Has any one ordered from Amazon UK recently? I want to know what region they are getting. Is it the Generic EU (XEU?) version or something else. I've read that retailers are sourcing stock from all over the place to meet demand and that some sold in the UK have CSC codes from different regions, e.g someone buying from Handtec got a one with a Portuguese CSC code.

Where did you hear that nonsense from? Amazon UK would be the Generic EU/UK, they won't risk getting them from other sources besides Samsung themselves. Unless you are buying from Amazon's third-party marketplace of course, frankly speaking, they are unreliable for buying an expensive and faulty prone item like this.
Thanks, I assume you mean the Amazon 3rd party sellers are not reliable for such an expensive item or did you mean Amazon themselves?
It was actually someone on this forum that mentioned that they had bought a SGs2 from Handtec and that the CSC code was for Portugal and not the Generic UK one. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1102438
Like you say, the GS2 seems quite fault prone so I'm looking for an online retailer that's going to give me the best service when it comes to returns. I don't live in the UK so cannot walk into a store to check one over the counter before I buy and there is no mention of a release date here yet.

I want to order an s2 from amazon uk. I'd preffer the white one, although the colour does not matter as much as if it is definately I9100 or unfortunately the I9100G. Has anyone ordered them from there recently? Please let me know asap as I wanna order it soon the price has gone down quite a bit.

anyone there? I wanna order it today
Go ahead & buy it. If it is supplied by Amazon you should not have any problem. Always had great service from them. Black @ £407.30 & White @ £416.40, good price.
The UK doesn't have the I9100G, but that's not to say someone couldn't sell one on Amazon UK marketplace.

Like oinky said we dont have the G version you could get lucky and have the P version that just means you will have nfc but I think only orange branded have them anyway.
Surley there is a Q&A section on amazon.
I have ordered the black one just because a mate of mine told me the white ones are all G in the UK. Uninformed idiot :C. Oh well i'll just have the black one instead. When it comes to a Q&A section on amazon, I did ask the customer service people but all they did was copied and pasted the title of the item, which wasn't that helpful. Cheers anyway guys I hope i'll be looking for a good rom and kernel soon
I've never had a problem with Amazon, go ahead and order the best phone ever!
I chose next day delivery and on the royal mail website it tells me it will come on the 30th while amazon says 28th, im confused :s

Hello,
I would like to ask, if anyone happens to know where I can find an Sgs3 international unlocked around in Milan - Brescia in Italy at around 600eu. I prefer from a retailer as I wont stay here more than a month, plus I do not trust the Italian Post Office.
Thanks a lot

Hi guys I need some advice here, I am going to go to Guangzhou, China this Sept '12.
I am wondering whether there is any place to buy Galaxy S3 in Guangzhou? I have done some researched and I found this place called Galaxy Computer Plaza. Is it available there? And what shop can be trusted (as I've read that they sold some imitations)? And how much does it cost there?
Or maybe I should take a ferry and go to Hongkong? How much does it cost in Hongkong and where can I get it?
Btw how does this device compare to HTC One X?
Please advise, thank you very muchhhhh! =)
Better buy from your origin place, easy claim warranty. Believe me, at least you don't have headache during something bad happens.

Why don't you buy it from your country of origin? If you're from the US, buying it there is not going to be much (if any) cheaper from my experience.
If you can't find it in Guangzhou, you can go to Shenzhen. It's about an hour south by train, right near the HK border so you don't need to cross through immigration. Once there, just go to Hua Qiang Bei Electronics district. There will be plazas lined up with tons of shops selling phones.
Would buy in China could be fake. Hong Kong be the best place.

Thx for the info! I am planning to study Mandarin for one year in Guangzhou, that's why I think it is better to buy there =)
Hey guys!
Massively interested in this phone. My HTC U11 broke just recently. The back and front smashed and my insurance company said they couldn't fix it so sent me the cash. That's when I did some research and heard about the Pocophone F1 which looks amazing! The only thing is it isn't easy not having a phone when I need to work....
Is there any chance a release date for Europe or the UK in particular will be announced soon? Any rumours flying about? I'm really trying hard to hold out for this phone!
Available in the UK from Appliances Direct.

I'm talking official release but thanks.
It is the Global Version with a UK charger!
It is here also released in the Netherlands, only webshops.
U get Dutch warranty, so I think when u buy it from a UK store u get UK warranty.
Since there are no Mi stores

Thanks for the info BassBounce. That's good to know. The only issue I have with buying from one of these sites is whether they are putting a mark up on the price of the phone? I wonder if when it is officially released will it be cheaper than on these sites? Also, I can't seem to find the Armoured version of the Poco F1 anywhere to buy in the UK. I'd really like the Armoured version since I seem to be pretty unlucky when it comes to braking phones....

That's good to know thank you. It may be a good option although I'd rather buy the Armoured edition which they don't stock.

Do they give you a UK warranty or do you have to send it abroad?

Its a UK seller so yeah ur getting a warranty here, ur covered by the seller for 12 months, and even if u get the phone from like Netherlands u still covered by EU warranty, keep in mind the phone is only like 250 quid.. its not a 1000 quid phone, or trying lookin at alternatives like second hand pixel 2 xl for around 300-350
Apparently the one from Appliances Direct doesn't have a charger with it at all!
