can't disable fast dormancy - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hi!
i need to turn fast dormancy off.
i've tried these methods:
1) Fast Dormancy Toggle App - says that fd is off but secril_fd_interface wakelock is still on after rebooting.
2) FastDormancy Toggle for i9300 - same as above.
3) this thread on xda.
4) adding "ro.ril.disable.fd.plmn.prefix" with my carrier number as the value to my build.prop.
all no use...
my nwk_info.db was empty at the beggining of the proccess, maybe that's why the first 3 methods didn't work.
i have a galaxy s2 I9100 running slimkat 4.4.2.
help me

well, i couln't find a solution so i had to be "creative".
i downloaded the app Wifi/Data auto Off|On of WHUERIC, so when my screen goes off - so does the data connection, and it turns automatically on when i use my phone again.
that way i get no secril-fd-interface or multipdp wakelocks - and RILJ wakelock is also showing up less than before.
using that solution will make your application loss their internet connection so you won't get notification from those apps while your screen is off, you'll get them only when you'll turn your screen on.

[Q] Why my SGSII will NOT sleep/standby in 3G

Hi guys, I've posted regarding this issue on a thread somewhere but not getting much hits. If you have 3G Data enabled then put your SGSII to sleep, and wake it up, do you see the Data signal as 'H' or '3G'? Mine wakes up and it's on 'H'. My phone is rooted, using Lite'ning ROM 2.2 XXKG1. I compared with a friend's SGSII with everything stock and not rooted, same thing, wakes up on 'H'.
The phone should switch to 3G when sleeping / stand-by to save battery... but for some reason, each time I wake my phone up, I can see 'H' on the Data Connection instead of '3G'. If I unlock my screen and wait 5-10 secs, Data then switches to 3G. But if I lock it and unlock again, it's back to 'H'. I believe this has been draining my battery more than when I have WiFi connected.
Widgets I have running is Beautiful Weather, refresh every hour, did NOT check refresh on wake up. Google Auto-sync is on. Fast Dormancy is on. I have once tried switching all of these off, reboot, but still same thing.
I've searched for this issue on google, this whole forum but just can't find a post discussing about this issue. Maybe I didn't use the right keywords... I've been searching: "samsung galaxy s2 sleep 3g hsdpa" , something along those lines. Of course I tried combinations like just sleep 3g or sleep hsdpa etc.
If there is a discussion regarding this, could you point me to it please or suggest keywords to search for, thanks.
Maybe this you need,

[Q] battery drain option "position per gsm"; short break every minute during call

[Q] battery drain option "position per gsm"; short break every minute during call
Hello!
I have an SGS2 with XEU KF3 Firmware installed.
1)
Now i have a short break every minute while i´m calling.
Bevore KF3 i didn´d had any Problems with that.
2)
If i enable the following Option: Location and Security -> use GSM Network for Positioning (first Settings in Location and Security, don´t know which is calld in english..).
I have massive battery drain. My phone doesn´t enter sleep mode, if this option is enabled.
Are there any ideas on that?
Please use the Q&A Forum for questions Thanks
Moving to Q&A
no ideas for my Problem?

[Q] Fast Dormancy (com.sonyericsson.android.server.dormant)

Hi,
I left my phone off for the night and set a custom reference in BetterBatteryStats. In the morning I had over 2,000 Wakeups in the "Alarms" tab for "com.sonyericsson.android.server.dormant". In fact, even when I turn my screen off, then turn it on a minute later and watch the Alarms tab in BBS with "Since Screen Off", and keep refreshing it, the Wakeups for this service keep increasing and increasing!
After googling a bit, it seems that this service has to do with the Fast Dormancy feature, which lets the phone turn off the data connection whenever it needs to. Apparently, some carries don't support Fast Dormancy, so this might cause problems.
Is anyone else seeing a high wakeup count for this service?
How can I check to see whether my carrier supports Fast Dormancy

[Q] Push Notifications Delayed/ Undelivered[EXCEPT GMAIL]

Hi everybody,
My device is rooted with pure stock 4.2.2 and mediatek 6572 processor.
Problems: (ONLY OVER WIFI and SCREEN OFF)
1. all my notifications are either delayed or undelivered, when screen is off.(not SMSes but those over WiFi)
2. GTalk messages always take 5 minutes(Heartbeat Interval duration) when screen off
3. Play Store apps are never updated/ downloaded when screen is off, start right after screen is on
4. IM apps like Xabber never get IMs until screen turned on
Exceptions:
1. NO PROBLEMS WHILE SCREEN ON
2. Gmail ALWAYS gets email exactly after 30 seconds or more(possibly rules out connection timing out)
3. Above problems disappear using MOBILE DATA
4. NEVER HAPPENS during charging
5. With LOCATION REPORTING enabled, Talk messages reach within 30-40 seconds, with screen off.( battery consumption doubles also)
ALREADY TRIED:-
1. In sleep policy set to Always On
2. Used PNF and set heartbeat interval at 5 minutes, to no avail
3. PORT 5228 not blocked on router
4. WiFi optimizations turned off
5. No battery saving mode or 3rd party app enabled
6. Background Data Restrictions disabled
7. Same thing in SAFE MODE
8. Did FACTORY RESET
9. Tried logging in from another Google account
Any help is greatly appreciated!!
same problem here, have you found the solution?
I have done your own attempts..but nothing.
i have two android phones with CM11, 1 has no delay and one yes
Sounds like the device is going into a very deep sleep when the screen is off. Most likely a software setting or a kernel setting that some use boost battery life. Also make sure not to have greenify installed.

GCMService wakelocks with fast dormancy turned on

Hello everyone. I am facing a problem since more than a month ago which is that if I turn on fast dormancy in my phone, the GCMService (Google Cloud Messaging service) causes a lot of multipdp kernel wakelocks and my phone cannot enter into deep sleep. This thing shouldn't be a problem but I have these ones. If I use an AOSP lollipop rom (to which I want to change) I cannot disable fast dormancy and if I disable the GCMService I cannot receive any notification message (e-mail, whatsapp, etc.), which for me are important, at least e-mail. Meanwhile I have a back-to-n00t based rom, in which fast dormancy toggle works.
I will now write a summary of the things I tried and how I realize that GCMServive was driving me crazy. First of all I used BetterBatteryStats to figure out what was going on behind Android OS battery usage and I saw a lot of multipdp wakelocks (arround 30% of total wakelocks and just 30% of deep sleep) under kernel wakelock tab. I did a search and I saw that it is related with fast dormancy. So I tried to disable with all the methods I could find on internet:
-Using Fast dormancy toggle for I9300 app (Play store link: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.gokhanmoral.fastdormancytoggle.i9300 ). Worked on stock roms, not working either in CM11 nor CM 12.1.
-Using Fast dormancy toggle for I9100 app (xda thead: http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s2/themes-apps/fast-dormancy-toggle-app-version-1-5-t2647015 ). Not working on CM11. On CM 12.1 I couldn't connect anymore to the 3G network.
-Manually editing the "nwk_info.db" file. No luck.
-Editing build.prop with "ril.fast.dormancy.rule=0 and ro.config.hw_fast_dormancy=0". Bootloop on CM11 and it is not maintained anymore on CM 12+ roms, as I read here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=60511737&postcount=13426
-Using the code *#9900# with phone keyboard. Just available on stock based roms.
-Different modems and kernels. No succeed.
After all these trials I started to freeze apps and when I froze Google Play Services I could get a 93% of deep sleep and just 1% of multipdp kernel wakelock. So it was clear what was causing the wakelocks. Then I started to disable the services running in the app and when I disabled GCMService I got again a 90% of deep sleep and 1% of multipdp wakelock. But there were no e-mail notifications anymore. So I am blocked here.
Does anyone know how to reduce the activity of GCMService and still be able to receive e-mail notifications but no having wakelocks? If it is possible I prefer a solution not involving xposed.
Thanks a lot in advance.
And I want to acknowledge in advance all the rom developers who created the roms I used and the developers and researches who made the apps and procedures I used here.
More info:
Test environment: WiFi off, GPS off, Bluetooth and NFC off. Just 3G mobile data on with full bars signal and fast dormancy on.
Roms I used: Blekota Note 4, official Cyanogenmod 11, and ArchiDroid 3.1.3.
Edit: Greenifying all GCM apps doesn't work either.
