Aokp kk 4.4.4 [build from source] - Motorola Droid RAZR

Hi, I can build AOKP 4.4.4 from source, someone wants it?

me lol

Of course!
Sent from my Razr XT910

I will test it.

Build
Ok, I'll build it next week, I've only 1Mb of internet connection(u may say "holy **** this is so bad" yes I know) so download repos tooks me about 2 days, and now I'm re downloading the repo of BAM, and it'll be finished tomorrow(maybe in 8 hours), then I'll download all repos for AOKP, and first build will be for UMTS, If it works I build for Verizon. If u want I can build a this rom weekly or once per month, in order to take new code from Cyano and AOKP. And If my router won't get burned XD I will try to build Dirty Unicorns(I like this rom but the develop finished at 4.4.2 :/ ) or another ROM.
If u know a new rom from other device that u want for the RAZR tell me and if I could I'll build it.(I only por from source, because porting copying files and something like that didn't work for me).
Sorry for the delay with the repos and my English.
Regards, have a nice weekend

Your English is fine, and YES I want this! (I only use ROMs that are AOKP or AOKP based....)

Thank You, if the rom Works, I'll update once per month like the official builds, because I saw that for example in one week they update little things. In any case that when I make the build and if some features didn't work I'll leave some days to see if AOKP team solve that and I build it again.

Sounds great to me. I know you said you will build for UMTS first, but when Spyder version is up, I will gladly test it!

[Request] Build from the source GUIDE

Hello there guys,
As we all know we only have 3? 4? developers for the HOX+ . And they are really doing all they can to help keep the phone upto date.
But as we all know they are all busy and can't update their roms that much any longer.
EDIT: Lloir already has a guide : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2187266 but I don't think he covers how to fix camera and gps and stuff
So! Is it possible to make guide on how to compile the rom from the source? I know tombridden and lloir already made a one post guide on how to build some roms but it was too specific.
I now have an extra machine (a laptop) with 500gb free storage and ubuntu as the main OS. It's quite powerful too with 6gb RAM and i7. So Why not use it to help the community while others are busy? In the meantime I will look around for some guides for other phones but I don't think they will help that much.
And please include the answers to those questions if you make a guide:
1- What to do to fix camera/GPS/wifi/Data/sensors ?
2- What approach should I take when compiling a new ROM. For example: there are no developers for PACMAN , how will it differ during compiling between it and AOKP/CM/AOSP .
I am talking about a rom that wasn't approached by Lloir so he won't have the repos for them. What to do then?
Thanks a lot and I can't wait to help
@Lloir @tombriden @PippoX3 @mike1986. and any other developer out there.
you can start by looking at XDA-University
The reply is correct. All of us moved first steps studying at XDA University.
Anyway the case is more complex than others.
For this device there are really few developers. Other device have a lot of support from constructors, many dev and the team-work result in a lot of kernels/roms to flash for the final user.
If you wanna taste the happyness for build a rom, I'll send you a guide to setup your ubuntu, download the sources and build.
But in this case, where enrc2b is not officially support, the things are more difficult.
You must have a minimal practical with java, cpp, android and kernel code (if so).
For the moment I'm in trouble to build an AOKP 4.2.2 with new kernel. I haven't device to try, 'cause the hard is build&&try continuosly.
Not the fact to have a pc turned on for hours and hours.... and the eyes&&mind open for hours and hours... but the patience to continuously try time after time.
Now I am in a dead point... many users like have S2W enable on new CM kernel... but.... the kernel won't!
Thanks a lot anyway. Thanks to @Lloir, @tombriden, @maxwen and alls who's workin' for this device.
Stay tuned....

That's what i did already. I set up the periphals/kernel/device info GITs and now i am looking for the roms, I found CM and stuff but I can't find PURE AOSP , does that mean i must download it and upload it?
I also have Oracle java installed. Do I have to have open JDK?

Now that we begin to have a solid CM base, will possible to build at least CM for enrc2b for noobs too.
And eventually "port" device/kernel" parts to others platforms. So who like e.g. PA can do...
If you agree, I can paste my personal appoints to a guide, from client setup (Sun java don't works) to the build zip rom.
Updated and corrected to last KK.

OMNI

Hi, some of you told me that want OMNIRom so I'm downloading sources now, I'll build 4.4.4, but next month I'll build OMNI 5.0 and others roms like du, but I have three reasons for build 5.0 next month:
1st, I have to sync all again in order to get 5.0 branch, and some roms don't have a solid base to start.
2nd, I want to see if CM device and vendor files for razr works, because, to build 5.0 i have to change some tools that only works for 5.0, so I can't build 4.4.4 like now.
3rd, I think that first build from CM comes on december, and it'll have a lot of bugs like 4.4, and the roms won't have a lot of stuff because, developers have to port all the features to lollipop.
Of course if someone wants to build it before me can do
Regards,
Juan Pablo Toniolo
And we should be lucky if the CM team make a working Lollipop rom for our phones...

I think yes, because on omap4 and vendor and umts_spyder now have branch cm12, soooooo I'm sure that we have lollipop on RAZR
Guys, about support or maintience for all the roms that I build, I don't know how to, because I have 4 roms on my HDD Omni, DU, AOKP, and ProBAM, I love build roms, but I only have 250HDD reserved to android and now I only have 8gb free, so I can build only one rom(for xt910 and for xt912) per day. I don't want any money for this I only told you because, all roms that I build works but have some things that work bad or didn't work , I will try to do all my best to fix all the errors and give away stables roms to use it as daily driver, I can't try all the roms in slot stock so all the feedback would be apreciated.
To close this message. I want to ask you wich rom you prefer to build first(build, to build everything and try to fix some things), you have to know that I will make a new once a week for all the roms, but maybe for example I have to fix SU and a little thing in tiles for pro bam, in AOKP I want to change one thing to display the number of the month and I have to fix another thing that I no remember now, but think that fix anything on any rom tooks me one day, this will delay all the others maybe… my idea is to work on the errors at the week and in weekend, starting from friday, build all the roms, but, today and maybe tomorrow I want to work with Omni, so "weekly" builds from others roms will be avaliable from monday. The only thing that I want from you is to put all the "errors" or "bugs" in the "bugs" section in oder to be more easy to me to find all the problems that rom have, and fix it as soon as I can, and If you want I can upload to other server and put another build for BMM(with meta-inf changed, this will be the only change that I'll do)
Anndddd I delete "cellbroadcastreciever.apk" in order to have signal in all of the builds but of anyone needs this apk I can put ir again or make a flasheable zip to add again this app. And I have a new gapps with aroma installer made by me in order to install only the gapps that you want and install aditional apps, like whats app +, nova launcher and some usual apps
Regards and sorry for a extended message,
Juan Pablo Toniolo

This morning I upgraded to 14.04 for performance reasons. After I finish syncing the cm12 repo, I will properly use the lunch command instead of the "outdated" breakfast one(I couldn't get blobs or device specific code). I will report back if I get a successful build.
Syncing should be done in a hour or two.

I will fix DU and AOKP, and then I'll build OMNI and AOSP 5.0 and DU(lollipop) and AOKP(lollipop) but first I have to build and fix all the ROMS 4.4.4 because when I want to build Lollipop I have to change SDK and other tools and I can't build 4.4.4 anymore

PURE AOSP

Hi, I want to know if someone wants a pure AOSP 5.0 for our RAZR, I remember that maybe it's the last rom than I can build and have support from me, I'll took me maybe a week to build it(because I don't know if it will be the same like DU or OMNI) I know that AXXIONPOP have builds working for razr, but I think that maybe we can try out AOSP like a real ota from Motorola.
I don't promise to make it work, but I'll do all my best because I want to try Android as is

Yes please!! That would be amazing!!!!
If you get root on it, I will use it.
That would be wonderful! Thanks for all your hard work!
I'll build AOSP with R7 because, I'm downloading R6 and google put a new release today and I have to redownload all again, so in order to don't waste more time I will build release 7, remember as @Vlasp say, you won't get root on it for now
+1
AOSP for spyder would be great.

Looking for an Alpha Lollipop build for the G2? Look no further!

"The G2 Dream Team" (and they well deserve that name) has released not one, but TWO lollipop builds for the LG G2. Both ROMs are based on the same build tree, but one ROM is CM12 and the other is a LiquidSmooth 4.0 ROM. Despite being built from the same build tree, they carry different features. They are stable and usable for daily drivers, but they may carry some bugs, like a non-functional video playback, NFC issues for LS/VS980 but it should all be sorted out in the near future. Head over to the threads to read more!:

Older posts:
An increasing amount of devices have been receiving unofficial Android Lollipop 5.0 ports, like the HTC One M8 and the LG Optimus L9. Today another device can be added to the list of phones receiving a treatment with the taste of Android Lollipop, the LG G2. While there generally has been a wide contribution from the community; testing, sharing files and giving ideas, two XDA members stood out in particular in order to create the build, @ylukasy and @InfinitusDesigner. The port is still in a very early pre-alpha stage, and the bugs are barely known yet, but the ROM boots and has even been rooted! While it might be wisest to wait until an official thread has been made before grabbing your devices and start flashing, @ylukasy has already provided a download link for the ROM, and calls for people to help discover the bugs so that they can be eliminated. Please notice that the ROM might not be stable enough to be used as a daily driver, but owners of a LG G2 are officially an important step closer to having a stable Lollipop ROM!
If this post caught your interest and you're willing to take the risk, head over to the last pages in the following thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/general/unofficial-cm12-nexus-5-posted-t2936398
As previously mentioned, a lot of things are not sorted out yet, and the build might not be for your device number, so make sure you read the entire thread before continuing, or simply wait untill an official thread is made.
Update:
An official thread has been posted and it can be found by following this link: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g2/development/rom-android-lollipop-fast-clean-t2941922
The build is a port of the Nexus 5 ROM, and users of the ROM have been saying that the rom is very fast and fluid, calls work, camera works (although the quality is inferior), but other users have been reporting random reboots and incompatibilities with certain apps such as YouTube or WhatsApp.

This post will be updated regularly when new information regarding Lollipop ports surface.
Fantastic News! Will get round to trying it shortly, thanks for the link!
While I have my doubts about it being functional (or even booting) on my LS980, I'll give it a shot and see what happens.
Nice to see things moving at breakneck speeds these days.
On a side note, I just read the AnandTech review of the Nexus 6 and am happy to report that my well over a year old G2 beats it in several benchmarks so I'm pretty satisfied at the moment, especially considering I got it for free. I mean really...
In before "no build for xxxx?!?!?!?"
Anyone know how to port a d802 rom to d800?
Ready to try it out and see what happened..??
his build is from the same source the other was he doesn't deserve credit for it. it's using cm12 kernel and dev claims it's using nexus 5 port yet requires gapps and no signs of any nexus 5 code at all.
Wouldn't it be alot easier to just post the download link here?

OP has been updated.
The download link was removed before i could get the v3 version so im stuck with v2 and ive been using it as my daily (yeah it reboots every 5 minuets and i can leave wifi on or it will bootloop) But honestly thats the fun in testing this stuff out

Can anyone port the Nexus 5 ROM?
Updating this thread later today if nothing gets in the way.
Hi everybody!!
I need a tester please:
I built pure AOSP for the D802 from sources of Android right now, has anybody time to test it?
It is an experimental build and I didn't test it right now, so I don't know if it is working, please make a backup from your current rom.
The build comes with an built in CWM recovery and should be with root access. It can be flashed with the same instructions like the CM 12 build.
Edit: Bootloop right now ... Anybody, can you take a logcat?

Thank you in advance!! Please anybody who tries it: can you send me a pm?

Yes sure, but right now, I have to solve the bug, that the d802 wouldnt boot, so this may take some more time until I build it for other devices too.

Which ROM do u Want?

I have time and I like building ROMs, but I have a problem, there are a lot of roms and limited storage in my computer. So I can build at least 6 different roms.
I already have Resurrection Remix(CMbased), AOKP(wont boot, for now, when they used some CM stuff like KK may work), BlissPop(finish download of sources as I'm writing this), OMNI(the same as AOKP), DU(I'll download it tonight), SOKP(I don't know anything about this rom in LP, but in KK was very good) and PAC(to build UMTS).
These is what I have now(I know I say 6 different roms and I have 7 ), roms CMBased is easy and only use 2/3 GB on my Computer but for example DU and AOKP are AOSP based so this roms may work because all the parts of the rom are directly from Google and don't have any modifications like CM does to make it compatible with our device, some things I can do to make it work like AOKP KK, but LP is starting and every version 5.0, 5.0.2, 5.1.0 have a lot of changes between versions and Google does not give time for developers to make enough changes to achieve a stable version, so I don't have any base to use or pick changes.
Only told me what rom do you want and I see what can I do
Regards and sorry for the inconvenience.
I heard that BlissPop is good and I want to try it but I also like what you did with RR and Aokp...
I don't know, maybe the best thing would be to make one but awesome rom!
I'll be happy with your decision

I'll try anything based on AOSP. Since you are having problems with AOKP, I will try DU and Omni... Thanks, @tonyt.!
