Hi,
This is the first time that i tried to install a custom ROM. But when i had to format my /system folder I cleared it instead. So now I'm stuck in TWRP without a ROM to boot. Can someone please help. Thanks for your time

Hi All...
I was trying to install a new ROM, but before, i wipe the user settings, cache partition and dalvik cache...
Since the new files was not ok, the instalation was aborted... The previous rom (villainROM 3) kept looping around and around and did not boot.
So, with ODIN, i flashed an official ROM, like i've did before, installed CWM APP and try to boot into recovery mode, but now, all i have is android system recovery... The CWM recovery is not there...
I've already installed rom manager and installed CWM Recovery from there, but still no sucess...
How can i revert this and have CWM recovery so i can install roms again ?
Cheers,

So I was able to successfully root my AT&T HTC One X and decided I wanted to install the CM 10 ROM (1st ROM install). I did all the data backups with Titanium, downloaded the latest zip files from cyanogenMod (both the 12/13 and 12/14 nightly versions), transferred them to my phone, booted into recovery (TWRP), did a back-up, did a system wipe, flashed the ROM and then did a reboot. However, when it boots it gets stuck in the boot-up screen (bootloop) and doesn't do anything. I have read on this and it keeps saying to wipe system data again and flash the ROM again and it keeps doing this. I want to install this ROM, but I need some help. Any suggestions on what I did wrong?
Do I need to manually flash the boot.img file or should I only need to transfer the zip to my phone and install after wiping/doing a factory reset?
Well, that didn't work either as the zip file failed completely during install. So I downloaded the latest "stable" version just for giggles and wiped everything again and did an install. Just like before, the install was successful and on reboot it locks up on the boot screen. I am at a loss on what to do.
Hey buddy, i had cm10 running on my HOX, when i did it i had to flash the boot img through fastboot as well.
I found a tutorial on youtube by cursed forever helpful, sorry I'd post a link but my thread counts not high enough yet

Hi,
Of course it's not working! xD
Before installing any custom ROM's.. there's an important step: you need to unlock your bootloader. *smiles*

Try to install a Cyanogen Kernel before flashing the rom.
Hi,
So I am going to try to be complete and if anyone has a suggestion not mentioned I am willing to try.
So i received this phone from a freind who was just giving it to me. It had Ressurection Remix installed and all his personnal data. So i backed up the personnal data to give to him and wanted to do a factory reset. While doing so, It seemed the ROM had been reset too because the phone just went into twrp. On the stuff i backed up to my pcthere was a file with RR (turns out it comes from here:https://www.needrom.com/download/z7-max-rr583/) and the gapps zip.
So being an idiot, i decided that all i had to do was (like in a tutorial i watched) wipe the stuff and flash both zips. The problem is, I didn't take a backup in twrp. Because when in the tutorial he said backup, I thought that was the data on the phone wich in this case I don't care about. Anyway, when flashing those 2 files, after a reboot, the phone would not boot into the ROM. It would get stuck on the nubia loading screen. So I tried to follow the instructions on the Ressurection remix post on xda(https://forum.xda-developers.com/zte-z7/development/rom-resurrection-remix-5-7-1-nubia-z7-t3425664) but to no succes. I tried cm 11 and lineage but that didn't work either. (I tried some bootloop "fixes" but that didn't work).
If anyone could help me either fix the bootloop or restore to stock rom that would be very nice. I found the instruction but can't understand it.
Thanks in advance!
