PIPO S1 tablet OTG wireless keyboard problem. - Android Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I got a riitek mini wireless keyboard.
Its said it should work on android, however im stuck getting it to work.
On a windows PC it instantly works.
Im trying to use it on an PIPO S1 pro, it supports otg, a normal, wired mouse/keyboard works fine.
They wireless keyboard itself indicates that it connects but there is no mouse pointer on the tablet and the keys dont works.
I have the same problem when I try to use it on Inew V3 phone, it also supports OTG and the keyboard indicates that it is connected but nothing.
Any suggestions? Thank you !

[Q] Possible to connect S2 to dinovo mini bluetooth dongle?

Hello!
I've tried to connect my Galaxy S2 (Checkrom V4) to my pc via the Logitech dinovo mini usb dongle. For some reason my phone doesn't even find the dongle. So I want to know, if there is any way to do so.
Thanks for your help!
Instead, you need to get your PC to find the phone. In order to use the logitech dinovo bluetooth dongle to act as a bluetooth one, you'll need to remove your dongle, and then press and hold the connect button while plugging in the dongle into the USB.
This is because the Logitech dinovo dongle have two bluetooth modes:
1. Embedded mode
2. Bluetooth Mode
The embedded mode is the mode your Logitech DiNovo connects to without doing all that pairing stuff. This only connects your Logitech keyboard. So in order to connect to other devices, connect in Bluetooth mode with the instructions I have listed above.
Hope that helps.
Thank you very much for this information. You just saved me hours of research.
I have a Himedia Q5 smart tv box and since this device has no built in bluetooth
but i had an old diNovo mini and thanks to android 4.03 and your information,
i'm now happy typing using this dongle and the di novo mini keyboard (incl. mouse feature).

mouse not working with rooted i9205 running CM11

So I was trying to use my mouse with my phone and note 10.1 (2014 edition), but it doesn't work. On the phone the mouse laser will try to turn on (looks like it's pulsating) but then shuts off and the mouse doesn't work. Could it be that the phone doesn't put out enough power for the mouse to work? I've used a mouse on my old s3 before without any issues, but I know the old kindle fire needed a powered usb port to run usb device. Is this the same problem and if so should I just get a Bluetooth mouse?
edit: I connected my gaming mouse and it connects as a keyboard (only can type the number 3) not as a mouse (no cursor). Does this mean its an issue with the phone?

PS4 controller (bluetooth) not working on M5 LTE?

Hello, everyone!
As I have not found anything on this, neither on XDA, nor using friend Google, I'm posting this hoping to find a solution.
So I have an original PS4 bluetooth controller and it works like a charm with other devices (Win 8.1 laptop, K1 Shield on Android 7, Sony ZX2 on Android 8). but not on the M5.
Trying to pair it with the M5 first brings up an error message "Pairing failed Incorrect pairing key or the device you want to pair with is configured incorrectly. Tray again after viewing Help." ... which doesn't help.
A second attempt will then magically pair the device, but to no effect. It is shown as paired and coected, but will not work with the tablet and apps supporting controllers will not recognize that a controller is connected. Also the controller itself shows the "idle" instead of the "connected" light.
So, does anyone have any ideas how to solve this? I re-paired the controller with all other devices, just to make sure, and it worked. So the controller is still functioning.
If it's anything like the DS3 (dual shock 3) then the controller is very finicky and requries custom software. There's probably an app for it, the Sony phone will have the driver pre installed because it's sony, and probably the shield too.
If it's connected, then yeah there's no hardware fault, just needs the driver.

Well, PS3 controllers truly are difficult to set up, but not so PS4 controllers: Turn on bluetooth, put them into pairing mode, pair, done. I had my PS3 controller with Sixaxis running after much hassle but the PS4-one is really easy to set up. And I did it on multiple Android devices.
And then comes the M5 ...
By the way: Sixaxis does not support the M5.
Yeah I did notice the same thing on my M5 Pro.
I wanted to play the odd mame game with it, and as you say it paired on the 2nd attempt, but I couldn't get any controls to respond to any buttons/triggers etc.
I haven't tried using an OTG cable to see if it will work via cable, but disappointing that it connects but still doesn't work.
Can confirm that DualShock 4 and wired Switch controllers work with a USB C OTG cable.
Hi, it looks like that the Pad have a general Problem with Bluetooth controllers, because i tried a snakebyte controller:vr and the controller hangs or it is "endless scrolling" and in games very unprecise. the same Controller work with a P20 Pro like charm. So it looks like the Problem ist the m5 Pro. Oh, and the same with the PS4 Controller M5 + wired Ps4 working, M5 + Bluetooth PS4 "He´s dead jim", P20 Pro wired/bluetooth Ps4 working.

Lenovo Tab E10 + Bluetooth Keyboard

I'm trying to get a Targus KB55 bluetooth keyboard working with the Lenovo Tab E10. Specifically, the keyboard will connect, but the Physical Keyboard setting always says "not connected", and trying to type anything on the keyboard just does nothing. The tablet connects to a bluetooth mouse and works just fine. The keyboard connects to my linux laptop and works. It just seems there could be problem with the combination of a bluetooth keyboard and this tablet. I'm curious to know if it's just the specific brand and model (Targus KB55), or the version of Android (8.1), or maybe Lenovo "broke" something so the keyboard doesn't work. In any case, the goal is to get a bluetooth keyboard working. Ideas?

Teclast M40_EEA weird OTG

Well, I was trying to use OTG on this tablet, keyboard and mouse works great connecting via USB with a Type-C adapter.
But when connecting a Logitech controller it receives power (I can turn mode on/off and the light goes on/off) but the tablet doesn't recognize, for example when I go to the Stadia app nothing appears as connected, but on my OnePlus phones works fine.
I was searching and it may be a problems with permissions, is a root really necessary and is it even worth it? What do you think?
Hi Jota, did you ever figure out the Logitech and also does this model have otg video out to HDMI cable? Trying to confirm that feature before I buy it. many thanks!
