Hi. Anyone know where I can find the system ring tones on a rooted S3? So used to them that I'd like to bring them across to my new phone... Looked for them using ES File Explorer but cannot find them.
Thanks!
/Dan

Or if you can't access them search Samsung ringtones in the playstore.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-cQsXqvOfo&feature=relmfu
and saw the video and he was working on the video maker app which looked awesome...
someone extract and paste it here pls and make it available for 10.1
this one is the 10.1 official video maker but it seems to be avaliable only for us rom , push it to system /app via esfile explorer .but first you need to be rooted and enable root explorer from settings
I did wat u said...but i m still not getting the app folder

If it doesn't show then the copying prosess should be failed and you need to enable read/write from setting and make sure it got superuser permission. Are you sure you are rooted?

Has anyone else found the random hidden videos in their s3? These videos don't show up when you go to Gallery > videos. I found 2 videos in /system/media/video . 1 called android in space the other called sunset.

Yeah I found. Since then wondering what would be their use? They may have use for specific system feature.
The only way to have found them is by having root access or via es file explorer or something similar. Just another of Google's Easter eggs?

Haha never noticed them android in space is awesome.

They reside on the preload partition, have no use and come from Samsung.
Not exactly "hidden" if you ask me.

Not true, they are part of android, not just Samsung.
Also they are not in preload, they are part of system/media/ as already mentioned.
They are in all android installations, CyanogenMod has them, aosp has them etc. etc.

The reason for them being on the device as with other phones and tablets is so you can check video play back along with checking the screen quality while playing videos.

I would say they were hidden, a normal user wouldn't be looking around the root file systems. Most people who don't know what UNIX is would have no idea that there are directories other than what they can see on /sdcard

From normal user perspective they can be defined as hidden. I agreed. Wih Root and android everything.pretty much. is naked.

Afaik newest aroma filemanager version is 1.8 and there aren't any newer ones. But what features are you missing exactly? You have basic filemanager, possibility to copy/move/delete files, and the almighty terminal, so in general you can do everything .
Dunno..an image viewer or movie player would be nice (movie player is lessere useful...).

Why do you want those in a recovery file manager? It's not like you want to move an image or video in recovery for any reason

well, those are not features of a file manager but separate programs.
and no, that will not happen
Yeah i do. Say i wanna flash my phone and completely wipe sdcard0 but i have some images in it and ive already formatted rom folders and concerning stuff yadayada...well i could just take the whole folder and move it to my microsd and then look at it while im in the rom...but its much better to look at the images while im still in recovery...this stuff would be nice to have. Along with a more user friendly file browser..take fx browser from play store for example.

I forgot what folder to go into, but I know it's somewhere in the data partition. I'll jump back on stock and try to find what file you need to delete to get it working.

I never used titanium backup, should work.
The way I do it is with a root browser (like Smanger or Rom toolbox lite)
I'll tell you how do it with smanger app
With smanger go to this folder
data/data/com.lge.lockscreensettings
Inside com.lge.lockscreensettings folder is two files
wallpaper.png (might be named something else) & wallpaper_land.png
Delete both of those png files.
Afterwards you will be able to pick a custom lock screen background.
Wooooow i am very grateful woow bro thanks!!!!

Highly not recommended anyway. You can go have a look at the files using es file explorer or some other file explorer app and try to find the mp3 files.

Have you seen this guide before: http://forums.androidcentral.com/sp...e-all-google-play-music-external-sd-card.html
Forget what i said before about the highly not recommended crap. Since you are on ics (judging by the 4.0), it doesn't apply to you. Although, becareful not to delete any other files by mistake.
Hi thank you but this doesn't for me... I still get the error 'not enough space' when I try to download offline music...
Any other ideas?
