Hello,
Pretty stupid question here, how do i install cwm on my sola? I am on .154 (Unlocked BL). Any help would be greatly appreciated.
You can either flash a kernel via fastboot which includes CWM or you can install CWM for Locked Bootloader by Atis And yes, locked bootloader version works on unlocked too
Go to Sola's Dev Section and select whichever one you want
could you give me the link to atis's version please?
Here you go : CWM for Locked BL
Enjoy
it gets stuck at waiting for device even though it is connected. one more thing, how do i flash boot.img? i wanna flash fxp's cm9
ok i installed cwm. how do install cm9 by fxp now?
Just follow the instructions given on the thread if you are wondering abt the boot.img, Go to Flashtool and select Fastboot mode to flash the img
ok if i try to boot intto fastboot... drivers need to be installed for connected device. i installed the drivers from the drivers folder in flashtool. but it wont go to fastboot mode
You're pressing Vol. up key right ? Its Vol. up for Fastboot and Vol. Down for Flashmode
yes i am pressing volum up and plug in usb
Wierd You selected Fastboot driver also when installing Drivers right ? And the Device Driver for your phone ? ;p
ok im done booting....did it by trial and error. thanks for your assistance.
Hi, everyone. I've successfully rooted, bootloader unlocked and flashed a custom ROM in/on my Xperia P. Currently enjoying Honami MW HD V6 (really amazing). The current Kernel version is 3.0.8+ BuildUser @ buildhost) )#1 SMP PREEMPT. Needless to say - but saying it anyway - , it's a LT22i 4.1.2 JB device. I flashed the custom ROM based on the info from this forum and some tutorials on youtube. And my problem now is that, while trying to experiment the latest MW HD v8, I get stuck on a weird message. The OP (at Enigma ROM thread) says that I must flash the custom Kernel Nemesis V6.3 first. HE says I must have already a JB stock ROM (I think I have). Then he gives me the instructions to do that.
"Unlock your bootloader using instructions here [link]
Download the fastboot package below and extract it somewhere e.g. your Desktop
Copy nemesis.elf to the same folder
Open cmd and enter fastboot directory
Write "fastboot flash boot nemesis.elf" and press enter
It will show you "Waiting for device"
Power off your phone and press the volume up button while you connect the usb
It should be flashed okay
Reboot and Wipe Cache and Dalvik Cache"
I try to follow it, but when I get to the 'Write "fastboot flash boot nemesis.elf" and press enter
It will show you "Waiting for device" ', I connect the device and it says to me the my device must be rooted.
Again, my device is rooted, unlocked botloader etc. I try a different method, via Flashtools, and I get the same message.
What do I have to do to finally be able to flash this custom Kernel and then flash the Enigma custom ROM?
Thank you very much for your time.

Thank you, I'll try it, but I was wondering if I can flash Nemesis kernel via CWM. Is it possible?

Hi there,
i am newbie at xda-developers and posting this thread to get you android engineere help to unbrick my cdma android phone.
last yesterday, i've tried to to install custom rom in my phone by using adb sdk.
my hardware is QRD
brand model is MTS MTAG353 Coolpad 5210
Android version 2.3.5
Iast week i planed to change its rom and download a cwm7.1 Custom rom compatible with android 2.3.5.
i'd took backup of my original rom before flashing files of cwm custom rom. and start flashing files of cwm.
i'd first flash recovery by adb command "flastboot flash recovery recovery.img" and then flash "fastboot flash boot boot.img"
And after that use command "fastboot reboot" (mistake i did).
then my phone reboot, mts logo image appear and then black screen. My phone connected with pc but no usb port show that my android device is connected.
now i am confuse what to do. As adb don't show my device connected with pc. I've backup of my last used boot and recovery file. But i don't know, how to re-flash them.
so guys, if there is any solution reply me as-soon-as possible.
Hi, i've had my Z2 two years now and I've rooted, UB and installed roms on it many times but for some reason I can't get into recovery anymore. I flashed a different ROM a few months ago to try get it back to stock but since then, no recovery!
I've flashed the TWRP 1 click installer (only seems to work on laptop, on PC I get waiting for device but it says it worked on laptop) but still I can't get into a recovery to flash a custom rom.
Any ideas? How do I get recovery back? Please be a bit simple with me, i've googled it and just get overwhelmed by the info so figure I should ask and find out what actually applies to me..
Thanks.
David
If you have flashed a stock rom, you probably have locked your bootloader, try this (hope you have done a TA backup the first time you unlocked the BL...):
Download the Androplus kernel in development section, unzip it.
Then, download and use flashtool (install the drivers if need them) to unlock your BL again (BLU button).
Once you have unlocked it, disconnect the phone from the computer BUT DON'T BOOT IT.
Close and reopen flashtool, and select fastboot mode from flashtool and use the kernel flash option.
Select the boot.img you have unzipped from androplus (change the file extension to .img), and your are done.
Disconnect, reboot and you will be able to access the TWRP recovery from the kernel when you see the led, then flash a stock based custom ROM (with recovery), or CM one, try to have one of them downloaded and placed into your ext-sdcard.
PLEASE! My English is not good enough to explain this in a better way, if you don't are familiar with flashtool, fastboot mode or you don't understand any of the steps, wait for a better explanation or read a lot about it BEFORE doing nothing.
PS. Your internal data probably will be lost, make a copy of all your photos, docs, etc. You can relock your BL if you choose a stock based custom rom like eXistenZ, just restoring your TA backup after flashing it.
have u try flash via adb fastboot? it's easier when u have UB, try erase it first, "fastboot erase recovery" then flash the img (the latest twrp img is available on their site) "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img"

Ok calm down, take a deep breath ..as unlocked you boot loader I will take it you have a computer with the divers installed.. Sony USB and adb and fastboot drivers...
If so just use Xperia firm and download the latest firmware for your device and region.. put it on a folder and unzip it remove the ta. files and the persist.sin file do not take anything out of the folders ... Now get Newflasher (version 13 the one I prefer) you can find it here . . ( https://forum.xda-developers.com/cr...-newflasher-xperia-command-line-t3619426/amp/ ) take a minute to read over the op...
Once you flash you new firmware, just flash twrp ..
fastboot devices
fastboot flash recovery ( name of twrp your using).img , the easy way, rename your twrp image to twrp and put it in your adb/fastboot folder.. then in that folder bring up the command prompt and put your fastboot mode and flash twrp..
(fastboot flash recovery twrp.img )
Reboot your device .. then flash magisk and magisk manager and call it a day...

When you download using Xperia firm alone it doesn't make an an ftf type file but a bunch of little files, thus the reason I said read up on how to use newflasher...
no you are misunderstanding, I mean the ftf file exists but is not detected in flashtool, when i using flashtool 9.18 file ftf is can be detect but when i flash it error says "this bundle is not valid"
