Is there a way to reduce the speaker, or just the alarm volume with rooted 4.4.4 AOSP Official Google Edition. I don't recall selecting or installing and volume hack, but the ringer and alarm volumes are extremely loud, even on minimal. Thought maybe Gravitybox would have a mod but doesn't appear so.
Thanks

I'm having issues where my i9300 is not navigating through music tracks on CM10 based ROMs.
On stock, pressing and holding the volume key will make the volume go up or down until either limit is met. Now, on CM10 based ROMs, the volume will only increase or decrease by one point but the music tracks do not advance.
I have used stock ELLA ROM with a flashable mod, CM10, PACMan ROM and JellyBam.
JellyBam has the unfortunate effect of crashing PowerAMP if I enable to AOKP lockscreen volume button music control, so I can't use that ROM (nor did I want to, I was just testing it).
I am using PowerAMP with the ICS lockscreen turned on.
This works flawlessly with my HD2 so I know exactly what I should be doing, it just seems this particular handset doesn't want to work.
Does anyone else have this issue or know of a proper guaranteed fix?
Thanks in advance,
Dan
I been searching and looking for an app or mod that will allow all my volume levels to be changed at the same time with just the volume rockers.
Similar operation like the iphone uses, one volume for all, notifications, ring, media, etc and NOT individual like any JB rom.
I currently have CLEANrom v5.0
I know that CM will do this as a default but i need touchwiz for some stuff that i do on the phone daily.
any help is welcome.
I have asked this question in some of the individual ROM forums but never got a good answer. So starting a new Q&A thread.
How in the world can I bump up the in-call volumes on AOSP android 4.3 roms? I am talking only in-call headset volume.
Music volume is fine, In-call speaker volume is also fine (4.3 roms) - Just cannot get the in-call headset volume bumped up.
Tried using Devil kernel with Devil app - but I do not understand what values/parameters to bump up
This is pretty much the only issue I always flash back to TW roms. Anyone got any advise/suggestions?

What do you have your phone set to use. DSP Manager or something else. You can edit the individual volumes in most of the sound managers.

SO, we all know about Lollipop of course, and how it changed from 4.4 and all. (Silent mode, volume toggles AKA Media volume, alarm clock volume, phone volume, etc.) Not a lot of people like that, and how it is not as accessible as it was in KitKat. Yes, we know, download an app! As that is a somewhat good solution, is there a way or mod to get that customization back from 4.4 to 5.0? Does Google have any plans of making that come back in a later version of lollipop?
Hi all! I am currently running a rooted version of Lollipop OC1 on an MDK bootloader (this is the stock VZW Rom, just rooted by @muniz_ri). I've realized that the volume through headphones is very low, especially when using the built in equalizer in google play music. Is there any mod or method to increase volume? Its about a third of the volume that 4.4.2 was.

I've noticed that LP always wants to reset the volume to a "safe level" when connecting bluetooth headphones/speakers, and gives a warning when you try to increase it.
Edit: Found this to pretty much defeat this:
From within the default Music Player app, tap the “Menu” button.
Choose “Settings“.
Check the “Smart Volume” option so that it is turned on.
A dialog will appear telling you that “Smart volume is enabled“. Tap “OK“.
