Hello, so I was running CM10 on my Fascinate for a couple months, but I decided to boot into recovery one day and I say got the error messages unable to mount to cache, etc. So I decided to start from scratch with the stock rom. Then I decided to flash CM7, but I kept on getting into a bootloop where it loops "waiting for sd to mount (20s), (19s), etc. So I decided to try out CM10 again or CM11, but then I kept on getting the warning: No file_contexts in CWM 6.0.3.3 when you try to flash CM10 and it doesn't even flash CM11. So I'm wondering what am I doing wrong. I currently have the files:
I tried the method with teamhacksung which works, but CWM brings back the errors that I had to begin with and I'm unable to update to CM11 through teamhacksung

in cwm it keeps getting an error
today, i was at work and someone tried calling, but no voice (using cm9) so i decided to flash back to stock, but i keep getting an error, even the other backup of cm9 i get a error, and when i try to install cm9 (zip) it just loops at the new boot animation
what can i do? is my cwm not working properly? its bizarre because yesterday all was working. any help will be appreciated

i flashed another rom (insanity) and it is stuck on the boot animation (just like cm9 was) ah sad times
It would help us to know what the error is saying, anything regarding the md5 check, does it fail restoring certain partitions etc etc

After some misreading on the installation guideline for a standard ROM from samfirmware (the 4.0.4 for Poland) I have ended up in error "error mounting /data!". I have installed the CWM 9 and when trying to mount "/data" I'm getting this error. I have tried to install different version of rom's 3.2 or 4.0.4 and I still can get my device to boot up (P7500).
Any advice will be very appreciated :crying:

I had the same thing, I was on the 4.1.1 Jelly Bean Rom for the past few weeks and all the sudden I was stuck with a tablet that wouldn't boot. When I went in to recovery it was the same thing couldn't mount /data or format it. Tried doing a backup and it failed at /data, tried a restore same thing. The only way I finally got my tablet to actually boot again was to follow the instructions here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1730470 it took me back to stock ICS but at least I am working and can go forward from here.

im also having same kind of problem. my galaxy ace is stuck in bootloop, but i can acess recovery mode. i tried data wipe/wipe cache but nothing worked..

Guys can someone please help me.....i own an unlocked S III I747 (initially bought with telus)
I tired flashing samsung ROM with the vanilla rootbox 3.8 ROM. I followed all the steps:
1. Rooted Phone - installed CWM and titanium, backed up all my stuff, wiped all data.
2. Booted phone in rocovery mode, and when flashing RootBox 3.8 zip, it gets stuck with the error: signature verification failed.
Tired like 4 times, always getting the same error. then performed another wipe data, booted up, then re-rooted again with odin, then booted back in recovery mode and tried flashing with rootbox ROM again, still no luck, keep on getting the same error.
now, my phone randomly keeps on loosing signal. Why am i not able to install a custom ROM on the S III I747?

I rooted my One and installed the latest version of TWRP on it last night and tried to flash CM 10.2 Stable on it. I kept getting the "Failed" message so I went ahead and made a stupid move and wiped EVERYTHING including internal storage. I ADB pushed Gummy ROM and a couple different versions of CM 10.2 but I keep getting "E:Unable to open zip file. Error flashing zip '/sdcard/ROM.zip'" Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong? It's nearly 11am and I've gotten no sleep trying to find out how to fix this.
EDIT: PROBLEM SOLVED! All of the files I downloaded were corrupted. After redownloading them on a different computer the ROM flashed fine.

I rooted and ran austom rom on my galaxy s4 for more than a month now and everything was running just fine till it got into a boot loop. i have tried reinstalling 2 new different marshmallow roms from gear and ressurection in cwm custom recovery 6 but cant seem to get to fix this and keep getting errors like "failed to mount dev block no such system or directory" or shows the process was completed 0.200000, /dev/block/mmcblk1p2 . I am new to all this and all the answers im getting are a little too difficult for me to grasp. i managed to install aroma fm to copy my files and roms to root folder of phone but to no avail, please help
