[Q] How to remove Simlock - Xperia Z2 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys,
I have a simlock from A1 in Austria and want to open it for my german card.
Do you know how to unlock or remove the simlock without getting a totally new system on it?
If I insert my phone card he requests a code to unlock the phone for my card, but this **** costs online about 30€.
Maybe you can help me.
Thanks
Sony Xperia Z2

NO idea come N!

Speak to your provider see if they will unlock it otherwise pay for the code. Changing the firmware/rom will not unlock it

short answer - no
You need to SIM unlock the phone - safest way is through IMEI

You do not change the IMEI of your phone. Messing with IMEI is illegal, and you normally need special hardware for it.
To unlock your phone you need to go to a company (website) that sells unlock codes for your phone.
Than you need to pay some fee, and they will ask you for 3 things.
Phone model: In this case X10 mini pro (you need to check if it is u20i or u20a)
If you are from Europe it is probably an u20i.
Network it is locked to: example Vodafone, etc.
Country it is locked to: example Spain.
And the IMEI: you can see your IMEI if you dial *#06#
If the examples match your phone, this means that you have a Spanish Vodafone locked X10 mini pro (U20i) than you can go here and after you pay 22€ and give them the information they will send you the correct unlock code.
Good luck and I hope this information was helpful.

Unlock Sim-Lock Sony Ericsson Xperia X10

hello,
Sorry for my bad English but im from Bavaria
I had a question... I have bought a Sony ericsson Xperia from Austria and now it has a Sim-Lock! Where can i Unlock the Phone? Please give me a instruction how i can do that
Thanks
Wurmii
Do you plan on unlocking the bootloader? If so, you will probably either need to get it unlocked by your provider or through a place that has access to a tool like setool.
If you don't then there are a few other options around to unlock it via the USB cable. I myself used Davinci Team.
At the moment there are no free sim unlocks around.
You can unlock it simply using the unlock code..........To get the Unlock code,You can reach here Mobile-unlocker.com get the code and Unlock it...you need to specify the network it locked now.....

[XPERIA P] Remove network/sim lock

Hi, first of all please forgive if this is not the right thread for posting this, now i have some question if somebody can help me. Network/sim lock is the same thing ? My bootloader is unlockable and after i enter the code for unlocking in the menu next to network to box is checked with an X, this mean my phone has one of these locks ? And finally i've read that s1tool can remove sim lock, does anyone knows if it safe to use with xperia p and if is this will make my bootloader unlockable ? Thanks, don't be to harsh.
I asked for full unlock (make bootloader unlockable) Alejandrissimo MR from http://unlock-bootloader.com and he gave me answer:
"New Xperia NTX phones has new security, so there is no way to unlock those phones at the present.
As all new phones the new security has the old security holes patched and find another weak point will take some time.
I'm sure there will be a solution in the future, maybe near future.
Greetings."
so then it will be possible at a certain time
I just enter network/SIM unlock code in my Xperia P and bootloader unlocked allow still say NO
So the conclusion is that removing network/SIM lock does not change bootloader unlocked status
why the bl is locked then i had xperia play and x10 and both unlocked

I honestly don't know. I'm very angry on Sony because of this and definitely wont buy any Sony phone in the future.
My network operator told me to insert SIM card from any other operator and when I do that a opo up dialog came up requesting from me to enter network unlock code. I entered provided code and in Service/Configuration Unlocked bootloader allowed still said NO :crying:
Carrier branded versions of phones are generally not unockable as stated by sony.
To sim unlock the phone with a code wont change the bootloader lock/unlock status
Actually nothing will change this status.
So all we can hope is that somebody can do the same to the P than to the S: install CWM despite locked bootloader.

Well, this depends ONLY on your network operator. If you buy a contract cheap phone from provider, the provider is in the position to make the choice if they give you a unlockable or non-unlockable bootloader. This is NOT sonys decision, be mad with your operator or yourself for buying a phone from them instead a free one. It is the same for all manufacters.
Regards
So my operator can unlock the bootloader?

Hi, sorry to be a pain, but does this mean that xperia s cannot be unlocked for now?, what if i manage to unlock the bootloader and flash a CFW, will that unlock the sim status? i hope someone could answer me
No, it won't.
There is just one case (movil in spain) where the provider requested at Sony to provide bootloader via the online system.
but this is a very special case.
netlock unlock is decoupled from bootloader unlock. the IMEIs of phone delivered to provides with netlock are not in their online system so no unlock code for the bootloader can be generated even if you get an unlock code for the netlock
but... in my xperia p i have network/sim lock YES, why ?

Hi there,
Any news regarding SIM lock unlock?
I have a friend who has this phone, bought from T and he wants to use a Voda sim card in it.
Is it possible, without paying a lot to T to tell the unlock code?
Thanks in advance!

Bootloader unlock still not allowed?

Hi Guys,
I purchased the tablet yesterday from the o2 store, o2 have provided me with the unlatching code and now the tablet is sim free
When i enter the service menu though it still says bootloader unlock allowed no.. I was under the impression that the sim unlock would also remove bootloader restrictions?
No, simlock is totally unrelated to bootloader unlocking.

Sony M4 Aqua E2303 - Sim Unlock.

Hello everybody,
I friend of mine bought me an Xperia M4 Aqua from Vodafone UK. I live in Greece and when I put my Greek Sim in the phone I'l have to add a key/password to unlock it and use it.
After a research I found that I have to get the unlock code through Vodafone UK, but it has as requirement to have used the Vodafone sim for 1 month. Is there any way to unlock it right now? Will re-flashing the Stock ROM, or unlocking the Bootloader and flashing another do the trick?
Thank you!!
You can buy an unlock code from a third party website like www.unlockradar.com to unlock your Sony M4. They are reliable source and their customer support is the best. I'm own a repair shop and always unlock the phones with factory codes, because is the safest and quickest method.
Some of the m4 aquas show a 0 instead of a x under the sim unlock which means there hard locked and only Vodafone can unlock them which means costing around £20 unlock plus £10 to use the Vodafone sim for a month
