Hello all, I am running CM11 Nightly and the only modification I have made to the actual file system is deleting the DSP Manager apk in system/app because it was taking precedence over other equalizer apps I was trying out. Long story short, I couldn't find an equalizer that boosted the bass correctly as well as the equalizer built into the stock S4 Touchwiz did. So, I reflashed the DSP Manager apk through CWM. Now, neither Google Play Music nor Apollo will play my music on the external SD card. And for my last question, why are no equalizers working correctly with bass boost? When I have either a preset or use the bass booster slider bar in any equalizer (including DSP Manager) it just makes my music crackle. Its not my headphones either, as they worked perfectly on Touchwiz. Thanks in advance for your reply.

Does the sound enhancer only work with the stock music app? For other music apps and video apps do I need to install something like dsp manager?

Beats is limited to htc's music app, however the Anthrax Kernel helps improve audio quality. You can also use Volume+ from the market to enhance audio quality across the system too. Volume+ has a "beats emulation" EQ setting, not sure how close to actual beats it is but it's there.
Hi, Im using Checkrom4. As I often hear music from live streams(online radio,kies cast etc.,) I want to set global EQ settings, which will affect every app I use for music. I installed DSP, but most of the features dont work and it doesnt affect the music player for some reason. Same story with other EQ apps from the market. So is it possible to have the same settings for all music apps, or I have to use the built in EQ for music player and DSP for everyting else?
Also can you recommend me fully working DSP for Sammy roms?

I am currently running the latest CM10.1 nightly on my P4. I find that the Audio volume is quite low when watching movies with earphones and would like to find out of there's any way to permanently amplify the volume of the tablet..
DSP manager settings work with music or ongoing audio, but video stops the moment I switch to DSP manager, so I cannot amplify the movie volume there.
Any advise will be appreciated... Thanks

Since DSP still doesn't seem to work properly on our device on CM10.2, does anyone happen to know of a good EQ to use as a substitute? I'm currently on Viper4Android, which works fantastically with Shuttle music player. However, it doesn't seem to pick up audio from any other apps, such as Pandora or YouTube. Any input is appreciated!
