[Q] No SIM No Baseband No IMEI - Galaxy S II Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi
Can any one help me to determine the problem with a GT i9100t.
I have installed stock firmware in an attempt to get it working but no luck.
It will not detect the SIM, has no IMEI and no baseband.
Is there a way to prove if this is a software or hardware issue.
it has JB 4.1.2 installed via this package I9100TDCLSD_I9100TTHLLSD_I9100TDCLSD_HOME.TAR.md5
One thing I have noticed is the hardware is actually a Korean version an SHW M250K. Not sure if this should cause a problem as it had i9100T firmware on it when I got it.

[Q] Chinese i9308 galaxy s3 problem

Hello all,
I have encountered a problem on my i9308 galaxy s3 so I hope some of you on xda could help me out.
First of all, I got the phone from China Mobile. As such, there was no play store or any google related apps. Thus I flashed a custom rom using cwm.
Everything was fine, until I noticed the micro sim card was not recognized, and so I flashed everything back to the stock rom. But now, even though I do get bars, whenever I try to call, it says "not registered on the network".
I also tried flashing a custom rom in cwm then flash the i9308 modem in odin, but the stop sign symbol is still present. I also tried flashing an UK firmware (PDA) and the i9308 modem but odin fails at the modem flashing part.
Frustrated, I took the phone to the T-mobile store, but they figure out what's wrong with the phone. They gave me the number for tech support, but I have a feeling that they won't resolve this problem.
Thank you for reading this post, sorry for the long story, but I wanted to give the whole picture for my problem.
I would gladly appreciate any help at all, so post your ideas, even if it's far fetched.

No, the Galaxy S3 GT-i9308 is only sold by the company China Mobile, so if you've never lived in China, you probably have never seen one.
On another note, I'm still having the same issues. I flashed the i9300 (US) firmware onto my i9308 to basically turn the OS into an american version but now my SIM is not being recognized and the phone will not register for any updates. Im going to just flash back to the stock i9308 firmware, root it then uninstall all the chinese apps, flash to AT&T and it should work fine considering I was able to flash to ATT, previously, before flashing the i9300 firmware, and everything worked fine except for having problems getting the Google App store to work correctly and such...which I'm sure I can play around with it a little longer to figure that out. Anyways - hopefully some of my errors will help stop others from doing the same.
where did u get the stock firmware ?

Can you share the link for the i9308 stock firmware or the original baseband version.

[Q] GT i9100 from Claro to ???

Hi,
I am not brand new and have usually been able to find what I need on my own. This time it's not so easy.
I bought a GT i9100 from EBAY. It had a broken lcd. I replaced it, turned it on and noticed it had CLARO version of ANDROID. So I flashed with Odin to an official GT i9100 ROM from SAMMOBILE that I have used on many GT i9100's. Then I connected to KEIS(KIES) and was notified of a firmware update which put me on 4.1.2 baseband I9100xxms2. BUT it is sim locked??? I thought these were International versions with no locking?? I know I could probably use GALAXSIMUNLOCK which I used once before but would rather try to complete the FLASH to International version if my understanding of that is correct.
Does anyone know of a ROM/KERNEL that would achieve this?
Thanks, Steve
Claro's firmware are all branded and it's devices are all network locked to any carrier but claro (obviously).
Hence you need to root it and unlock it, you can do this with any firmware, stock or custom.
And stay away from kies, use odin.

[Q] Problem with converted SHW M250S to i9100

Hello,
i recently bought a galaxy s2 i9100 with 4.0.3
a week later the gps stop finding any sats,
i took the phone to the nearest phone lab and there i found out it was converted SHW M250S to i9100
they even switched the imei to a i9100 one!
i started seeking this forum for information about this,
tried switching firmwares and kernels, and even stock version 4.1.2, and of course a lot of gps problems guide in here but i couldnt get it to work.
my question is how can i know if the gps problem is hardware\software problem?
is there a chance that going back to SHW M250S firmware would solve this issue?
and of course, if i would need to change the gps part, are the i9100 gps part is the same as the korean version??
thx for the help.
plsss helpppp

[Q] [Q} Not registered to network after update

A friend bought a second hand S3. It's orgin is from US (carrier is unknown).
The device was rooted and running 4.1.2. He updated it using ODIN. Then the phone cannot connect to network.
We tried flashing different firmwares using ODIN (Bulgaria/Germany/.... ), also different modems. The result is the same. I have tried all the methods I can find on xda (Including ARIZA patch) .
The EFS is not corrupted - the devices shows the correct serial number and IMEI in the settings menu.
Any help would be appreciated
Is it actually a i9300, US models are very different and the i9300 isn't sold in that country.
Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk
It says I9300 on the label under the battery.
I was able to flash 4.1.2 and didn't loose IMEI and SERIAL number, but still no network access.
I think it's US, it has US power adapter. The label is written in Spanish/English
Update: The phone connects to a network when using Android 4.3 with Patched XXUGMK6 baseband and kernel.
Can someone tell me how to repair it so it can run stock firmware. Why is the patched kernel and baseband needed? I found only the solution but not the reason for the problem.
Thanks

SIM card wont register on phone.

Hey all..
I had a weird thing happen to me today, my s3 GT-i9300 wont register the sim at all it all started when I flashed 4.3 from 4.0 today I've tried everything possible to get the sim to register. In all honesty, I've become discouraged and would be happy to just get back to stock rom... at least the network was working. lol
Originally I bought this s3 in HONG KONG, the baseband version that I flashed 4.3 is from Kazakhstan.. So I went over to http://samsung-updates.com/device/?id=GT-I9300 and found that TGY (Hong Kong) has 3 firmwares: I9300ZSUBNB1- 4.3- 26.02.2014 and I9300ZSEMK3- 4.1.2- 06.11.2013 and I9300ZSEMC1- 4.1.2- 11.03.2013
Question: Which one do I use? and what would be the steps in fixing this problem?
Heres my info:
IMEIs match on BOTH in status of phone and on the back of the phone
Im currently on 4.3 Android Version
Current Baseband version: I9300xxugna8 [Kazakhstan]
Cell phone carrier: Mobilicity (Which is owned by Rogers)
Thanks for all the patience and help in advance.
Cheers.
Nevermind gents, found the solution. ANDDDDDDD the best part is.. I can stick with the 4.3... [sarcastic YAY]
Solution thanks to the folks at AndroidVeterans
Maybe the ROM you used is not Stable 100% that's why u faced that problem. So the solution is to back to your stock ROM with the official baseband that it was installed before you upgrade. in my opinion if you flashed a stock ROM with the wrong baseband can make your device unsupportable to the network (even you flashed many ROMs the problem will still exists)

Don't panic bro ,international S3 had this problem on updating manually , not for custom roms only for stock 4.3
The only solution is z3x box , it can be only done using that box :good:
You have to only repair network from it
