Hello Guys.... Our Moto G is a wonderful device... But it lacks some basic toggles in notification bar like data, hotspot etc.... Therefore I am sharing this app called power toggles .... It allows u to place toggles in notification bar ... It is good option for non rooted users ...
Link- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc&hl=en
I Like PowerToggles too. Simple to use and no root needed for many useful toogles.
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.painless.pc Best abp in my opinion.
Use two fingers to scroll the notification bar and you'll see the options

I just wondering if you anyone know how to add power Widget to Pull down Notification like you see CyanogenMod or touch wiz with galaxy?
I am rooted but not running any rom on my photon...
I've went round and round trying to find an app or mod that does this best. I ended up settling with an app called power control plus. The options arnt truly embedded into taskbar, but instead is just a constantly appearing notification widget in your drop down. It is a paid app, and the 4g toggle currently doesnt work for the photon but hey, it does the job and is pretty well customizable.
I've been using Notification Toggle from the Market which is made by one here on XDA. Has worked pretty good for me. Can even add a shortcut for apps, change icons, colors, etc.

Anyone working on this yet?

Really - these handy pull down toggles (on/off's for wifi, bluetooth etc) have been on every ver of Android since 2.0. Until now - who's brilliant idea was it to remove these?

Toggles in the notification bar have only ever been an OEM add-on, they are not part of stock Android/AOSP.
That said, it's definitely one of the most obvious missing features vs. the RAZR's contemporaries from HTC and Samsung.
My wife's new Pantech Breakout has some nice notification toggles stock! I'd love for something like that for my Razr!

yea, I miss those too. hopefully ICS has something like that in it whenever that comes out.
Available in the Market as always for example via Widgetsoid.
How many times will I have to say that for people to understan, unbelievable.

Well it doesn't work very well maybe that's why...It doesn't work with either of my Motorola phones w/o the popup - and the popup defeats the purpose imo.
Perhaps it works better on other devices idk...
Additionally, a lot of the toggles don't even work...it looks real nice and seems to be very configurable but just doesn't work for me.
Add the Toggleower Contorl widget to have some toggles.
Notification Toggle is working on my RAZR with a few minor glitches and enables customized pull-down toggles. This is a great workaround until ICS.

Try MySettings, works like a charm
Shady's rom has toggles and Im now working on them for my rom also
Widgetsoid seems like a great app with a lot of potential and nice customization features, but on the Razr you can't toggle directly from the notification bar with it. Instead clicking on the toggle icon will popup another window to toggle the setting on or off. That and I haven't been able to change the colors of the toggles in the dropdown so that it's readable.
Notification toggle is the closest I've found. Each toggle takes up a line but you can actually turn the item on or off straight from the dropdown.

I've been looking for a way to have power controls in the notification (slide/pull down thingy?) the SGS2 way.
An app, free on gplay, called Notification Toggle, NT, by a dev J4velin did the trick; I am using it and it's great.
Not only does it let you select from a variety of toggles, but it also offers to include shortcuts up there. Some toggles (Gps) require that you set it as a system app, thus require root, but most of the power controls don't. And you can also customize the toggle icons and such.
Naturally, it has to be running in the background and it's got a footprint of 8+ mb.
I notice some devs on this forum have come up with a flashable mod for that as well. But as I think it's only for deodexed ROMs. Anyways, it's always nice to have more options.
in my opinion widgetsoid its perfect - but pooup is terrible;/
so i us for few weeks notification toggle and icons from widgetsoid
It sounds like this, which we already have:

edit: re-read and understood that OP is trying to introduce this app that works the same way without flashing.

How do you change the icons to use the widgetsoid icons?
HP Touchpad CM9
i unpack widgetsoid apk by winrar - icons are inside app
you change icons with notification toogles - its there ICONS & COLORS - you must tap for icons and select from phone gallery
Awesome find!
Sent from my DROID RAZR using xda premium
Notification Toggle give me only 2 toggles, is there a way to select more options?
Or is this only via the payed app?
think I know what you mean
When you go to the next view in the app, the one titled Notifications, tick the "1st notification" and then LONG PRESS on it. This will allow you to SELECt the TOGGLES that the FIRST ARRAY OF Buttons in the NOTIFICATION tray will host.
I hope that helped
Merci!
got bored with old type status bar
A custom status bar that goes where you go, done WP7 style!
StatusBar+ is the FIRST custom status/ notification bar for Android, no root or custom ROM required!
It works in any orientation and appears consistently for ANY and ALL applications. In full screen applications it automatically hides and in some applications like ZPlayer it becomes transparent for seamless integration.
In order for StatusBar+ to handle third-party notifications it MUST be enabled in System Settings > Accessibility and NOT in the app itself1
StatusBar+ is more than just a custom status bar. It comes bundled with its own MIUI-style battery bar, the ability to change any and all indicators to any color your heart desires, features for users with AMOLED screens to avoid pixel burn-in, popup notifications, and much more.:good::good::good::good::good::good::good::good:

oh! it is a nice app, thank u!
Tested on CM10.2, it`s working but you got boot loop when enable or disable Super Status Bar, you`ve to take out the battery and put it again to make the device boot normally.

@R_a_z_v_a_n
I don't know if it was a CM10.2 related bug, but when I turn off the Super Status Bar the phone immediately end in a boot loop. I had to wipe data
