will this proceedure work for all brands of Optimus phone, or just the P500?
I have an LG Optimus V (CDMA on Sprint network), will this brick my phone because it's for GSM?

So my friend gave me his phone in hope that i could fix it. The phone didn't read SIM card and no calls could be made with it (he used it as MP3). So i tryd to root the phone (z4root and gingerbreak failed) with LGMDP and got the recovery were i flashed SlimGen ROM. Phone still had same problem. I also flashed franco.Kernel4. Now i have no IMEI and "About phone" shows that Baseband is unknown. The LGMDP still shows some IMEI. Oh and when i boot up the phone it shows flight mode icon at top but wifi works...
You don't have the new baseband. You'll have to flash it first

Try getting back to Stock Firmware
Try to get to the stock firmware using KDZ. Search for it and you'll find the relevant info. If you have tried changing baseband using LGMDP when it had an IMEI, it must have taken a backup. See whether you can restore it.

.35 likely refers to the newer kernels, not new baseband. Old BB is v10-something and new bb is v20-something.
The others know more about the rest, so I'll be quiet.

I tried that but my phone is already cant carry out any function anymore,pc companion cant detect my phone at all.anyway,thx.
Then search in neo general section for flashtool and ftf files. You'll need to flash ftf using flash tool.

Sorry for troubling anyone, its very late here, so I'm very sorry if the answer is somewhere in the forum but I haven't got much time here!
I tried installing Acecream rom but I couldn't patch it, and I tried rebooting the phone to restart and update it but it got stuck at boot, and when I try going into download mode it wont let me.
I've also tried going into recovery mode but with no luck and also tried pressing both volume buttons and with still no luck!
If anyone can help me it would be much appreciated! thanks!
EDIT: Got Into Download mode now trying to do it but its taking forever to install drivers for some reason :s. I'm following a softunbricking video, while doing this, got all the files, but its not installing..
