Not sure where to post my Query so will try here - I have K Zoom (SM-C115) and in the camera app when i put flash setting to Auto or Fill the camera will not take pictures, in off it is all ok, I have tried Stock kernel and Kat kernel and also tried factory reset but no luck, also tried other camera app..any ideas?

I installed a FFC and I have ICS passion RC1 rom flashed on the phone. neither front or rear camera work. when i try to open up the camera app it just freezes up. im fixing to flash the cleanup patch, but i doubt that will fix it. do i need to flash the ffc face unlock mod to get it to work? any suggestions?
Just flashed the face unlock addon and it didnt fix it. i guess im gonna reinstall old camera and see if it does anything.
i reinstalled the old camera and it worked fine, but once i reinstalled the ffc, camera would stop working. could the camera be bad? any ideas?
It is very likely that your ffc is faulty, but to make sure I would reinstall it once more and try a different rom

I recently rooted my SGS2 with this kernel. And everything worked perfect.
Then after rooting i had wiped my phone and factory resetted it. Afterwards i notice some features of my phone dissappearing.
For instance:
I can't watch videos on Youtube (i have latest flash player installed) Though i can watch YT videos on the mobile website on the Internet browser.
I can't even watch videos on my phones built-in videoplayer and neither on MX Player.
My built-in camera doesn't show the picture of what i am taking, but after i've pressed the button it shows what i have taken a pic of (Ex. I want to take a picture of a flower. I open camera but the screen is all black except for the different options which are perfectly visible. But after i've pressed the button, the picture of the flower somehow appears)
What could've caused this? And is there a way to fix it all?

Also i have only flashed a Kernel, which means that my ROM is basically Stock ROM
Try another kernel like siyah/Dorimanx. I'm sure it should fix it. I Googled it

Seems like you've messed something during the wiping/factory reset.
If you're on stock rom, you can try flashing the same firmware (which will restore any important files you've wiped)
Flashing stock rom without "re-partition" will not wipe your existing data/settings. But still Backup everything before flashing (Just in-case)
Ok,*boy*racer, i'll try your suggestion by flashing a new kernel (siyah probably) and if that doesn't fix it, then i'll just use kazi_rizwan's suggestion, by restoring my saved data (which i saved after rooting) with CWM Recovery

The mentioned problems i had with CF Kernel seems to have gone. Haven't seen everything but at the moment everything looks OK.
Probabaly just some bug with the CF Kernel, i hope Chainfire will fix it.

I have rooted the mobile using "root with restore by bina4y". After doing this I tried many things like installing SuperUser SU, Rom Manager, root external 2 internal sd, etc., but unfortunately my camera has stopped responding. When opening the default camera it shows "cannot connect to the camera" or when opening the Camera FV-5 it shows "Error opening camera driver. A Device restart might be required" or simply "a black blank screen", rest of the other things are working fine. After this I did take a backup but unfortunately even after restoring the backup, its has the same problem of camera. Also, I have installed many other software's of the camera like Night Camera, Camera FV and uninstalled. Power off , Restart or rebooting using Rom Manager etc., nothing seems to work.

NOTE : I am in urgent need of Stock Rom of the mobile device "Celkon A200" which I will appreciate gratefully.

havnt u took backup of ur stock rom. if yes just flash it using cwm / backup & restore/ restore.if not i can upload it.::good:
or just try this.go to settings / backup&reset / factory data reset.

Well, even power cycle does not work. Nor does any other camera apps work. It just simply does not connect to the camera. Even after diabling flash and camera app and installing camera ics & also camera ics+ it still does not work. It worked only once with camera ics app but when I switched it to video mode then again the same problem crept up. Seems like its a software bug with ICS.
PLEASE I REQUEST EVERYONE TO HELP ME OUT. I WOULD BE REALLY GRATEFUL TO ANYONE WHO HELPS ME OUT

If you could say me how to take backup of stock i would help you surely...its unrooted
You can try searching rom of i-mobile q2 duo (clone in Thailand) and mobiistar touch kem 432 (clone in Vietnam).
I've ported CWM recovery to this phone, here is my thread and instruction to flash cwm recovery for this phone. You can backup stock rom from another rooted phone and restore to your phone using cwm recovery:

i need help i changed the rom on my phone to put on the 4.4.2 camera (photo sphere) on and after i did it my auto rotate wont work right it would never change back to normal and it takes pics upside down i tried everything removing the rom, going back to factory reset, reinstalling a different rom everything but it doesnt seem to work

need more info.....
is it just the rom you changes or the camera
if it were me, I would just take a step back and reflash. do ALL your wipes needed. try flashing your rom twice. other developers say you can get two different reactions in flashing a rom.
flash rom 2 times
flash gapps 1 time
wipe Davlik & Cache
boot and wait the 10
reboot again
then see what ya got
I did that a lot of times already and its still the same out come it's the auto rotate feature that's doesn't work if I can get it to work I know the camera and everything else will work.
I just bought a Z Ultra GPE from a guy that I met on Craigslist. He never mentioned that the device had been rooted and custom recovery was installed. Anyway, the device works just fine except the camera. I have some experience flashing HTC phones but this is my first Sony device and I am trying to figure out what is wrong.
The camera on my device (4.4.3 with dual custom recovery - Clockwork and TeamWin) starts up okay, but it fails to focus and the shutter release button will flash but won't take any pictures. If I press the shutter and then immediately exit to home, it will capture a shot but it is out of focus. Video mode shows black screen. Front camera works just fine for still shots but video doesn't work.
I have re-flashed the 4.4.3 stock system.img file (I don't know how to flash boot.img or FOTAKernel.img) and have cleared cache and dalvik cache and the factory reset the device but the camera still doesn't work properly. I have tried to go back to stock by flashing 4.4.3 update but the phone wouldn't let me flash because it says the latest version is already installed.
Is this the camera issue that people are talking about? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

This is a known 4.4.3 bug on the GPe, alos seems to effect the ported ROM.
The only known fix is to flash the 4.4.2 system image but id you do that you won't be able to use the OTA update.
Have a read of the 4.4.3 thread in the GPe section to fully understand the problem

Thank you for your reply!!! So if I flash 4.4.2 system image, the camera will start working again?
How can I go back to 4.4.2? I couldn't find much help from GPE forum and obviously I don't have access to the nandroid backup since the seller is refusing to answer my call.

So I ended up side loading from recovery the 4.4.2 OTA. Since I was rooted, it failed the compare first time. I actually ended up going into the OTA with winrar and editing the script that was checking and finding miss compare. Can't recall quick file but it worked and I'm now back on 4.4.2 with my gpe.

My camera is also borked post update. However, using A Better Camera app setting focus to infinite, the camera does take a picture.
