Hello everybody,
I have a phone which appears as a Lenovo A820t (MTK6589) but FlashTool detects it as a MTK6575_s01.
This phone has been bought in china from an online shop (about 50/60 euros), and I think that is a FAKE Lenovo A820t.
In attachment there are two photos of the phone:
- FRONT
- REAR
Anyone knows which phone can be this?
Maybe is it similar to a POMP P8?
Unfortunately, due to my inexperience with such phones, I have flashed it with using wrong files because I was shure that this phone was a Lenovo A820t.
I'm looking for a firmware to such phone, please help me
All scatter files for MTK6575 which I have tried does not identify correctly flash or dram...
Thank you very much.
This is a FAKE.
Original Lenovo A820T had МТ6589, 1Gb RAM and 4Gb ROM. Price in China - $ 150

The question is: considering that is for sure a FAKE, which phone is it?
I need a firmware to flash it.

After some research I have found that my phone is *very* similar to the ETON T820 (maybe is the same phone).
Anyone has the firmware for such phone?
My phone is oppo model as above problem but I have not found firmware to restore several day for that phone and still need it.
It is similar lenovo A820T
Some information for my phone:

IMEI 2 :unknown
SW Version : ANdroid.L7RET.BXC.FWVGA.F7.0723.V3.02
Modem Ver :MOLY.WR8.W1319.MD.TG.NP.V1.P2 ,2013/07/22 17:56

Build Time : 2013 07 24
Please Help me someone who know that.Thank for all your help.
Best Regards
i have a Pomp P8, yes the soc is the MT6575 s01 , but the bad news is that until now i never found a good custom rom for it, maybe you need to port a similar soc rom for your phone.
Good luck
I just bought an L9 P679 metro pcs
at my local best buy for 99 bux
i carrier sim unlocked it so it can accept a tmobile sim chip and lock in to the network
i will plan to use it as my main phone
current android specs as follows
Android Version 4.1.2
Baseband Version L620_MODEM_SIC_01.1305.00
Kernel Version 3.0.31
Build Number JZO54K
Software Version LGMS76910e
Questions
1
when it boots you see the LG logo Followed by the metro pcs splash screen then the home screen
Changing the bootloader to Tmobile will make the METRO splash go away and instead see the Tmobile splash creen ?
2
I saw Tmobile US bootloader and Some Euro version that many people looks to love
What is the diference between the 2
3
Do i need to Unlock the bootloader to i can install CWM and the install CM10.1
or i need to root only
4
I saw a Tmobile Radio update file
do you need to apply that patch to your phone so it works better, like having better reception ? or
i just leave that alone
the method of rooting and boot unlock the L9 , seems to be more complicated than when i installed CWM and
Flashed my Samsung Exibith 4G with CM10.1
btw
altough the L9 is not a snapdragon dual core, the dual core TI chipset churns nice
i was playing with it and there is night and day speed increase between my Galaxy exibith 4g ( 1 core ) vs the L9 ( dual core )
not to say the bigger screen
but for 99 bux is the poors man Galaxy S2
Thanks for your time guys
Max.
Thanks
Hi All,
As all we know the WCDMA 800/850/900/1900/2100 Mhz is only a mirage, because we all know that the in example the JIAYU G4T is supporting ONLY WCDMA-IMT-2000 (which is the WCDMA 2100Mhz).
OK from my experience so far, I have flashed so many modem.img files, from TCL Idol X (S950), TCL Hero N3 and ChangHong Z9(HonPhone W33) and with no success, I'm only killing my reception because I SUPPOSE that the build of this stupit modem.img file is different or the JIAYU G4 BandMode is somekind of hardware locked only on WCDMA 2100, BUT WHY ???? Is there any posibility to unlock the WCDMA-GSM-900 Mhz, it is natively supported by the MT6589T and how the rest of the Manufacturers are able to implement it and to make it working ?
You'll ask your self, "why this guy is still trying by killing his phone so many times", well the answer is very simple, because I belive that there are no imposible things in the world and because I know how to recover my IMEIs and so on and I have even tried with the ChangHong Z9(HonPhone W33) Modem Database and AP Database and guess ... I was able to recover the IMEI and even I've used a real ChangHong Z9 IMEI and I was able to write it on my JIAYU G4T BUT ....
AGAIN with no success, there were no reception at all and I was having IMEIs and YES in the Engineer Mode in the Band Mode section there were only WCDMA-GSM-900 and WCDMA-IMT-2000 marked but there was NO reception again !!!
and that's why I'm begging you to tell me how to edit the modem.img file, because I was unable to uncompress it anyhow (tried ext4_unpacker_exe but without success, it's unpacking only mediatek factory rom ".img" files)
You'll ask why I want to edit and to try to create custom modem.img to support WCDMA-GSM-900Mhz, because those idiots from JIAYU and not only them, are going to release their MTK6592 and even the other upcoming 6595 with only WCDMA 2100Mhz support and that's very STUPID !!! And at all JIAYU have a great design !!!
Only in Europe there are 45 x Mobile Carriers with WCDMA(UMTS) 900/2100 Mhz builded networks (Including big mobile carriers like O2 in UK) and all of us which are using JIAYU or THL or even almost all of the rest chinesse clones or other manufacturers MTK based phones, we all are going to suffer if we are in such area which is WCDMA 900 coverage available only.'
I'll give you an example which is very clean example for good marketing: TCL
they have 4-5 different Idol X S950 modem.img files for their 4-5 different versions of the Idol X S950 model !!! YES I was able to check that fact by accidentally founding the source codes of the 4-5 different region specific TCL Idol X S950 phone and after that I was able to read that for every region there is different modem.img which is region specific in the needs of the customers mobile carriers.
You'll ask me "Why don't you buy Idol X" because the JIAYU is smaller it fits in my hand better, that's why and because I like the design more and because have an OTA updatable MIUI V5 on it which is working flawlessly, that's why.
Also why I'm going to buy the next MTK6592 based JIAYU S2, because it have even better design (139mm x 67.5mm x 6mm) than the Idol X+ S960T (140.4 x 69.1 x 7.9 mm), but again it will strugles in WCDMA 900 Mhz that's why I beg all of you developers to help me to figure how to redifine the modem.img to be custom configured by our needs ?
Thanks in advance and sorry for the long post

OK there is no need to answer to my question, because I've been answered already:

Hi!
Except CPU there is another parts in the radio scheme (antenna, converters, etc). So you can't use another band mode frequency if it is not supported in hardware.
Lenovo produces the same devices for China and Europe. The system firmware (ROM) is fully compatible with both versions, but European versions has 900MHz 3G and Chinese version doesn't. If people flashes modem software from european to chinese devices - the can see 900MHz 3G in Engineer mode, but it don't work...
So I say "no" for whole you question. You can't make it supported...
:crying:
but the hope dies last:

hope that this sexy baby will have international versions of itself !!!
I am having similar problem.....

Here's my problem....
I have a Blu Life One M phone. It's a rebadged and "Americanized" Micromax Magnus A117. So I can flash roms for the A117 and they work great, except for the data modem. My phone supports HSDPA+ 42Mbps band (850,1700,1900 UMTS). Problem is that the India version of the phone A117 only can support GSM band (850,900,1800,1900). SO, If I have the Blu roms flashed...I get a HSDPA (about half that high speed listed though but a big improvement). With any of the India roms (inc, Cyanogen and such) I can only get GSM band. Sloooow. The engineering menu shows choices to tick the boxes to include the other freqs I want...but they are grayed out.
So, to have all the nifty cool rom stuff, I have to go WiFi only. To go plain Jane gives me the high data speed.
Any way to get those choices un-grayed....or do I have the Rosetta stone of making these changes...or go back to stock and dream ???
Thanks for any info.....
BTw.. It is a MTK 6589t SoC.

Hi team, when I install stock ROM Cloudfone Excite Prime only support WCDMA IMT 2000, in my country 3G not connect.
When I flash BLU LIFE XL stock ROM I got this basebands 3G enable (WCDMA-PCS-1900, WCMD-AWS- 1700, WCDMA-CLR-650)
The cuestion is how can I change the baseband, what is the file than I change?
Please help me, thanks
Hello all,
my wife bought Nordmende NS531Q dual sim smartphone. Due to some problems I came across I tried to flash a new ROM that unfortunately it was not suited for it so phone got brick.
I tried to find a proper ROM for it, but I got nothing on internet. Could some of you help me or at least tell me how I could find the "real phone model" (I'm sure Nordmende rebranded it). I guess it supports an MTK chipset.
Thanks a lot in advance
Hello everybody. New to the site, but learning a lot.
I purchased a Chinese an unlocked android phone from Taiwan, LKD L8, and I thought I was supposed to be able to swap SIM cards pretty easily. When I got it to the US, I was originally on T-mobile. Recently I tried switching carriers and when I put in a new SIM card I now have to enter a privacy password. I called both T-mobile and Ting and they both said it's a phone issue. Unfortunately I cannot find any tech support from the company. I tried resetting the device, but that does not remove the privacy password. I searched and I guess I'm not the only one with this problem. A suggested fix is that I flash the ROM. I can't find LKD L8 on this site, so I was wondering if I could flash a different ROM? From the little I know, I have to make sure the chipset is the same correct?
The specs on the L8 are very similar to the Samsung S5 I think.
L8 Specs:
WCDMA 850/1900/2100MHZ
Chipset MTK6592-1.7Ghz-Octa-Core
OS android 4.4.2
Sim Dual-SIM Dual-Standby
Gravity Sensor yes
Distance Sensor yes
GPS yes
FM yes
USB 5 pin mini
What do you all think? Could I flash it with the Samsung ROM?
Thanks for your help. I tried other forums, but this site seems to be the best.
