These skins look fantastic and D-Brand has a great track record for this sort of thing.
Go ahead and mess around with the different configurations then post a screenshot.
And post real pictures once you receive your Nexus 6 and brand it! (assuming you plan on using a skin)
I just don't like the selection. They need to create more ...
I want matte dark red
Slickwraps have more options
I like the black carbon, red accents I'm excited for this! Now if they could hurry up with the Nexus 9 skins.
I'm curious how they account for the dimple if you don't get the cutout.

Same here,
I want the back with no cutouts but i dont know how the material will look where the nexus logo is, or the M logo.
If you order it with the cutout you can buy the accent(for the cutout and camera lens) but that way you are gonna have some edge around the cutout.
I want to have the black leather to match my moto 360, but i dont want the sticker unstick where the M logo is.
If the glue is strong it should be okay.
Those samples with the accents look pretty sharp. I'm probably going to use a case for a little while, so I'm going to hold off on the skins for now.

I am thinking the same. As a person who can't stand huge and obnoxious branding, I will get the one which has no cut outs. But, like h0bnail said, the dimple makes me want to see it IRL first.

I've never had a skin from them peel. I removed one of their skins to put a different color skin on and it was a lot of work to remove and it left 0 residue so you should be fine.
As far as the dimple you can get a separate piece to go in it for $2. I may get a white N6, get the black CF Dbrand skin with a cutout, and in the cut out have a red accent in the Motorola dot.

That's exactly what in doing with the blue Nexus (except I'm putting s matte black accent on the camera and red carbon on the moto logo). I ordered mine a few days ago, their skins are awesome.
How does the matte finish skin feel?
Does their titanium skin feel metallic?
Wasted a good 30min going through different configs lol.
I'm going with a two-tone blue back with white accent for the M logo and camera. Matte white for the front.
Thanks OP.
Man I have never even heard of them!!! I will most likely be buying myself a set in the coming weeks. Im thinking black steel on the back with white accents.. and an orange front. xD
EDIT: Scratch the front skin.. the nexus 6 looks to be almost completely glass on the front unlike a samsung phone... so it would prob get in the way of a screen protector lol

I don't know what you mean by "metallic feel". I can tell you it looks and feels stylish. Obviously, it's vinyl, not metal, so it's not cold or anything, but it's really cool. It's a bit on the slippery side, but not as much as real metal.
Here it is applied on my white Nexus 5:

By metallic I meant does it feel cold and kind of slippery. I figured since they advertised it as such, it would maybe have a thing layer of aluminium or something. After Googling, I found some nice pictures. That's good to know though.
Thanks!
I just ordered a Black Titanium skin, will be sure to post pictures/video once i get it.
Ordered a black titanium and mahogany, all my previous phones had carbon fiber look, looking for a fresh new look, also looking to buy a bamboo vinyl to cut it myself, they have one but i dont like it because the texture look is crowded. I'm trying to find one to match a closer look to moto x bamboo.
Dbrand posted a picture on their facebook page of an unreleased skin. I really want it since it looks really nice and grippy. I've emailed them about it but haven't gotten a response yet. Hopefully they'll start selling it soon.

I'm new here and registered to show how good this thing looks (in my opinion) with a carbon skin. I did the same for my iPad before I sold it. I uploaded the pictures to my User account photo album so I assume I just link them now.

I purchased it from Skinomi. I like how the skin gave the white "bumpers" a darker look.

That does look nice.
HTC Flyer / Tapatalk
Nice! Had a similar one from PhantomSkinz when I had my Captivate. Love the carbon look.
I have the same skin. I'm afraid the corners may start to peel back... Not faulting Skinomi, since it would be a problem with any cut to fit skin.
Just trying to think of ways to prevent it. Maybe a bead of nail-polish or super glue on the edges to smooth and reduce from catching... also prevent particles from getting under the edges.
I used a heat shrink gun for the edges and it pretty much gave it a very clean, secure adhesion to the tablet. I would think a hair blow dryer would do the same.
Did the same with a heat gun while wrapped in packing stretch wrap... But still feel as though it may get caught... Oh well, they sent me two by mistake or it may be there policy.

Yes, you really have to use a heat gun or blow dryer for best results ...I used a blow dryer.
I really want to get this skin combo but I wish they would cut out a section around the htc lettering like they do for the ipad skins.
I might just get it and do the cutting myself but I would prefer not to.
OP, thanks for bringing this to my attention.
Yes. I would have liked to see the HTC logo cut-out also. Overall its a nice cut.
Just installed yesterday. The pics are a bit lousy because the lighting here at work is crap and I can't just leave right now. I thought it would be nice to see the htc logo but after installing it I think it looks good as is.
It has a great textured feel to it and it adds a bit of grip to the view. I didn't install the sides because they just didn't line up right; I had to cut the skin for the top bumper because it would have prevented me from removing the cover if I need to get to my micro sdcard.
The screen protector that came with it is nice and doesn't have that rubbery feel that zagg's have. It doesn't affect the display at all unless you install it and leave many microbubbles and streaks behind.
Overall I give it 3.5 out of 5. The reason I rated it like this is because the original design prevents access to the micro sdcard without having to destroy the skin. Another reason is that the cutouts don't line up that great on the view. The edges that stick to the curves of the view seem to have been cut short and leave a bit of a gap between the skin edge and the edge it is supposed to wrap around.
Other than that, it's still not a bad price (29.95 I think I paid) for a full body-skin and screen protector. A heat gun or blow-dryer is a must use item when installing this skin. It makes the skin soft enough to be able to stretch it just bit if you need it to which is what I did in some areas to get the edges to line up correctly.
Nice skin but I agree it's a pain to cut the skin to be able to remove the sd card cover. And the corners we difficult to stay in place without putting a lot of heat to it. 3 stars for me.

I agree about the cutting of the cover portion. A razor did it fairly easily. The back portion of the skin is great. The rest is just meh. I must say though, that this company does stand behind their product. I wrote them after my install about the cover portion that came off when I tried to change out my micro sd card. He shipped me a whole new skin, screen protector and all. It was in my mailbox two days later. This is very rare these days. For that I give it four stars. I had a problem with a full body suit from body guards and still have not received my exchang from them, and that was weeks ago. The screen protector on this setup is one of the clearest I've used but it is a little grippy and feels unresponsive at times. Although, the finger prints are way less than when I had nothing at all.
I just wanted to let everyone know that the Skinomi carbon fiber skin and the Armor Suit carbon skin are the exact same thing. I just received my Armor suit today and was surprised when it was the exact thing. So if you're shopping for one you can get the cheaper of the two. Service wise the shipping was about the same, but Skinomi was on the ball with a replacement that same day. My Armor skin was originally for my Sammy 10.1 and I exchanged it for the flyer which took a month and me calling a few times to get it. I will say that they were very nice people and very understanding.
Here is mine
Just got two of these after seeing that the guy that makes (designs them) them actually is on XDA a lot and was very helpful while NOT hocking his product everywhere.
*UPDATED*
Originally the case covered part of the upper mic. I just removed the upper portion of the case and realigned it so the mic was centered when I re-attached that case. To easy. That was really the only draw back I had.
Pro's
1- Delivery was fast
2- Case was cheap (9$)
3- Shipping was (5$ for both)
4- Case is VERY low profile
5- Mat Black is oh so smooth and the front rim is a nice glossy black with more grip to it. This is nice as it makes it easy to hang on to.
6- Back design icon is cool looking
7- Kick stand still easy to access
8- Nice port access
9- Doesn't pull my Zagg Invishield HD screen cover off
10- Easy to get on and off
11- Doesn't scratch my phones finish
12- VERY light weight
13- Mat black with red highlights of the phone looks very sexy and pro
14- phone still fits in my pocket easily and doesn't collect dust etc.
15- Snug fit on the phone
16- Bezel is high enough on the front that my phone screen doesn't touch anything when laid on its face.
17- Camera is protected by slight bezel around it.
18- No "case buttons"...you still access the phones buttons which are nice
Con's
1- Power button is a little hard to depress initially but this is because the button is so high on the phones profile. Case flexes to alleviate this after a few uses though. I don't think this is the cases fault
2- Not many styles - My wife liked the Green Cruizer Lite better but not that much better. The android pattern on those cases looked cool but I don't know...after a while I do like the professional and sleek design of the Diztronic better. Plus the Cruizer Lite *looked* a little more bulky
mind attaching a pic?
shipping is only 2.50 on his ebay page.
good review
wish it came with a screen protector (thought it did bc it did with other phones, but it didnt).
note: you can readjust the case starting from the top of the phone to align the mic you said was covered. i noticed it blocked mine after reading your review so i took it off and readjusted the case and it doesnt cover it anymore
Mine doesn't block the upper microphone at all?
Neither does mine. Every port lines up perfect, just like on my RAZR Maxx and EpTouch cases.

*Updated Review*
Got mine in today and it fits nicely and looks good, I just have one main complaint about it....should of covered the buttons...after holding it in hand those holes in the case on the sides get annoying to me, and the thin strip where the volume rocker is, is so flimsy im almost scared it might stretch too much over time, or break...havent had a TPU case with buttons covered that the function was more difficult than the phone without the case on, so dont really see the reasoning why to leave them open now...
to each their own though i guess...
I received my cases as well today. Originally I liked the high gloss translucent one best because it just looks really sharp. After just a couple of hours though, it was covered in smudges and fingerprints(like anything glossy).
The fit on both of the cases I received are spot on. Snug fit, all my buttons/openings line up perfectly, and doesn't add much bulk. Simply great cases for the cost.
I will be sticking with the matte black one for the foreseeable future based on just the smudge factor.
Got to tell you - after listening to so many recommendations from the group here I decided to get the case and boy, I am so glad I did.
The case is snug with minimal footprint, all cut outs match perfectly (prefer this from covered) and the flat black matte just compliments the Evo. The kickstand is also easily accessible and it got here ahead of schedule..
Two thumbs up!

Yeah case looks good overall, though I wish they had a version that covered the buttons and port so that the phone would be more water resistant (read: not waterproof, but at least ports/button holes would be protected from drippy hands at the least). Also, as people mentioned, it would be easier to precisely hit the various buttons if they weren't beneath the lip of the case.

I'd suggest searching for J Butterfly cases, since the DNA specifically doesn't have that much stuff out for it. A search on rakuten for "htc j butterfly case" brings up two that are a bit expensive (about $45 base) but stylish.
Hope that helps!

Its a decently nice case for the price. Fits very well. Not slopply put together. It looks like it would be sued but doesn't have the same feel. I say its well worth the $15. I do wish they would make nicer more expensive cases but its not an iPhone so I'm not getting my hopes up.

Observations thus far from owner
I just got the grey one in the mail yesterday and truly, I'm rather undwhelmed. Here are some observations from the past 12+ hours.
1. Case does NOT feel like leather at all as posted previously. Kinda cheap honestly.
2. The cover does not secure itself at all. It kinda just flaps in the wind and slides all over the place. The cover itself seems to be a bit big for the phone itself. Holding the cover tightly to the phone screen leaves 1/8 inch or so hanging off the side. If I set the phone down with the screen up and nothing on top of it, the cover just flaps open. This could be potentially be self-adjusting with use and having the case "break-in" but I have seen other flip covers that did not require this break-in period.
3. The case makes the buttons (power, volume +/-) more difficult to press. The case has proper cut-outs but the cut-outs could have been a bit larger to allow for easier access to the buttons. I really have to get my fingertip into the cut-out to operate the buttons.
I understand that the overall cost of the case was pretty low and people will state that "you get what you pay for" but I had previously purchased the Nillikin slim case in brown and I think I will be going back to that one. The slim case was a measly 8 bucks or so and doesn't have the flip cover, but the overall construction, feel and function of that one seems far superior.
/end $0.02
How about some pictures?
everybody should Email Poetic and beg for a slim line leather flip case.
So....
I took it upon myself to make a quick visual mod to the phone, then used a dBrand matte white skin to recolor the back of the phone. Turned out pretty well I think. First "visual" mod to the external portion of a phone that I've tried.
(decided to add some contrast to the case while I was at it)
I have that same case. Looks good man.
Thanks! Im really pleased with how it turned out.
Looks nice. I also really wanted it in white. Wish they hard the Verizon red color also. How white is the skin? The protector seems to be tinted? Or is it just the picture?
If Verizon was smarter they would have come out with the bright red version.
Did you color ur letters? This looks really good!!
I used Sharpie oil based paint markers to paint the letters and some acetone to clean them up. It wasn't really SUPER neccesary to clean up excess due to the skin. I painted the NE and US in black to show better on the white skin. Then obv. the standard Nexus colors on the X.
Also, the skin is BRIGHT white. It looks a bit tinted or yellow due to the crappy lighting in my kitchen. It looks pure snow white.

Got them from there. They work for the purpose, but be careful. If you keep pushing down to get ink out after it's already in the tip it will spill everywhere. So once you get the ink flowing just write with it to get more ink, dont push down again.
For a "limited time" you can get the colored X included with your skin for free

dBrand - Nexus 6
I'm not wild on the white skin. These things always have minor imperfections and that sort of thing always annoys me.
However, I love the coloured X in NEXUS. I think I'll give that a go myself although I'm not sure about the acetone - that stuff is dodgy.
By the time dbrand advertised them my phone was done. Plus I think the paint looks way better. The fact that the paint/letters are BELOW the skin adds kind of a shadow and more contrast
This looks beyond gorgeous. Nice work!

Wanted to throw an addendum to this post. Especially if you have the Spigen Ultra Hybrid clear case. I found that the case sticks to the matte white finish of the skin, causing what appear to be dirty spots on the skin. The skin is completely perfect when you take the case off, but while its on it looks terrible.
I ordered a white carbon fiber skin and swapped it out. It looks 1000% better and doesn't have the sticking issue that the matte one did with the case. So, word to the wise, if you're considering doing this, order the carbon fiber white, or anything besides just the straight matte white one.

Can you snap a picture of your phone now with the carbon white? Would love to see it.
Yeah, at work now, but I should be home in a couple hours and i'll snag one with the case off, and one with the case on.
Lots of pics below
Not only does the carbon look better, but it doesn't stick to the case and also hides "blemishes" better than just the straight white.
I has gotten the white then decided I didn't like it so I got a back from eBay that is a black rubberized matte finish without the Nexus logo. I love it! Mine is the actual back replaced not a skin. Since there is no Nexus logo I think it's from the Moto X Pro, still has the Moto logo on it.
Just wanted to father some feedback from those who have the devise. What color did you get? Do you like it? Do you wish you went with a different color?
Im also curious about fingerprints and discoloration.
Thanks all! I'm ordering tomorrow morning and just having a tough time making a decision.

Grabbed the frost white model and I couldn't be happier. The white is classy, clean, and the metallic rim/finishes look amazing. I've seen other colors in person and this looked the most impressive.

I ordered graphite and I love every second of it. The phone is slippery and you do notice some fingerprints, but I ended up just getting a case for it.
It all comes down to personal preference really. They all feel the same, just the color is different. I used to have a Dinc2 which was white, but I wasn't a fan. My N5 was black and I loved it so I got the same for this phone.

I saw one review where I guy said that there was some discoloration on the white one after a while. Have you noticed any of that?

No, but to be honest it was only out of a case for the first 4 days.. I'm probably not the best to comment on discoloration. Sorry!

Graphite is fingerprint magnet. Aluminum is classy but boring. White feels cheap, especially when looking at the wrapping around the sides. If you go naked or plan to install skings get aluminum, if you will use a transparent case then get the white.

I agree with all that except when using a skin. I think graphite looks best with skins, especially darker ones. The edges and fingerprint scanner blend in easier with graphite. I think graphite is boss, it was the one I kept after seeing all 3 in person.

You are right. I left out the graphite because as I said, it gets lots of fingerprints and scratches are more visible but yes if you plan to put case and stuff graphite is great too. All colors are great lol, cannot go wrong with either.
I wanted graphite and was disappointed that I couldn't buy it when I had the money. But, went ahead and ordered the aluminum one and couldn't be happier. I just put a black/slate speck candyshell and it looks great

I have graphite.
I like it. If I did it again, I'd buy the aluminum.
Get the Aluminum color it is HOT!!!!!
I'd buy graphite all over again. Fingerprints aren't bad at all, I don't use a case and the phone looks hot.
Id be cautious of white. Many white phones don't age we'll and get that yellowing. Aluminum looks solid but not my thing.
I have the aluminum color now but I ordered the white one and will decide what color I like better. Pictures don't cut it for me, I have to see them in person.

I had a graphite myself, and wife has frost. Graphite was more slippery for sure. Ended up swapping that for frost as well.
That said, graphite looked great.
I've had all three in our house. I had the black but returned and ordered the aluminum. The black one had little chips in it when I first received it. Initially, they didn't bother me but after a couple days I kept staring at them cuz it was bright white underneath. Otherwise it looked great. My wife's frost also looks nice but the chamfered edges are extra shiny and the tiny scratches are noticeable after a while. I use the aluminum one now. The microscratches aren't as noticeable on the edges. And the tiny chips aren't as noticeable either (make no mistake though, they are there lol). If the graphite didn't have the chips that would've been the one I stuck with, but as it is, the aluminum keeps my ocd tendencies at bay.
For me its Aluminum, but the other colors are nice as well. Also, there are cases in many colors to make anyone happy!
Go to your local pub for a few drinks might help your decision!

I got aluminum, it's not like the htc m8 it's more of a "bling" looking aluminum
Would have gotten frost but it's not sold outside the US.
Ended up with alu.
