There's still no root for .15. You'd be better off going to the Razr M forums and following the development going on there.

I'm telling you, there's no way to root right now, and you're better off following the device specific section of this forum. You'll get better info than you will get in this general section.

Do we have unlockable bootloader??

Motorola have been quoted saying that this device will have unlockable bootloader dependent on carrier agreement. I've read that this has been denied for the verizon version in the states, but in other parts of the world - the international version is currently on-sale (Australia - I'm looking at you!!)
So do we have it or not?? I asked the question in development thread, but there's not much traffic there and I didn't get a confirmation.
I can't believe no one has tried it yet. If it is actually possible - the instructions on this site should work:
http://www.addictivetips.com/mobile...a-xoom-bootloader-for-flashing-recovery-roms/
Even if you don't want to unlock the bootloader - if someone could try it. If it works it will give you warnings and the option to opt out before going all the way, if it doesn't work - you won't even get that far.
Argh! I can't post the link here because I don't have enough posts but it was confirmed by Motorola Australia that the RAZR will have an unlocked bootloader.
This was confirmed on their Facebook page (Motorola Australia)
if u cant post links..., add space, remove www or http etc.. use brain
That's the correct way to unlock it, so give it a try and please report back with country/provider, System version and Build number.
Thanks.

I still have hope, let's wait a few day, maybe they will communicate. You may ask on Motorola's Facebook or Twitter what they plan.
Edit: I could too, but I didn't understand exactly how you tried to unlock it, so I won't be able to explain clearly the problem.

Hey,
Does your phone have Turkish language option ?

[BVKT3] New firmware released, rooting impossible?

S5830BVKT3 2012 February 2.3.6
Additional info:
Product Code: GT-S5830OKAAMN
PDA: S5830BVKT3
CSC: S5830AMNKT1
Phone: S5830BVKT3
Hidswver: S5830BVKT3/S5830AMNKT1/S5830BVKT3/S5830BVKT3
Newest firmware update this year for Samsung Galaxy Ace GT-S830 hits over Orange Spain packed in Android 2.3.6 Gingerbread. The latest firmware build number is S5830BVKT3 with a build date of 2012, February 09. This is an upgrade from previous version S5830BVKQ9 2.3.4 which was lastly released in 2011 October.
I installed this just for fun (i'm no Orange user) and it's a good firmware. Also sports the Orange Launcher. Biggest issue, can't seem to be able to root. upd_1.zip file fails to flash, log says my phone doesn't go under any of the product names known. Also OneClick failed to root with every method known. this makes kernel installation a pain in the .
will try
----------
just tried. Root works with upd_1.zip

ICS 4.0.4 leaks round up

Summer is coming & cravings for ice cream is inevitable!
Here's the About phone screen shot of those leaked ics listed in chronological orders. We can see that webtop is out of beta.
See post 2 for some more details.
I've been playing with this for a while & it's quite stable. Hopefully the official one will be delivered in time.
A little warning thought: this 4.0.4 kernel is highly secure, currently the only way to gain root is via previous backup.
So, be sure to backup root before taking upgrade.
Update : Root Method 1: temporary downgrading to 403 kernel.
Update : Root Method 2 : New method to root [ROOT][ICS] Root RAZR ICS 4.0.4
Update : ICS leaks may keep you off from the official upgrade path. You'll be stucked on it until somebody leaked the "sbf" or the BL unlock.
Update : Once OTA release, patch the boot.img manually, fastboot the base system.img then apply ota. (For people who already lose root)
leaks details (ro.build.version.full, ro.build.date, kernel secure version, cid) :

Hey guys,
problems are the same as with tmo-leak: no downgrade, no root (if you didn't protect it with voodoo before)
This can't be flashed over the tmo-leak and you cannot switch between the leaks. once you install one of them, you are bound to the system.
The base rom for the patch should be this one: http://sbf.droid-developers.org/umt...USASPDRRTGB_HWp2b_Service1FF_fastboot.xml.zip

I just tried to update my XT910 to EU ICS but didn't success and got an error.
First, I reflashed Retail EU rom that Spryte posted above.
Second, I rooted it and kept su via RootKeeper.
Finally, I update EU ICS via Motorola recovery but I got an error and stopped.
Luckly, my phone went back to normal 2.3.6 Retail.EU.
Note: I used the mmcblk18 file from ChineseICS leak. I was trying to trick Motorola BL. I am not sure because of that mmcblk18 file.
Have anyone tried it yet?

Same here, the base ROM posted by Spryte is wrong.
the retail eu ota requires this pre-build system

The process as far as I know it's king root desktop version then use super-sume pro to replace Kingroot files with supersu then voila you are root .... I haven't tested thou that's the way others with your bootloader gain root DON'T UPDATE to of1 with OTA update that will be no way of coming back always use OS from xda because they don't update bootloader OTA and sammobile they do it... Locking up your s4 even more
