everything went well until I'd kick off Rumrunner.
may only error,
Now the phone will not start, stays on the HTC logo.
entering the boot and recovery but do not know how I should do?
is from Sweden so my english sucks as I type

All you need to root is flash a custom recovery via fastboot and then flash su.
You would then and only then try running firewater.

Just wondering. Have u tried revolutionary tool as ur on hboot 1.49.0007. Maybe it might help you.

Have you tried relocking the bootloader then flashing the RUU to see if that gets the stock h-boot back?

Can't you lock the bootloader, run the RUU, and then write the secure flag s-on??? I've never done it, but I think that is the correct path.
Run the RUU for Gingerbread and then type into fastboot

Well if you're returning it I guess it won't matter if it's bricked....
Returning for speaker issues. not charging issues (like my first rezound before even rooting). So it does need to turn on.

Idk what to tell u then... I mean I would just try running the writesecureflag command since it's going back anyways but if you want it to turn on still, I guess you could just leave it s-off because some come stock that way

What do you mean?
factory reset. Now it is really acting funny. I can boot into Hboot and the phone runs through stock recovery everytime I power down. ie, set up.
I am trying to get into recovery, but it won't let me. I know its not bricked as this happened before. It just won't let me flash recovery now.
I need to get into recovery to try the RUU again and factory reset. But it is still on the firmware.

Ok, Sooo... I've had my evo lte for almost a year. Never rooted or turned S-off. last week I dropped it in water. I've opened it up removed the one little spot of pitting and dried it out completely. It only boots to the HTC screen or into the HBOOT screen but will not recover or reset cmc image everything fails, all my image files can't be found at hboot start up. I'm hoping there is a way to gain access to my phone through fastboot usb. I can rome around the terminal and i've went through the HTCdev process but after clicking the power button to accept the S-off it freezes into the QHSUSB_DLOAD issue. I'm really hoping it's not toast. maybe there is a way through fastboot to flash everything back to stock. everytime i try "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" the verify signature fails. I'm at a lost.

This usually indicates that it's bricked however there is a thread called HTC Unbricking Project in Development i believe have a look maybe it can be saved

There is no RUU for the latest OTA. There is a tool from Viperboy to RUU on the latest update but it requires S-off.

This. At the time of my previous post there was no RUU available, however, since that post, there have been a couple of RUU's that have been released, including the one for Android 4.3, which is linked above. Click on the top link in my sig and scroll down to the bottom of the OP. I have links to all compatible RUU's listed.
The RUU for the Android 4.3 update can be found here.
i flashed a custom rom and got a boot loop. it enters in recovery. tryed a stock ruu and come up with error bootloader error version any idea how to fix it thank you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! from verizon

You are s-on. Did you fastboot flash the boot.img of your rom when you flashed it? If not, that is likely your problem. Once you get your rom to boot, run the rumrunner s-off thingy and you won't have to worry about flashing the boot.img anymore.

@topgun1953 is right.....you are not bricked....just improperly flashed the rom.....do you need step by step instructions
I think i've broke my phone today, i tried to root my HTC Desire 601 and did the following:
- Unlock the bootloader
- Install TWRP
- And tried to install the supersu zip, but got some errors, so the last thing I did was use the wipe option from TWRP (I think that was what i did, but not actually sure). And rebooted.
After that, the only think that it shows is the HTC screen. I can still boot in HBoot. I really appreciate any help.

Which TWRP did you use? Your hboot and TWRP versions match the KitKat OTA so you need to make sure you are using the OTA compatible version which can be found here, the version on TWRP's site is for devices untouched by the OTA.

I've used the TWRP 2.7.1.0 version. And yes, I had KitKat OTA.
