Good morning:
I'm writting you from because I've been trying to do screen mirroring with my Galaxy Tab 10.1 (GT-P7500). Since it was first running Android 4.0, I've 'rooted' it, put the CMW recovery and upgraded to Android 4.3 (currently running the CyanogenMod 10.2).
I've played different apps and also tried the 'Settings' menu but I was not capable to do mirroring with my Samsung TV. I look for it and find out that could be a problem with the Miracast technology, but on the web says that it is supported by all devices.
I do not know if any of you have solved this issue, if any please let me know.
Thanks a lot for your help and time.
Kind Regards.

Anyone use it? Anyone know if its possible to use it with a costom rom? I'm running Hyperdrive and cant make it work with my Miracast equiped TV. Everytime I try to connect it acts like its working then I get a message on the phone saying "screen mirroring has been shut off". I'm wondering if I need to flash back to stock. Any help or advice is appreciated.
I use it perfectly fine on BoneStock ROM. I use Slingbox and have it hooked up to my moms Fios and i can screen mirror HD content from MY GS4 to my Samsung Smart TV.
Maybe you didnt install all parts of the AllShare stuff. All things Allshare, AllShare cast, Samsung Link, and Screen Mirroring need to be installed and not frozen. Also, whatever youre trying to screen mirror to needs to have the software as well so it can receive it. So a Samsung Smart TV or other Sammy devices and AllShare Cast only works on Android 4.2.2 or higher. I can't get it to even install on my Tab 2 10.1 running stock 4.1.1 nevermind getting to work.
hey guys I have tried numerous 5.1 roms, Not a single one can i get the chromecast to actually show up on. I know the chrome cast end is working because i can use it on my note 3. But I am trying to setup this note to be a dedicated kodi machine, but i cant get the chromecast to even be listed.
Would there be a 4.4.4 rom that could use the Cast app? (my nexus 7 LTE can cast on 4.4.4) I have flashed 6 roms in the past day, and not a single one can list the chromecast. If i have to install odin and go with a 5.1 rom I can install odin.(partitions are too small as its a 4.4.4 formatted device.
This is for my sister's house and its the only spare phone i have. Casting kodi from her PC reliably is all but impossible. I would need to use screen cast.
(CM roms have issues with Screen Cast?) This is Really all the Device needs to do.
Looking forward to hearing from you guys, I feel as i have been beating my head against a wall. Thanks!

I have a Galaxy Tab 2 P5113 that originally had Android 4.1.1, which doesn't have mirroring. I also have a Tab 4 with KitKat that has mirroring and works wonderfully well on my TVs.
I rooted the Tab 2 and installed Marshmallow and I don't find a mirroring button on MM (It does have a cast button, but the cast can't connect to anything). I have downloaded Miracast display, Mirroring 360 Sender, All Screen, Samsung TV Media, AnDLNA and Allcast, and none of them have the simple mirroring that works very well on the Tab 4--ie, whatever is on the screen of the Tab 4 mirrors to the various smart TVs I have that are about 2 years old. I will add that AllCast, for example, recognizes my Viera TV but won't mirror to it. (I suppose it could play video files that would be on my TAB, but I want to see my Tab 2 screen, whatever it is with some program or ROM. Which seems to mean KitKat mirroring to me so far.)
So, my question is whether my TAB 4 type mirroring will work on MM or whether I have to revert back to KitKat or possibly Lollipop to get the mirroring.
Good evening, excuse my English, I'm Italian. I have a problem with the screen mirroring on TV. The mobile samsung galaxy s3 recognizes the smart tv samsung ue48jutxz. The TV tries to connect, the icon appears on the screen mirroring cell but then I get the message on TV "Android offline". Anyone can help me solve the problem?
Thanks in advance.
This problem has existed with custom roms for a while.
The fix used to be a flashable zip but with cm14 I'm not sure it will work. It might stop your phone from booting, it might not do anything at all.. If you feel brave and have experience with odin then you can at least try it but be ready if it all goes wrong!.
Just google "allshare cast fix i9300" or download it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4vTiHTBB629TXVtR3cxclI2OFE/view?usp=drivesdk

@admin : Hopefully this is the correct section I am posting to, else please move. Thank you
So, I had bought Onida 43" Smart TV back in 2016 as it was one of those first Android TVs in India. However looking at actual Android TV OS , you can make out that they literally ported phone OS (4.4.4) onto this TV and make it "Android TV". The ROM is also one of the developer ROMs that was ported without any end testing. Now with regular app updates TV has slowed down and apps crash often. TV in itself has never received any update from manufacturer and customer care has no idea what "update" for the TV is.
So can a clean wipe be performed and current ROM be replaced with pure Android TV ROM instead?
Thank you
Finally found a lag free ROM from a LCD/LED repair center. The lag and freeze issues have resolved after the update. TV is still on 4.4.4 but now a new list of problems have started, power button on TV has become inactive and TV now responds to Channel Down as Power On/Off. Remote control Power On/Off button no longer responds. Rest all works perfectly fine. Just my luck
Hello! I too have an onida 'live genius' android 4.4.4 tv.
