No u have to change your systemui

Try this.
If you are using stock systemui. ..
Edit build.prop
Change

To

No need to modify SystemUI. If you don't know correctly, please don't say anything. It can be changing by editing build.prop

lol man, hahah. "No need to modify SystemUI. If you don't know correctly, please don't say anything. It can be changing by editing build.prop" Why would you even post something like this? If you are so confident that this process can be done by editing the build.prop (not saying it can't be done though) just share your knowledge with us and instruct us how to do it! Useless post spamming a guys thread geez.
Now about what OP said, why do you want to do it by editing the build.prop? There's a fully functional S5 SystemUI that I can provide you if you want me to.

I think you are a stupid. If you look this link, you can see how to do it is and please if you don't know correctly, shut up okay? Only SHUT UP.

And you must know anyone has not to use your S5 mod or etc. You are advertising your mod now.

Again I never said you can't do it just that I didn't know how. So with that being said your comment now makes no sense at all. Also I'm not even advertising me theme, I never mentioned it. I could easily report you for your language but I'm not going to do that procedure for you. Have a nice day.

and it really annoyed me. You mocked me. Please be careful for your wording. I was really nervous and if I broke your heart, sorry.

You guys take it easy here.
Both of you.
S5 systemui works on note2 and editing build.prop also another way to get similar icons not exactly as s5 systemui. I already shared how from memory if my memory serves me well.
Don't use such language or say it is or it is not possible if you don't know how.
We all learn including my self.
Having said that. I would expect at least no further argument for those who want to help.
Hoping this thread will be cleaned by moderator.
Thank you,

Are there any other build.prop modifications that make changes to the ui? Thanks

Found some more...
If you are using stock system ui:
Edit build.prop
Change
ro.build.scafe.size=short
To:
ro.build.scafe.size=tall
And,
ro.product.model=GT-N7100
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=t03gxx
ro.product.device=t03g
To:
ro.product.model=SM-G900F
ro.product.brand=samsung
ro.product.name=SM-G900F
ro.product.device=jflte
Now Reboot...
You will get new Quick Toggles and in Recent Apps you can swype horizontally through apps and vertically to end them.

[ROM]Vibrant rom w/google calander

I got tired of waiting for someone to include a rom with the stock google calander built in and launcherpro too so i made it myself....i even got android commander to work with the vibrant which helped ALOT
screen shots arent the correct colors due to that function on android commander not made for the vibrant.....hope you like it
http://www.mediafire.com/?rf9kf3408mcble8
I don't see a screen shot and there have been a lot of people that have tried the stock calendar, but there is a white bar across the first week so a lot of decided not to use it.
I personally just use "Calendar Pad" from the market.
yeah the touchwiz is sooooooooooooo integrated into the phone it has its own extra files in the frame work, it took me an hour to dig and find that bad boy but i found it and edited to be clear..(wouldnt work if i deleted it). anyway my net connection is garbage so ill try to upload it somehow....but in the meantime here is the screen shot
Would you mind uploading/attaching just the file you edited to be clear to your original post?
When I searched, I thought it was editbox_background_focus_yellow.9 but changing that didn't work when I tried to modify it, so I'd love to take your file to drag-and-drop into my battery mod version of framework-res.apk
cheers,
=)

Rotary lockscreen

I have searched for almost 3 days now. I have done nothing but read and read and flash and flash and read some more. After many any boot loops and reflashing I have decided to post a thread. I think I have found what to edit in the framework-res.apk and I know for a fact I have to change stuff in the android.policy.jar. But I just have no clue what. Any way someone could actually post the correct instructions or if they know of a thread to point me to it. I don't want 3rd party app so please don't suggest that. I want to do it on my own. Thanks

2.00 in the market...WidgetLocker...download it and you will have a rotary lockscreen that is far more customizable. And from the clock in the screenshot shown in that link, it looks like widgetlocker (based on the clock size and position as well as the battery)
-Now that I read the last line in your post, I will also add that there was a mod done on the incredible by rmk...I think...I may be off on who did it, but there was a guide posted and identified the files that needed to be changed on that phone. You should try and find that and maybe it can help you ID the exact changes you need to make...I tried and failed miserably a few months back.

Are you talking about his thread? http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=775810
If so, the changes he says to make is for the Dinc Sense framework. Which already has the values in android.policy.jar.
not anybody?

dev help

after looking through many forums and some personal trial and error, i've decided to give this section a try.
i dont know crap about developing. i know how to flash through recovery, use basic adb commands, decompile apks, and open up the files in notepad++. thats about it. but i really want to start and i thought that some (relatively) simple changes to the system ui would give me a good starting point. but i'm trying to fumble my way through the systemui.apk from newts sense 5 rom to attempt a mod. but, like i said, i have to idea what im looking for. since sense 5 is so new, i cant find anything about it, and from looking, all the ui names and directories are slightly different.
my main goal is to gain a semi-transparent notification drawer background. if possible, i would like to attempt to get the app drawer background semi transparent also (but i'll cross that bridge later)
so if anyone can point me in the right direction, to a thread or the actual file in the apk, i would be most appreciative. i could even kick down a small donation for somebody that has the time. thanks
AFAIK it's framework.apk and thismay help

Theme / modification Question

Would anyone know if it is possible to make a modification like the one in this thread
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2720265
in a way other than the build prop. perhaps in the system ui? It seems reading the thread the build prop change may cause some behind the scenes problems and was curious if an edit could be made in the files themselves to change the statusbar icon set that is called while leaving the model designation alone?

The build prop edit is a rather short way to accomplish that which you desire. And yes, it busts much of that which may go unnoticed for a while.
You have a few options here, but the great harvest can be had over on the international Note 3 themes and apps section.
There you will find an Xposed module, and some ported apps that allow for most of that which you desire.
T-Mobile forums have a similar but varied clutch if options.
I use the Xposed modules, inasmuch as I can nuke the theme of so desired.
Here is the link for the Xposed modules,

I hope this helps.
Good luck!

some people reported issues with it breaking some apps I am guessing due to it changing your device model in the prop .. my thought was same as your trying to avoid any issues behind the scenes now or in the future.

It breaks apps in settings, and has many unforeseen consequences. It's cool to see the status bar changes, like the spinning spark symbol, but it to me wasn't worth other features may getting tanked.

I'm not a dude.
Anyway, one of the worst parts of theming is the hunt and search for things and many times what you're looking for is not where you think. Don't be discouraged if you don't get responses. Sometimes people really don't know the answers to your questions.
Just keep checking the many theming help threads.
Sorry just noticed I had a mention.
The first pic is a divider. I believe the name is like, header_divider and it is indeed a .9.png. But if you are blacking it out, it should not be a problem.
The second pic I don't believe is in framework-res anymore. In KK they switched those into each app. I am pretty sure. So you need to take a look in SecSettings. Not really sure of the names. What I usually do is look for the color, if they are close and the name somewhat matches up with the position than I change it.
Let me know if you need any help with .9.png, I am pretty good with them and they can be a little tricky at first to get them just right

Oh sorry was looking on my phone, now on PC.. So it looks like they are patched correctly, accept for this one:
Top border is a little distorted..
But the others.. They are all different pngs. So you have to take the time..find each one and then make them play nicely together.. You want it to flow right? Continuous white border right?

Hey hit me up on G+ @ [email protected].. I just want to get the overall gist of what you want to do
Try this:View attachment framework-res.zip
That should be everything..
Also look here:
The spaces between here is a result of the divider.. If you know the name of it off the top of your head.. Pass it this way and I will add in a white border..
You can change the images however you want.. But those are the only ones that need to be modified..
