REQUEST- Gallery and Clock app from samsung S3 - Sprint LG G3

Guys I migrated to the lg from the galaxy s3. I love my LG but there are 2 things I miss from my s3 namely the gallery widget ( I loved the way i was able to put up a picture frame and it would cycle through my pictures. and also i love the built in alarm clock from the s3).
I pulled the apks from a rom from my s3 and tried installing them to my g3 but didnt have much sucess. I tried copying them to the system folder and giving it permissions like the other apps in the system folder and then restarting but still it would crash those apps.
Can anyone help me getting them to work with our g3.
i am attaching a link to the gallery app as its too large to upload here.

Anybody? hints or pointers are just as welcome.

Not a clue man. What's it do if you try and just install it.

Its FCs.

It probably depends on some stuff from touch wiz to run. I don't know much about it but it seems like a ton of work to get it going. Try uccw and look for a s3 skin for it.

THought it might be that but was hoping it was an easier fix. anyway any recommendations on a good alarm clock app and a good gallery widget?

Pretty much all the Samsung Widgets need Touchwiz to work. At one point I disabledTW on my S3 and most of the widgets didn't work any more.
But searching on Photo Album Widget in the play store finds a ton of apps that might do what you want:

Program Monitor Widget in non TW Launcher

Does anyone think it would be possible? The widget is nice and clean, telling you the amount of apps running. If it is possible, I'd like to use it in LauncherPro.
Me too (running Galaxy S I9000 though). I had a play around, found I could run it as an 'activity' in LauncherPro, but only running in its own little screen, not as a widget. Had a play around with the apk and some basic dev tools, considered either copying the app but making it a regular widget which could then be installed like any other, or creating a new app that runs the existing activity (like LauncherPro) as a widget. Unfortunately, either I'm not skilled enough or it's not possible (or both - I'm not skilled enough to properly work out that it's not possible ).

Like most widgets, just being able to glance at the Program Monitor widget rather than open Task Manager is faster, that's all
Good news - I looked into this a while ago and was stumped as per my previous post. Then a couple of days ago I stumbled upon how to properly decompile the widget's apk, which I have now done. Very busy with other work right now, but will look into trying to turn it into a widget that runs on any launcher as soon as I get the chance - hopefully as an easily installable apk file (by recreating the program as a standard widget), but possibly might need to be an update.zip file (modifying the program in /system/app to run as a standard widget). Will post any updates.
That would be awesome - I have been googling this for a while now and I didn't think it was possible to do. Keep us posted!
The same as me ! Keep us posted if any news !
I too would like to get just this running again.
Any word on this? I love the widget.

anything ever happen here? Got Bionix v1.2 with TW launcher but program monitor is gone. Love to get it back
nothing with this yet? it'd be a great addition to roms.

Can't believe that i haven't came across this thread but if it hasn't been answered. A port has been created and it's called "Active Apps". Try a search in a market and it should appear.
Well the closest you are going to get it seems is active apps. It's not as fast, and it doesn't show everything (I.E if you hold home and bring up the task manager, it will show your aftermarket launcher as an active app, where Active Apps doesn't show it if it's running on top of it)and it's a little laggy, but you can theme the icon, change colors, it doesn't monitor battery use and change colors but it's still the best you are going to get for a program monitor style app.

[Q] Lost My Photo Frame Widget After Touchwiz?

Can someone check for me if they still have the photo frame widget after the touchwiz update. I really like the one that came with the Tab, and after touchwiz it seems to have disappeared. I tried a few different ones in the market but none of them worked really well. I am not rooted if that matters.. Thanks...

Is there anyone with the touchwiz update that will be able to check this for me. I just need someone to go into their widgets and see if the Photo frame widget is in there. If it is I will do a factory reset I guess to get mine back. Before I do that I would really like to confirm if it just happened to me or with everyone.
Thanks for your help...
There is a photo widget that's now named "Gallery". It has a lot more size options if I remember correctly than the original Android photo widget.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 digital clock widget?

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone knows of any way to add the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 digital clock widget for use on this tablet? Thank you
if you get your hands on the apk, it should work fine.
look in their forums for a rom or system dump and rip it out of there, if i had one handy i'd put it up for you
That's not true...cross-device/manufacturer system apps almost never work because they are tied in with the rom framework or whatever. I've never gotten the weather and clock widgets from the Tab to work on anything else..
Try HD widgets

personally i like beautiful widgets more than the Samsung clock or hd widgets...

[Q] Can you help me find the perfect Launcher?

Hey Guys,
I am in dire need of a launcher I like. I have a Galaxy S II i9100 running CM10. The only Launcher I have used that I love 100% is TouchWiz ironically... But the battery control is too poor to justify a switch back to Stock Roms (And no Jelly Bean!?)
I have tried the extracted TouchWiz launchers and they provide everything I want but all of them crash far to often...
So I am looking for a launcher that will meet my desires (I am willing to pay for it).
1) App View type Ordered List of Apps in Alphabetical Order. (Not the 4x4 grid I want the 1x30 ordered list)
2) Pinch Zoom of the Home Screens to view all home-screens
3) Re-sizable widgets
Thanks Guys,
Joshua Puckett

I looked at Nova a while back, I will re-download it and check it out, thanks. I seem to remember that I couldn't do a list style, Attached is a screenshot of the feature mentioned in 1)... it is the one I want the most.
EDIT: Confirmed that Nova doesn't have the Ordered List feature. Thanks for the advice though.

have u tried apex? i love it. used on my s2 & s3..

[REQ] Themed S Planner/S Memo

Is there anyone out there that could lend there skills at themeing the S Planner and S Memo apps? I like suing both apps but am not a fan of the beige on brown color scheme they chose to use for both these apps. I find it especially odd that the widget for S Planner is nice and bright with green trim while the app is a skeuomorphic mess.
Even better, if someone could point me to a guide for themeing apps (specifically system apps) so that I can learn, I would do the work myself and be more than happy to share with the community.

Not sure yet as I just got my S4.. But I was one of the only ones to ever invert the SecCalendar and Widgets..
I am not sure if it will work on the S4... Once I get going will redo the S4 version as well..
Nandroid and flash to see if it works.. let me know... took weeks to get it inverted and all that brown out of there.. Crazy app.. If you havent themed before, I would not suggest starting with that app.. crazy coding in that beast..

Thanks for the insight. I found a grey themed s-planner app over on the international S4 side, and I've been pulling the drawable files from it and replacing those in the apk I pulled from my phone. Thought I would start there and see where I needed to go next. It's encouraging to see someone much more knowledgeable than myself who also plans on taking on this project.
A couple of questions:
Did you mean to try flashing the inverted app you built for the S3 on the S4? If so I'll give it a go this week when I get some time.
Also, I've seen the calendar app go by two different names. One being SecCalendar (or just Calendar) and also S-Planner. I'm currently running the newest Hyperdrive ROM v7 and in that rom everything is labelled sPlanner. Is there a difference between these two apps?
Thanks again!
