I'm glad to see that owners of the LG D620 are already modifying and playing around with their phones, but what about D625? Is anyone planning to work in this phone model? Or maybe it's just not possible to modify it... Thanks in advance.

D620 has a QualComm SoC (chipset), while D625 has a Tegra SoC. Tegra SoCes are rare so only a few devs know how to work on them.
Find a device with Tetra and ask a dev from that device to help

Update: So the Xaomi Mi 3 also has Tegra SoC (on some regions). Here is a recovery devs made for it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2521125
You can contact them and ask them to help with your issues.
Happy new year to everyone on the forums!

No it isn't, its ZTE Skate Acqua but it's still an Android smartphone
However it's a ARMv7 phone with a Qualcomm MSM7227A chipset
These phones have the same hardware so they probably used roms from them

Technically it should be because all Windows OS'es come with a big pack of drivers so does WP and the binaries seem to be compiled for ARM generic.
And the WP emulator runs on ARMv6 :victory:
However currently porting it is dangerous as Microsoft sues people doing it, perhaps when Microsoft releases WP8 if they will no longer care about WP7 then only it can be ported
but working audio and other sensors is still next to impossible as not everything is identical between those devices.. still good to see some kind of hacking

Actually if i remember correctly Microsoft provides Development kits to manufacturers and Developer phone owners which include all supported chipset drivers, so someone might have gotten his/hers hands on them
So all in all a port should be possible.
But to be honest we shouldnt expect this or

That's definitely not a Blade.
Think that's just a hardware swap. It's impossible to port WP7 to a 600MHz armv6 device (WP7 requires a 1GHz armv7 Snapdragon chip).
WP7 also needs a DirectX9 rendering-capable GPU, which the Blade does not have.
Lol nokia 610 has adreno200 only... And read comments which shows the model number

S4 Pro is an SoC, One X+ is a phone.
Perhaps you are thinking of S4 Pro and Tegra 3?
In which case, S4 Pro destroys Tegra 3.

And pretty much everything else out there - in both power usage and performance. The only announced chip that could match or exceed it is the Exynos 5250 which just launched in the new Samsung Google Chromebook.

So you actually prefer Nvidia's closed source crap over Qualcomm's perfectly documented sources? Lol

why are there few roms for the lg g2 mini? as compared the galaxy s4 mini (about 50 custom roms), the lg g2 mini has only 2-3 alpha unstable roms... can we expect more roms or it is just that lg g2 mini is not very popular and bootloader is locked..so we cannot expect more roms coming..?
Because S4 mini released in july 2013. G2 mini released in april 2014, so wait 8 months and then will se

ah ok i didnt know the s4 mini was that old. Ok thx. That said any idea if lg g2 mini will get official android l update?
Well rather than just sitting on your butt, you could start doing some research into how to built roms from sources, zaaap, has luckily for us made a lot of possibilities, so it's just about getting started. I myself am far from a developer, android expert or anything like that... But still I'm trying to find a possible way to create a miui rom from source, I'm not saying it's going good , but atleast it's worth a try.
So don't just wait, try to do something yourself and help the community

Hello guys
i compared LG optimus LTE 2 (F160S K ...) with LG optimus P760. i think that all specifications same, i'm going to flashing 4 kit kat with CM11.
what you guys think ? hehe
thank you for your comment and advice .,.,.
best regards
JasonBravo
@ jasonbravo! Were you able to do it? Or any idea where we could find more roms for this specific device (LG F160)?
Even the same TI OMAP SoC? Which is the most important part.
Is there any issue while doing it or have you already done that. Please guide us through so that others as well can do that...

What are you talking about???Chipeset , Ram , cam nothing is identical in these 2. If you need good roms for f160 visit vietnamese sites lot of stuff is there
Is it possible to port snapdragon roms to mediatek devices.
I have seen a thread by ArjunrambZ where he describes how to port roms. As I have no experience with porting I am asking any group or person if it would be possible to do some porting as MTK devices havent got basically any roms at all, most of them are buggy and most of them have slight changes to the stock rom.
Please link of thread

Link is here. I don't know if it's true to use this but I know this much that the devices are and should be identical, the only difference is the MDK and Snapdragon part
I never think it'll ever possible to port any of SD ROMs to MTK.
Sent from my Redmi 3 using XDA Labs
For porting you need base rom right? Ok, which mtk rom are already stable enough? None? And have you wonder why? Because mediatek never release their sourcecode completely, its hard for any devs compiling roms without necessary blobs. Sorry if I wrong, I am not a devs, just had some reading knowledge.
The points is, the source code. Blame Mediatek.

It's possible to do anything.
But this is in the "so very improbable and difficult that it is practically impossible" pile.
It's difficult enough to port ROM's to different device based on same SoC; this is not only a different SoC but a completely different OEM.
What you're asking is like porting a Samsung ROM to a Sony device, or vice versa. Just not going to happen - the guts on the inside of these two devices are completely different.
