There is a not a way to do that yet. I'm sure you used Towel root to root 4.4.2 and not trip KNOX. Towel Root dose not work for 4.4.4 yet. Neither does Kingo Root, and Root De La Vega. The 4.4.4 update patches the exploit in 4.4.2. You can read through my thread here http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/general/samsung-note-3-rom-flashin-basics-t2896440 unless you are actually using the containerization security of KNOX, you don't need to worry about the warranty. Read about my trip to the Sprint Corporate store. Sprint will cover the warranty as long as if is not rooted when you bring it in for service, or send it back to Sprint for service. If the device is hard bricked there is no way to tell it has been rooted and they automatically replace the device.

[Q] If I root MJ4, can I still flash future updates?

In about a week, I'll be gifting a Note 3 to my wifey and mom and I'm planning on rooting their phones. Based on what I've read so far, it seems like there is no way to root MJ4 without setting off the Knox flag, am I right?
Second question is, once I've rooted MJ4, can I still flash future tar updates even with Knox set at 0x1? I know I cant revert/downgrade but I should be able to flash newer updates, right?
Edit: One more question. . Is there a Knox-safe bootloader version people are using when upgrading to just the newest ROM's, kernels, and modems? On the S4, we're using the MF9 bootloader stripped of Knox when upgrading to MJA and MK2.
Quick update. The latest Kingo root app worked just fine on MJ4. Root without setting off Knox.

[Q] Towel Root ?

So I've seen it done on a Verizon and AT&T Models, but not on a TMobile and i have some questions,
Will it work on my device? (Given my specs below)
Will this brick my device?
Will it trigger Knox?
Just Root and SuperUser Right? No Custom Roms?
How much trust should i put into this developer?
SM-G900T
4.4.2
Kernel : May 23 2014
Security: Release 3
> Any other things i should tell about my device, to help you, help me?
(I Already know the steps to use TowelRoot)
That is how I rooted my phone back with the original software.
If you are running the newest stock version you will need to downgrade first.
Newer kernels have patched the exploit used by towelroot.
..
Rooted my phone on the same exact kernel about 2 weeks ago and it is still (as of today) 0x0 NO KNOX triggered meaning my phone is still safe from knox 0x1, I have not had a single problem rooting or using rooted apps, your safe with the towel root any other questions just ask
Just purchased two TMO S5 to retire my two S4. Used towel root on both phones and it work without any issue. Did the Philz CWM recovery but still waiting for the Rom Mgr version to appear.

I used Towelroot with same software as you have currently. All went fine.
Worked on my new T-mobile S5.. I used this method on my prior AT&T S as well.

Root Questions Regarding N900PVPUCNAB

I just picked up the Galaxy Note 3, I didn't want a spark enabled phone as I want to use hotspot + voice at the same time.
I am coming from an LG G3 that I still have but will not use until sprint rolls out VoLTE and before that I had a Galaxy S4.
My phone is stock at NAB and I am not sure what is the best way to get root and run the latest version of the firmware. Will towelroot or CF-AutoRoot work and is there a way for me to not trip knox but still run a firmware version higher then NAB?
I've read a few topics in this forum and did a search for NAB and none of them have been clear as how to root the firmware version of NAB and update it to the latest hopefully without triggering knox. I don't really care if knox is tripped but if I can keep my warranty why not right? If there is no other way i'll just update to NH7 and use SuperSU or CF-AutoRoot root method that I read about.

If you want to run the latest, then you'll need to trip Knox.
Any major changes between NAB and NH7? Such as a major performance increase or significantly better battery life? If not I can just use towelroot right?
From what i can find the changes for NC5
Enhancements/Fixes
Wi-Fi Calling
NH7
Enhancements/Fixes
Android 4.4.4
HD Voice Icon support
International WiFi Calling support
Google Security Patches
KNOX 2.0
Kids Mode (Added within app tray instead of just a widget)

Definitely battery improvements, I really can't speak to NAB to NH7 performance changes. My phone came with NC5 as I got it from Sprint last Feb.

If you don't want to trip KNOX, and don't need Kids Mode then you can still update to NC5 and root with Towel Root. Here is a link for more info http://forum.xda-developers.com/note-3-sprint/general/samsung-note-3-rom-flashin-basics-t2896440 Enjoy !!!
Thanks
I am now running NC5 rooted with towel root and it works very well. I just need to find a permanent way to disable firmware update notifications next.

(Question) G925W8VLU3BOK1 root without tripping knox

is there anyway to root this on 5.1.1 without tripping knox?
I am not sure but I think if you root the phone like the post http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s6-edge/general/howto-flash-g92xf-t-tripping-knox-t3158606 and then you upgrade to this firmware wihtout change the bootloader you can do this.

[Q] Running Android 4.4.2 rooted possible to update to new OS and still have root?

I am currently running the OS below.
T-Mobile SG5 Model SM-900T
Android 4.4.2
Baseband: G900TUVU1CNK2
My knox is not tripped and the only apps I really use ROOT for is.
Titanium Backup Pro
Busy Box
Lucky Patcher (to remove annoying ads)
Is it possible to update this to a newer OS and still have ROOT without tripping KNOX?

No, all the ways of rooting beyond KitKit will cause Knox to trip on a Samsung phone.
The easiest way to update and acquire root, would be to flash a new version, that is already rooted. There are several in the Android Development subforum here. GP2 is the most recent for this phone.
