Hello, I have a problem with my s3 I9300. The flashlight is always on. If i open the camera it works normally but in any other case it keeps on. When the device is starting, after reboot, the flash turn on during boot.
The phone fell a few days in the sink, this was how it start to happen, but everything else seems to work properly.
Any idea? I already did a factory reset.

Sounds like a hardware issue, water can do funny things to electronics similar to this, also Questions go in the q&a area.

Hi everyone, I was wondering if anyone would shead some light onto a question I have spent a few days searching for on Google.
I have rooted my Xperia Neo (2.3.4) Using the Zergrush Runme.bar tool exploit and am now in need of factory resetting my phone to clear some problems.
The problem is, I don't know the exact way I should go about it and what problems which might incur. Here are my thoughts:
- Factory reset using privacy settings menu
- Unroot phone then do factory reset
What will happen?
Thanks everyone.
1st try Factory reset using Privacy setting menu
if it didn't help then try it with SUES,
Can you tell me, whats the problem you're facing ?

I'm worried about factory resetting if it might brick it.
The problems I'm having include sync errors, occasional resets and freezes and the homescreen being irrisponsive sometimes.
Thanks for the help buddy.

Then I'd try flashtool or SEUS immediately. Just to be sure.

I don't get it, How come factory reset will brick your phone ?
I just did it to check, and everything is working fine.
I recommend it before SEUS update!
Good luck

Hi,
thanks for your tips, but nothing works, not even on other camera apps. it still reboot itself after trying to take picture with night mode on. I think it might have to do with one of the updates prestigio released, not sure yet tho
Hey,
Recently got xperia z2. What I noticed so far is that the phone screen will not go to sleep after 15 seconds of set inactivity. It is annoying and battery draining when I get a notification and the screen does not go back to dark after that. I am currently running existenz rom but it was doing the same on stock. I am running 17.1.2.A.0.314. Any help?

sony PC companion
if rebooting doesnt fix your problem then repair via sony pc companion
also do you happen to have GLTool installed, that is actualy a causer of a problem like this
I had a factory restored stock rom and a custom rom so I dont even have any apps installed. It seems that I have a hardware issue here. Sucks

did you atleast try a repair via sony pc companion
it completly resets the device to a factory state unlike a data wipe

yes I did.
It is very annoying.
This is the process that just stays in process no matter how many times I flash a different rom. Can this possibly be a hardware issue?

Not sure how to fix then
Probably a hardware issue or an app your installing but that would only be the case if it happens after normal use
The title says it all. Any suggestion to fix it?

Have you tried clearing the cache and data of the camera app? Not sure what to suggest other than trying a factory reset otherwise. (make sure to back your data up first though)

Hi
Thanks for your response. I have cleared the data and cache multiple times but no help. I am trying to avoid the factory reset as it my wife's phone and she will get my S10+ in couple of weeks once I get my S20 Ultra. Will reset the phone that time. Want to know if I am the only one facing this issue.
Thanks David

It worked fine for me on that build. You could try wiping the cache in recovery (when phone is off, hold the power, Bixby and volume up buttons at the same time until you see a blue screen, wait about 20 seconds and recovery options will show)
I have a similar problem.
Selfie camera and iris scanner not work.
Factory reset didn't work. I think the camera is gone

if your phone is not rooted or unlocked .restart your phone when your battery is very low like you have power backup just for 10 seconds.

if your battery is 2-3 years old, try changing it with new one.. mine was struck in bootloop, tried flashing but didn't worked out.
it got fixed by changing the battery
So...sorry for forgetting...if it helps anyone:
i left the phone for about a week...then i decided to try again the "tricks" because i really like this phone..
i removed the PIN from my sim card, inserted it in the simtray and tried to call my nuber from my girlfriend's phone. i tried it like about seven times ... nothing...
then i went to make dinner and suddenly remembered i was waiting for a call and rushed to take the sim to my working phone...and when i ejected the sim....voilá... it started working again...so i deactivated the poco launcher and now i'm using the nova launcher and it's working fine...
Anyway thanks for the concern to all that answered...
For me, the phone boots fine if I remove SIM card. Once booted, you can clear data of poco launcher and it'll work fine for few days.
