My only question is:
Does it have phone capability? Is it only the WIFI model or WIFI with 4g, and 3g, and 1x for phone calls?
Looks like it's just the WiFi, 32GB, White model for now.

Just got back from Verizon in Rochester NY. A representative from Samsung was there showing off the s4. I had about 5 min hands on time with it. Absolutely amazing. Official launch date for Verizon is may 23rd. They will be doing preorders a couple weeks in advance. Price will be 199.99 with 2 year activation. You better believe ill be preordering it.

That leaked Staples memo had the Verizon date at 5/30. I'm not complaining though, hope you're right. My 2-year contract ended in February and I've been waiting since then for the S4...

I asked the Verizon dude about that. He said he cant speak for staples, but he, the gm of that particular Verizon, and that Samsung rep guaranteed me that verizons official launch date is may 23rd, accepting preorders a few weeks in advance. Just watch, and remember my post.

I actually went there to buy an sgs3 because I've been eligible for an upgrade since November. The guys said that if i came there earlier in the morning wanting to buy the sgs3, they would have told me to buy it because before the rep from Samsung showed up, they didn't know exactly when they were gonna get it. So I'm lucky i went when i did, because if i bought the s3 just to find out i could get the s4 on the 23rd, i would have been kicking myself in the ass.

Samsungs PR released today states it will be on Verizon by the end of April. Looks like they are keeping their reps out of the loop!

It's a poorly worded press release. My guess is that the release meant that it will be available on those 7 carriers, some of which will start in April.

Does anyone know I think everyone who still has unlimited internet should ask Verizon this.. I wanna get the new s4 but keep my unlimited internet so will this 12month thing work for me?

Should be the same as buying for full price. They just allow you to put the rest of the cost into your monthly payments. Would be extremely low of them to force you off unlimited since you're not extending your contract that way. I don't even know if they're allowed to do that. But yes I highly recommend calling a Verizon Wireless rep and confirming on this before doing that. Verizon is so sensitive about unlimited data plans now that even the smallest change could give them a reason to force you off. If you do get confirmation be sure to let us know.
I tweeted them asking them the same question in 6 different ways so if I don't hear anything soon its cause there avoiding the question..

Negri Electronics has an ETA of 9/13 for the C6833 and "end of september" for the C6806. Those dates are never set in stone, and vary depending on the seller; but I would say "very soon."

Got mine on o2 as well, it was locked on o2 but when i called them and told them to unlock it for me, they filled out a form and i received the unlock code within 3 days free of charge, now my tablet is unlocked and am currently using my other sim card in it
Found this today at Motorola's website while looking at the news on the Z2 Force.
I hope its not a mistake but it seems like the unlocked Moto Z2 Play is actually going to be able to be used on Verizon and Sprint and not just the GSM Networks like the first gen Z Play!
Regretting getting the Verizon version about now...

Other what is said about CMDA bands is there a link or any for sure is true.
I was just about to check the site again but looks like the server admin screwed up something and it says "access denied". Oops.
But yeah the link says carrier compatibility for the unlocked version includes Verizon.

Did the unlocked version end up working with Verizon?
The shipment is stuck in Memphis TN. Their projection of the 18th of August was changed to the 28th but I don't think I will get it today with the delay.
Mine is stuck too lol [emoji54] it is compatible with sprint per sprint's web site on their byod page..

Just received it. Found out my old SIM wouldn't fit because the phone requires a nano SIM. Went to Verizon and they installed the new SIM and activated it. No problems and I am now in the process of configuring it.

I was browsing Motorola's website and they offered me a sweet, sweet 5% discount and 0% for 18 months with Affirm, so I jumped on it. Should be arriving next week. Can't wait to bootloader unlock it and give Verizon the middle finger.
