Till now the best custom rom experience I had
Just 3-4 hours ago flashed CARBON-KK-NIGHTLY-20141020-0238-sirius.zip with pa_gapps-modular-micro-4.4.4-20141019-signed.zip via CWM-based Recovery v6.0.5.1.
1) Installation went well
2) Root is working well
3) Calls threw basic app and viber* working well
4) SMS is okay with delivery reports
5) Camera + video working well (after many reboots turn offs)
6) Youtube* is working (downloaded threw playstore cause I use micro gapps package installer)
7) Synchronization with my google account and apps like gmail working well
8) Changing the Wallpapper is okay - adding soft buttons from CARBON FIBERS menu (return,kill app e.t.c) working well
9) No WiFi drops (till now)
10) Gadget with Google Speak now is working okay but I would like to have an option to remove it from basic desktop screen (maybe there is one there , I didn't have much time to search)
11) Calculator , File Manager , Torch , Gallery , VLC* are okay too.
12) Latest firefox can handle better than default Browser ... (maybe not so much)

1) In Settings -> Performance Maximum speed for the CPU is 2265 MHz but it should be at least 2300 MHz , why did you put this limitation ?
2) Is there an explanation for "OTHER SETTINGS" under the CPU Maximum speed , a) Governor b) I/O Scheduler ? (I don't know the best option for b) I/O Scheduler -row- -noop- -deadline- -cfq- -test-iosched-).
3)Is there a way so I don't have my apps organized by alphabetical order ?

Just installed Neat rom 8 stock version 'light'. Everything seems to be working well. The only (very minor) issue is that the samsung keyboard differs from the original stock 4.3 one in that it doesn't show a selection of words to choose underneath, as you type.. The only option seems to be for it to actually make it's own changes as you type, which I hate.
Is there any way to get the original stock keyboard back?

You forget to tick language file option in aroma
Hi. When you say 'aroma', do you mean the list of samsung/ google apps presented when you install neatrom 8? There wasn't a language file option when doing the install. Or is Aroma a separate thing to install (that's not included when you install neatrom)?
Anyhow, looking again at Sale's first post , I think he has used the Note 3 keyboard instead of the stock S3 one. That's probably why the keyboard doesn't have suggestions underneath when you type (looks identical other than that).
So need to find some way to install S3 keyboard. Any suggestions? .TIA
Aroma is the choice of what you want to install

I report some errors that I noticed. (Firmware: I9300XXUGNH4 NeatROM v8.0 (4.3))
The internet explorer icon is duplicated when you activate the Framework in Xposed installer.
In Settings/ Control NeatRom / General Mods / Screen Off Animations, the options are reversed.
After a few reboot, the problem goes away.
Can you check?
Can you add the screen off option through double-tap on the screen?

It's not about xposed framework, one is stock sammy browser from s3, the bottom left icon, and the upper right is browser from Note3, which adds support for eyescroll etc. because these features don't work with s3 browser.

You're lucky.
After 8 months on neatrom I decided that is time to move forward cause of the stupid memory management.
Now I'm using cm11 and the memory management is amazing. ?
Neatroam v8.2 on my device no lags and fc's but voice command not working. Internet is fast when connected to wifi. But scr recorder slow on recording. Screencast not working. I cant demo my fon but this rom is very nice! Battery is consuming 12% per hour on wifi and web browsing, non stop online gaming 2-3 hours overall this rom is way better than other roms out there!

Is it possible to add Flashlight Toggle for NeatRomLite 4.3?
smart network doesn't work, it doesn't turn off wifi or mobile data when screen is off
press volume up to turn on torch also doesn't work all the time, happened to me twice but i don't know what caused it to get bugged
short interruptions while listening to music, sometimes more, sometimes less, usually gets fixed with a restart
adobe flash player doesn't always install when i install the rom, happens with lite and extra lite, i haven't tried the full bloatware option
i think you should add the default music player to lite edition since it breaks the clock, you can't chose a custom clock sound without it
when you open "neatrom update" for the first time it crashes, it doesn't crash after that anymore
these are all the bugs i had found after a month of daily use, i'm really happy with it, thank you very much for this rom, some lag now and then (because of limited ram?) but otherwise it is close to perfection

Excalibur ROM internet signal error.
Hi, I recently flashed this ROM and its fantastic only problem is I can't access the 3G/2G internet network on my galaxy ace. It was working OK on the stock ROM. many ideas on how I can fix this? My sum service internet see tings have been properly set.

Only thing is when pressing home button, the recent apps list comes up but there are no options for clearing or selecting recent apps to clear from list. Your screenshots show this is possible. How can I enable this?

ICS Style Task Manager which was used in this Rom ( at least the v6 according to change log), designed for a simulated ICS or JB task management experience, nothing more ( The app may not have the features of more advanced custom task managers, but simplicity found in it is amazing ). Switching between tasks and killing unwanted applications would be executed perfectly by long pressing search as far as i know ( didn't install this Rom, trying to be helpful ). >> Original contributor topic .

Same question here, will the app be updated like if downloaded on PStore ? Another one: Why have you remove "dictée vocale" (text to speech ?) thing to your really good package ? Can't sease SMS when speaking, maybe it's not necessary to remove it completely, on GS Plus Edition you just added Ok Google maybe just a mistake to forget this other usefull thing ?

Coming from PA Gapps and Blisspop, if I am about to update firmware and rom and have made Ti backups of all my user apps and Trebuchet, can I:
1. Manually wipe/format the system partition from your custom recovery
Flash firmware
2. Flash your ROM
3. Flash a GApps package
4. Flash addons / debloat script
5. Wipe cache & dalvik cache
6. Reboot
Restore Ti backups
and get it pretty much set up as I had it before?

This ROM is really good, but the battery does not hold a long time: from 8:05 to 18h while with stock ROM, the battery is much better. (Google Traduction)
Will the new versions need a full wipe to be flashed? In addition, do I need to flash back to a stock rom before flashing this or can I just flash it over a custom rom?

Downloaded and installed the latest build, but noticed that the sound starts high
And then go low again(f.eks listening to spotify) . But im guessing this is a cyanogenmod bug? Did clean a clean install. Everything else works perfect ?.

I tried cleaninng the metadata of my music files. At least I got the some of the music actually working but around 1/3 of the files still caused the player to stop responding and their metadata was still unreadable. Hope it helps.

I have just recently installed this rom to my Xperia Mini Pro Sk17i and I really like it.
Only got two very minor issues:
- the home button light isn't working
- the auto brightness was way to low, because the sensor reports much to low values (0 lux in my living room next to a window on a cloudy afternoon)
I fixed the brightness by removing all data points and setting it up like this:
0 lux -> 10%
12 lux -> 78%
4096 lux -> 92%
8192 - infinity -> 100%
Everything "normal" seems to work just fine.
However I haven't managed to create a swap file on my SD Card and use it to counter the small amound of ram the phone has. I have also tried creating a swap partition with gparted, which also didn't seem to work.
Has anyone else managed to do this?
I tried enabling the swap partition on my sd card again today, using the swapper 2 apk found here in the forums and it worked without a hitch.
My phone seems to be mostly lag free (noticed it mostly when returning to the home screen after using a browser) after taking the following actions:
- 512MB swap on Class 10 SD Card
- Link2SD for all user apps (my SD Card is about four times faster than the internal memory, at least according to the benchmark tool I used)
- disable zRAM to save some CPU cycles
Next step would be to try and move my system apps to the sd card as well but I think I'll just enjoy the current state for a while first.
-edit- I also lowered the max_backlight values for buttons and keyboard in /sys/class/leds/ to extend battery life a little bit.
I got two more problems with the ROM, one which I was able to fix myself:
There was a wakelock by com.google.android.gms/.update.SystemUpdateService even though it is disabled
. Enabling the Service fixed it and my battery life in standby has doubled. I tried to do it permanently via an init.d script, but that hasn't worked yet.
The second and much more annoying issue, is that my touch controls keep on dying randomly about once per day. Rebooting the phone fixes it about 70% of time. The other 30% it is unresponsive even on boot. The hardware keyboard is not effected by this.
-edit- the screen issue is also occurring with the stock ICS rom, so I guess its an hardware issue
