way, should be able to toggle the "charging notification".
Added speaker phone and proximity bugs.

Hope speakerphone gets fixed soon. Use it a lot. We need to get all this great info to ZTE. Thanks for great thread.

"Wake on Plug" toggle (waking up screen on plug or unplug). I have this option on a Nexus tablet and OnePlus One phone, but it does not exist in MiFavor.

Apps: To disable stock calendar, clock, gallery, mifavor launcher, my voice, stock music app, and stock video app, you have to open "stock android launcher" and drag icons from the app drawer to top of screen. Why can't we just disable these same apps from settings --> apps?

What do you mean with stock android launcher? Where do i find it? I cant deactive this bloat without root
The phone, at least in US version, comes with a launcher called "Stock Android Launcher", but it is just a differently themed MiFlavor launcher, not a real stock android launcher. Confusing, but that is what is there.

Settings > Themes and Wallpapers.
On the US model, there's a theme titled "Stock Android". When using that theme, you can open up the app drawer, press and hold on an app, and on the top of the screen there's a "Disable" option. This is different from the standard Settings > Apps > selecting an app > Disable (which is greyed out for most of the stock apps).

Sadly, no such option on G Version -.- only 5 slightly different ZTE themes.
Also no Myvoice in g version. WTF?!
@xxBrun0xx: I saw you linked to this list in a ZTE forum, but I think it would be better if it had its own thread as well.
In addition to "wake on plug" toggle I mentioned a few posts above, I would like to see an option to remap capacitative buttons to whatever user wants, right now they can only be "flipped", but ability to have custom functions (on both short and long press) would be helpful. I personally, would like to use one of the button for menu rather than for recent apps.

General questions

Hello fellow Xiaomi users,
I got my Redmi 5 Plus a few days ago, updated it only via the system update (no custom twerks yet).
Currently I have the stock Android 7.1.2 N2G47H and the stock MIUI 9.6.2.0 NEGMIFD.
I have a couple of questions about the phone and I would really appreciate your help:
1) Will this phone get an official Oreo update? I've read that there should be one, but couldn't find any official date mentioned.
2) Stock launcher - I noticed that I couldn't remove app icons from the stock launcher. Is there a way to do that, and customize it all together?
3) Nova launcher - Since I couldn't remove unneeded app icons from the stock launcher, I installed Nova. An issue I find with it though, is that I no longer get skype notification sound - only vibration. Also sometimes messenger fails to make a sound as well, but that happens fairly rare. Any idea on a fix for this? Or maybe recommend a better launcher, that works with the phone?
4)Viber - I am using dual SIMs. One personal, and one for work. I activated only my work viber, but as soon as I started using it, it transferred all my contacts in it. So now my personal and work contacts got mixed. Wouldn't be an issue, If I didn't use viber on my work PC, and I would rather my personal chats to not be there. Any suggestion on how to separate my contacts? Anyone else had this issue?
5) Alarm sound - I am not sure if this happened after I switched to Nova, but my alarm sound is really low. The phones speakers are quite good, but when it comes to the alarm its quite low. I can barely hear it and wake up
6) Freezing - Sometimes when I type in let's say messenger, the phone freezes for some reason, until I type the next letter. For example if I try to type the word "submarine", I can type "subma" but it will freeze on "subm", and when I type the next letter (r) it will spit out both of the last written letters "submar" and then continue to work normally. What can cause those freezes?
I would really love to hear your opinion on these points.
Thanks in advance guys
1) For sure, in the main miui site is indicated and if is there is a closed beta available then we can expect an official version.
2) Remove the icons from stock launcher will mean uninstall them, you can only move them to the next display and maybe group them.
3) Check if all permissions are granted for this launcher including device control and accesibility, also enable in Nova persistent notifications. I use stock launcher, I put my preferred apps in main desktop, the others just moved them to the right and using the app "My Drawer" from developer Ofir Miron, it´s the only that I found that keeps the same icon from any theme that I pick, the others look very ugly.
I´m rarely use the other points so I don´t know

Thank you for the reply, I guess I will wait for the update for now, and experiment some more with Nova.
One more thing that came to mind - any way to use the proximity sensor to stop the phone for ringing or to answer calls? I had this options on other android phones - when the phone rings, and you bring your phone close to something (like your year) it picks up. Or when you flip it face down it stops the ringing. Any of these options available?? Can't find them so far.

Thank you, found it. Now let's hope that someone else can shed some light on the other topics as well. ^^
