If you can't find an answer, post it here, being sure to give as much information as possible (firmware version, steps to reproduce, logcat if available) so that you can get help.
Thanks for understanding and for helping to keep XDA neat and tidy!

Native Hotspot
Any chance Sac custom rom will have native hotspot?

this is really just a general question regarding all ROMs for our phone, but...Will these custom roms try to address the issues that some of us (if not all) are having with the auxiliary output on this phone? Or will something like that have to come straight from LG?

It would be interesting to be able to incorporate the ultra power saving mode from the S5 into LG, while the battery saver is decent, actually squeezing out more life is good too.

Iftt app. Set it up to turn off everything when you want. I think that's all the power saving feature ever did really.

Can I manually add v4a to zip in priv app before install?

Is there a way to change max MMS size?

So any chance a custom ROM can fix the horrible auto brightness on this phone? I love the phone with the exception of the screen brightness and the occasional unresponsive touch screen.

Can some one post some screen shots for this ROM.
Thanks.

User error comfirmed.
I had the exact same issue with initial KB FC after flashing v2, and after clearing everything including system and dalvik it worked like a charm. Not a single FC since. Thanks for the great work! Keep it up!
This really should be in the forum itself to advise others of my findings, but unfortunately:

[Q] HyDrOG3N-ICS 23.03 --- ICS 4.0.3 --- Lockscreen wallpaper?

Hello XDA!
This is my first post here. Before flaming me, yes I did do a search and only found one thread with this question asked but no resolution. Yes, I did start reading the development thread for this ROM, I got about 20 pages in before I realised it was over 200 pages long!
I can't make a reply to the development post to ask this question!??!
HyDrOG3N-ICS 23.03
This is an absolutely fantastic ROM! It's so fast and smooth!
For anyone interested in this ROM, it is recommended! The only problems I can find are:
- No video recording (but this is to be expected and doesn't bother me)
- Cannot change lockscreen wallpaper - The gallery app force closes when you select the wallpaper you want - just as it is going to bring up the cropping screen - yet I can change the homescreen wallpaper and it uses the gallery cropping
Does anyone know of a fix for the lockscreen wallpaper settings?
Apart from that, I cannot find any fault worth mentioning
- All google apps sync correctly (unlike samsung XXLPQ where newly created google contacts on the phone cause the sync to be broken - it is working on Hydrogen!)
- Wifi hotspot, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi are all working correctly - wifi signal strength shows quite high for me (15m and 2 brick walls between me and the AP!)
- MTP connection to Win7 64bit working fine - shows both internal and external sd card storage and copying files perfectly
So far I have found this ROM to be nice and stable. Glad I found it!
Thanks Paradoxxx!

Under development options, are you talking about the option titled "Force GPU Rendering"? That is currently unticked. Having it on or off doesn't stop the gallery fc
Have you tried wiping cache and fix permissions in recovery?

Sounds rather complicated for such a simple functionality...
My phone is rooted but I am not running any custom ROM so far.
Not sure if this is worth the trouble.
Did I understand correctly from that web page that it would not work with the original ROM even if the phone is rooted?

Xposed can add call recording. I have it enabled on my phone that way. Not sure if it will do it automatically like you are looking for though.

Okay, so first off, I'd like to thank the people who made this thread possible, even though only one of them knows me aha!
1.) @cmahendra (For his TOP NOTCH guide on flashing KDZ files, which I have used a LOT)
2.) @artas182x (For his tweak pack on his website and his locked bootloader recovery installer)

Okay, so FIRST OFF, I'd like to avoid any flak I may take for this guide lol. Also, I'm not gay or anything. I just prefer not to sound boring and unclear, unlike a lot of people aha. Before you start saying, "CyanogenMod iz da [email protected][email protected]!" and "Yew suk newb unlok yew bootlodah!," I'd like to point out that SURPRISINGLY ENOUGH there are a lot of people here who haven't been able to unlock their bootloader, thanks widely to T-Mobile USA. -.- So there are many people who have root and recovery, but are unable to install ROMs and feel unsafe flashing European phone versions, only to mess up and screw over their phone's digitizer with no knowledge of how to fix it! (lol) Anyways, if that's you.. THIS THREAD IS FOR YOU!

This is going to take some time, and it won't be a perfect thread as it's one of my first. However, I hope I can suit it up into nice sections for you!

Alright, so to all you experienced users, disregard this section aha! Basically I'm teaching you how to root and gain CWM access in a broad 3 step process. Enjoy!
Click to collapse
STEP 1.) Root your phone. If you're on JB, use THIS METHOD. You don't need to do the spritebud check, just run the application provided and it should root you. After you do this, install the Superuser app from the Play Store that was developed by CLOCKWORKMOD, and start it and select "install" on the popup dialog. If it failed to install the binaries, run the LGPwn application again and do it a couple more times until it works, if it doesn't, ask for help on his thread.

STEP 2.) Install busybox and CWM. Go to the Play Store and download the BusyBox app made by Stericson, and install busybox. Then go into Artas' L9 Recovery Installer, and install that. You can find the recovery HERE.

STEP 3.) When you power on your phone, the LEDs should flash repeatedly for about 3-5 seconds, in order to enter CWM Recovery, press the VOL DOWN button and it should load up the menu. DON'T TOUCH ANYTHING YOU AREN'T SURE ABOUT.

Before you freak out, yes there is customization with rooted phones that doesn't require an unlocked bootloader! The best of which is done using the Xposed Framework, a guide that I made HERE. Alright, so you've either continued to read here because... 1.) You're a rebel who didn't click the LINK DARN YOU, 2.) You've themed your phone with Xposed (AWESOME), or 3.) You didn't want to because you're a BORING LAZY POOPFACE. With that being said, ever seen those stupid QSlide apps that you MAY or MAY NOT use? You can't remove them on stock. They take up space and make it look all.. blegh. BUT! There's this really awesome guy named @mateo1111 who created a mod to remove those pesky space-wasters from your precious notifications! AND, if that wasn't enough, he created a mod to make your notification bar PITCH BLACK. It looks absolutely, undeniably, SICK. Here's the links to each of his posts.

Now, there are also modified applications available, in various colors and formats. I personally am a huge fan of transparency, as I use a setup with a (usually) galactic wallpaper, and set that as my keyboard background using "Kii," and have my epic background in all the apps I use But how would I do that? Well, "Team Blackout" has made it easier than ever! I'll leave links to their stuff below I highly recommend their things, and they actually complete orders and requests. It's amazing, and I can't turn back to the bright white and ugly color schemes that Google uses in their applications. Check these out guys

There's a TON of apps in the Play Store (More than iOS now W00T!), but the best are often hidden among the popular Chinese ones filled with advertisements. (Go Dev, I'm looking at you.) So without further ado, here are the applications that I absolutely recommend without a doubt to ANYONE with this phone, or any phone, for that matter.
Textra - This is a given. It's a texting replacement app, and its ingenious Group Chat feature is unrivaled and is cross-platform. It even has an amazing feature to turn on data only when sending/receiving MMS. Amazing. Also, it looks a lot like the "Kik" app if you know what that is. I personally am not a fan of that iOS/Android-blend kinda UI, but it's doable I guess. I recommend using Hangouts for SMS now.
Next Browser - Wow, Go Dev Team actually made a decent piece of software for once! Don't get me wrong, I'm no developer, and couldn't do any better, but their applications are bloated into eternity. Sadly, I've watched this browser get more bloated slowly and slowly, but at least they haven't advertised their other apps in it yet. ANYWAYS, this browser is really fast and smooth, but doesn't sync across devices like Opera/Chrome/Firefox, so sorry to multi-device fanatics.
A replacement launcher - Smart Launcher, Apex, Nova, Holo, Action, anything but the stock LG Home. Please. It's too slow and wastes RAM, and is kinda blegh in my opinion. But to each their own.
Duolingo - Learn a language. Seriously. Do it. It's fun on here. The tools are amazing and it's simply... simple. Spanish/Italian/Portuguese/German/French, and more being added in time. You can also learn English, but I don't see how you'd be reading this..
Bible - Everyone is entitled to their own beliefs, and do not take this as an offense, however, if you are a Christian, this is the most useful spiritual tool you can get on Android "Got Questions" is another good one.
Kii Keyboard - Simply the best. If you know how to use the "Freedom" app, you can crack the in-app purchase to get the full version, not that I recommend it. I've used this since the beta in January (I think it was January) and it's simply gotten better and better. Swype couldn't lure me back.
Music - Omich Player is the best music player on Android, if you want to listen to music. There's apps with 50 different equalizers and a ton of crap I don't want, when I just want my music. This one does just that, using the older Play Music style. It also sports an option for a transparent background.
WifiKill - It kills Wifi. Kicks people off of the network using a simple, yet effective, ARP spoofing method. It literally takes a touch of a button. Great fun when in school or university, and you feel like messing with the teacher or

Side note: If your SD Card is less than a Class 10, apps installed there won't run as fast as they would on the system. Seems stable. Things work well. Even when themes are applied, UI retains key "Daydream" style elements, at least on themes that I tried.
Video is not crashing under severe abuse for me and I DO tend to abuse it. Is there a way to put driving mode on this ROM in language and input settings or am I missing it? I've yet to try things like speaker calls do can't comment on that yet.
(Edit: added an SMS reader from the play store that is comparable to what I'm used to and it plays well with this ROM)

I have isues when applying themes. I have tried 3 themes and 2 of them crash the phone after setting it if I go into settings
DayDream is running really slow...
I don't know if it's just me, but DayDream is running really slow for me on my i717 (ATT). Camera does not open properly most of the time and when I press Power to wake up my phone, the keys light up, but the display does not light up. It takes four or five tries before the display appears. Same goes with when I receive phone calls. Everything works except the screen. Thoughts?
What governor at you using? Try Wheatley if it is available. Had good luck with this on other kk Roms.

I would love to try this ROM, but have yet to find a kk ROM that BT works properly, video recording works, and speaker phone does not have echo. Can anybody confirm these items work as they should?

DayDream - A ROM that works!!!
I commented previous about how DayDream was not functioning properly. I formatted system along with wiping everything else and it works great now!
I've been flashing for a long while now and I have to say-- this is the only ROM that actually functions well on my i717 (ATT). Padawan was just too slow...to the point of being unusable. I've tried various others and this one is hands-down the best I've used. Good on y'all!

Hello, tell me, what works, what does not work? and if you can lay out a screenshot!
thank you!
As of now there are no major bugs or issues. ROM is pretty stable. A minor video playback issue maybe encountered which can be fixed by using vlc media player or any other media player. Hope this helped.
Cheers!!
BTW will upload screen shots.

This really is a solid ROM! And most lag free builds of Lollipop I have tried yet, and I've tried pretty much all of em, twice. I'm definitely looking forward to an update. @sai24 please don't abandon us

Recents?
Does the Rom have a recents page? Where you can clear the open tasks? The multitasking page

Hmm.
That's weird, it doesn't work for me. I'm using the US version though, i777, but everything else works, even the home button itself.
ROM is SOKP
Gapps is Pico
Kernel is rogersb11's Shift kernel for lollipop
Thanks for the help

All is good with this rom, but like the others roms, Chrome is not working... i got a message something like this: "chrome is not working, something essential is missing, the instalation is not completed or is not compatible with this android version"
any advices please? i use pa_gapps-modular-full-5.1-20150315-signed as gapps package.

today i tried to install Xposed 5.1 on my i9100 with SOKP 5.1.
the phone is hanging on boot image (dragon), animation stopped and nothing happened.
is there a conflict between the rom and xposed?
@sai24 this is the best 5.0/5.1 rom, and i tried almost all of them, keep up the good work Sir.
