Hi all,
I have a small problem with MROM built 20130113 - i have set mobile data limit set for 4MB and I'm unable to change it and it reduces my network speed to 300Kbits - any idea how to get rid of it?
I was just looking up the same thing. I did find this on how to fix it. It would be nice if it the fix was already in the ROM itself.
How to change Data Usage Policy - CM7
I don't know what I would be doing so I don't want to do it. I would expect that someone has a fix out there but I don't know where to find it.
Thanks, based on this thread I've managed to get rid of it
Shortly:
changing settings.db entries:
throttle_threshold_bytes --> added 000 in the end of the value - now have 3GB
throttle_polling_sec --> changed to 0 to get rid of notification
It worked, but I downloaded the file on my PC and used this program to edit:
http://sourceforge.net/projects/sqlitebrowser/?source=dlp
Then uploaded it back
After that i got myself bootloop (continous, blinking, booting screen) - fixing permission in recovery solved that

What folder did you look in? My data folder has some stuff but I can't find the settings.db
Edit:
Nevermind I found it.
Hi All,
My company has bought us 5 Galaxy Tab 2 10's to use on the job for displaying photos etc to customers, but they are insisting we have bluetooth and wifi permenantly disabled so they can't be used for anything else. I have looked around on google and found that I need to root the devices and then rename some module files to disable the wifi and bluetooth chips.
So far I have rooted one (no problems) and installed root explorer, gone into system/libs/modules where I found 2 files, I renamed one to .bak and rebooted as a test and now it won't boot! But anyway I will reflash it to get it fixed, my question is....
What are the names of the files I need to rename on the Galaxy Tab 2 10 to disable wifi and bluetooth? Are they in system/lib/modules on this device or somewhere else?
Thanks in advance, Mike.
Screwed up my Chinese No Name tablet.
Tried Factory Reset - Stalled
Searched online for CPU+Board ID for ages - No luck
Found a ROM that would install via PhoenixSuite - Locked on Lock screen. But got some info from it.
Tracked down a similar Firmware - Loaded, ALL works except that the WiFi card is not found.
With Root Explorer I Copied from the backup System folder on my EXTSD
SYSTEM - ETC -WIFI - wpa_suplicant
SYSTEM - ETC -PERMISSIONS - android.hardware.wifi.xml and android.hardware.wifi.Direct.xml
Still no WiFI
Nothing in notification bar and just Bluetooth and Data in settings.
What have I missed? Or am I barking up the wrong tree?
Any input + or - would be appreciated
I have TWRP, TiTBU and full System folder from the original firmware
Hi all,
My problem is the following: my phone's screen is dead, the phone has full disk encryption turned on, I know the password, I need to retrieve data on it and I have an encrypted back up.
The phone is a Samsung Galaxy S7. I cannot access files by plugging the phone into my computer as I can't unlock the phone without the help of the screen. USB debugging is not enabled.
I have a recent backup of the files made with Samsung's Smart Switch. However, all apk files as well as most files are saved as "enc." files and not readable decrypted files.
I have tried using gpg and openssl tools to decrypt those files individually with the FDE password of the phone without any success.
What are my options to A) either access my phone's content without the use of the screen B) or decrypt those encrypted backed up files I have given that I know the phone's password?
Thanks
Before I upgraded to Android 8 or 9 I was able to edit a file
p2p_suplicant.conf to change Wifi Direct name and passwords.
That's not the case on Android 9.
Where can I change these values?
I am running Android 10 on GP 3aXL. I have two Devices A and B connected via Wi-Fi direct. On device A, i have a proxy server running. I want to share my internet connection with device B. When i scan wifi on device B, I see SSID with the name of the remembered group on device A. I try to connect and it is asking me for the password. Where is this password info located? Tx.

How?? What do you have to change in p2p_supplicant.conf to change Wifi direct username and password?
I'm trying to tether wifi using wifi direct, I looked into this 2 yrs back, did everything I could to change pass so that, I get a fixed pass everytime, not a randomly generated one, but I couldn't get anything to work, I thought it's not possible and gave up
You're saying you've done that, I really want to know
