Hi to everyone.
Before this HTC device I had others and also had a Motorola Mpx220 (WM2003 SE).
I was used to move the files within "\Windows\Start Menu" (mostly .lnk files to installed programs) into newly created subfolders, to be able to use and/or access the function I needed in a faster way.
I've tried doing the same on this WM5 device, but everytime I try I get an error message reporting it is not possible (File Explorer has greyed out options to cut and/or copy, while TotalCommander just reports it's not possible to "overwrite" ???).
Does anyone have an idea of how this can be done (registry ???) ?
Thank you.
Ciao
Here is the solution...
Hi Mix, it's Mix answering (yes, I'm the same person...)...
First of all I would like to thank you ALL the people which knew the solution and were fighting to answer to my doubt...
You were so many, I wonder why the message has been read times and so many answers arrived: 0 (yes, ZERO).
Anyway, I came across the solution myself, by chance...
The problems seems being the smartphone versions of WM5 being protected against file modifications. This protection extends also to some files execution and to certificate installations (hence some problems may arise when connecting to an Exchange Server for syncronization).
Some tools are needed to remove this protection, and some experience of registry modification is required too (I will not help anyone beside what is in this message and I take no responsability for any mistakes and/or troubles you may produce or face).
First of all you need a special version of RegEdit (the tool from PHM): you should find an HTC digitally signed copy of it called RegEditSTG.exe.
Look around for it: there are many forums around which do hold a copy of it.
Place it in your phone's memory, not on the MicroSD card...
With this tool you should change the following values:
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001001 = 2 => 1 (RAPI)
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001005 = 16 => 40 (Cert)
HKLM\Security\Policies\Policies\00001017 = 128 => 144 (?)
The first is the value you will find, the second is the value you should enter. The third line has a question mark because someone says it should be made, someone not... It's up to you. I made it.
Then you should find another tool (with the same above method) called SDA_ApplicationUnlock.exe which has to be run on your desktop PC with the phone already connected with USB (and possibly with ActiveSync not in the middle of a sync...).
Once you run this, you will get a message that the unlock took place (if not, it may be the first operations did not complete well).
Disconnect your phone from the USB cable and power cycle it (switch it off and then on again).
Opla'... the phone is not APPLICATION UNLOCKED and you will be able to move file around the directories as I was looking to when I first posted my message.
Now I have a very quick Start Menu, as I wanted.
Please, be aware that this operation hacks the security policies of WM5 and then any other application which may be dangerous can now run on your phone.
If you wish to stay on the safe side, it could be useful to restore the registry settings to their original values, but I do not know if this could cause other problems, since I didn't on my phone.
I actually double check every single file by myself before launching it and I do not run anything which I'm not sure it is safe.
So, pay attention... (you have been warned...).
Hope this helps someone else out there.
Ciao
Thanks for the tips mate! I was searching around for the same problem.
Can a hard reset put all the files back as in the old WM2003? I'm asking that 'cause if you look at the windows directory, many exe and dll files are repeated, with a different code. I guessed they are for the many different languages the phone support and the code is the country code. Maybe when you switch from one language to another those files are renamed so you have the correct exe and dll for the language you need...
If I can erase all the files I don't need (I will never change the language or maybe have only italian and english) I can save lot of space.
Am I wrong? Was that ever tried before?

In order:
- Yes, I suppose a hard reset of the device completely restores the original factory settings, hence, the device will appear as "brand new".
- You're right: all the localized files present there are just to be able to swithc to other languages (maybe following user's settings and maybe also following user's SIM settings too...).
- Erasing the unused files may appear as a "space saving" job. It is not. First of all you will not be able to remove ROM resident files, but provided you could be able to do this, you will not be able to use ROM space as you intend...
Finally then, it's completely unuseful to try to remove them, just a waste of time trying...
Ciao
Thanks Michele.
Are you sure the windows directory is in ROM?
I always tought ROM was only to store the "disk" image when you hard reset the device. I was so for the Qtek S100.

Yes it is. On the fact that it is then copied into RAM, well, this is a tecnique which was used up to WM2003 SE devices.
Starting from WM5 devices MS somewhat changed the behaviour of the whole system, hence I'm not then so sure.
Indeed, I have never been sure of anything, beside death, so you can imagine...
I'm not really so "expert".
Having used an MPx220 for over one year (with all its limitations, but exploiting it very much), using a WM5 device now is a much more relaxed experience (faster, more realiable and less troubly in terms of memory).
Just MHO
Thanks Mix - i followed your directions and it worked.
Got my QTEK (running i-Mate ROM) Application Unlocked
Hi,
I've found many software that supposed to help in case your phone get lost or stolen.
Some were expensive, some were free, but none fitted perfectly to what I was really expecting. So I've made my own.
The closest in terms of functionnalities (and price) is Remote Tracker, but it requires .NET 3.5 which is not installed on my WM6.5 phone, and honestly, it's a very fat dependency.
The idea is that you install this software (no CAB, simply copy the 2 files on your phone), and run it once to set up the configuration. Then forget it.
In the case the phone is stolen, the software will send you a SMS with the thief's phone number, it's GPS position, the CellID in case the GPS pos is not available.
You'll then be able to act on your phone remotely by sending it some SMS (described in documentation).
The features that makes this software unique are:
It's possible to destroy all your personal data remotely (call log history, contact, emails, SMS, calendar, owner info, storage card) -> help social engineering to get back your phone.
It's possible to make the phone send you back the call history and the sim contacts.
Slut mode (see the documentation for details).
WOULDYOUSHUTUP mode (where the phone is very very nasty).
All other tracking software features...
This software is open C++ source (GPLv3), small (75ko with no dependencies), and free.
You'll find it at http://dsmp.sf.net (documentation on that page)
Or the direct link is attached.
Beta tester welcome (I've tested all functions already, but, you know what software development is....)
Some remarks for those who don't read threads:
whereRU: requires you to have at least a .wav file in your windows ring folder. I thought all phone had at least one .wav based ring. In 64kb, I haven't included a MP3/AAC/MP4 player.
owner: This is what I said in my first posts. Microsoft didn't feel it was interesting to document how to retrieve owner info. So, almost all manufacturer have made there own proprietary stuff. I've a HTC phone, so I've checked the code work for HTC. If you have more information about where your phone store its owner information in registry, I can add your phone support.
contact: On the main config dialog, in the combo box where you can enter the phone number to contact, you'll have a phone number list. It's the same list as returned in the "contact" command. So if you don't have such list in the config dialog, then this means that either you don't have any contact on your SIM card, or it's not working (in that case PM me).
Please read the website http://dsmp.sf.net
To install the software:
1. Extract the zip file (either on your phone, or on the PC, and then copy the 2 files from archive to your phone)
2. Run the extracted exe on your phone. If you have signed warning say yes.
3. Set up your configuration (DON'T check "Don't show this screen anymore")
4. If you have a GPS in your device, go outside to make sure the GPS is working with the configuration you've made
5. Enter a (not yours) phone number in the SMS par edit/combobox
6. Enter a password in the edit box on the bottom
7. Click done => Say yes.
8. Start the software again, enter the previous password in the field on the botton to unlock the dialog, then click on "Configuration done, install now"
9. If you have signature warning for the DLL say yes.
10. It should display "Installation done". You can then send yourself a SMS with the right format to check if it's working.
11. If it's working, delete the SMS you've just sent from your outbox, and trash, and then start the software again and check "Don't show this screen anymore". You'll have to click "Configuration done" again, but this times, you shouldn't have any warning.
12. If it's not working, well post on the forum.
Changelog:
- Added "allow" command so it's possible to use multiple allowed SIM card. Setup the software as described above, and then change your card. You'll get a SMS with the new number (if not, your configuration isn't good). Then reply with the command "dsmp # allow # password" with no space between #. This SIM card is then allowed. You can have up to 4 allowed SIM card.
- Fixed an installation bug on non-french phone. Sorry, I've been lazy, and it should be fixed.
- Added support for "Dsmp" in addition of "dsmp" as trigger code
- More owner info retrieved for HTC phones
Please go to sf.net page ( http://dsmp.sf.net ) if you want to get the debug version or source code.
sounds impressive ! i might give it a try!
good work !
CDMA diamond running a 6.1 rom. got to step 8 and each time I enter in my password and close my keyboard the screen where the keyboard was (touchpal is my SIP) shows the screen behind what it should show. hope that makes sense. how do I uninstall this software?
also, I dont see anywhere where it says what WOULDYOUSHUTUP mode is.
WOULDYOUSHUTUP is what happen when you send a sms with "whereRU". The phone rings at max volume for 60s with no possible way to stop it, even if it was in silent mode.
Useful when you've lost your phone nearby, (it won't stop until you've found it, or 60s later), or, as intended, to become a nuisance to any thief in the middle of the night.
To uninstall the software you must click on "Zap" button, but you need your password for that. BTW if you haven't done step 8, you don't need to uninstall, as the installation proceed only when you click "Configuration done" button.
If the software doesn't accept the password you've set at step 6, then it's likely that it was entered wrong at first? I'll PM you about this, if you don't mind.
installed it, and tested a whereRU with another phone, doesn't work. :\
I've answered with specific details by PM. I trying to understand why installation didn't work for you. I'll update the post with the informations you'll give me.
sounds really nice.
I just see some problems. These problems apply to any anti-theft program :
If you have a pin-lock for the device (not sim card lock, the built-in windows lock), the thief will not be able to change anything (owner, ...). He can only change the sim and try to boot, what will of course fail. As this fails (without unlocking phone-lock, no dialing), he will not be able to establish a connection to his mobile network and you will not get his number (?!)
As hard-reset is always possible (every thief can google ) w/o the program being cooked into rom, this software is senseless if you can't cook roms. I can't
If I understood it correctly, you would need to edit the 2 files to your needs (with numbers aso) at first instance and afterwards cook them into rom. This has to be done by each end-user each time he flashes a new rom and cant be done by rom-chef because he doesnt know your data.
Isn't it possible to make that wireless? E.g. you specify an email there and the programm will at first boot after hardreset (after cooking into rom) establish a connection to a server (or mail to specified mail) to download the details (cell number, pw, ...) you entered in the server? ^^
You only can enter one own cell number. Bad if you sometimes switch the sim's.
Would be better to implement that from remotetracker:
SIM Cards: you can set up to four known SIM cards. If you, or anyone, change the SIM card to an unknown card, your emergency number and e-mails will receive a message alerting you about the change and with the new number

* If you use this kind of software, you'll want to make your thief believe he succeed owning your phone. If you PIN-lock your device, then the thief will have to hard reset the phone to use it, defeating the whole process.
* In my previous phone (Universal), there was a Extended ROM made by the operator that survived hard reset. I've used that ROM by that time.
Now, you're perfectly right, with a single ROM, the hard reset kills the software. Your idea of using a external server is genius. I guess I'll add this, using your device ID (which doesn't change whatever the ROM) (or IMEI), to retrieve the config for your phone. The config will be saved on a server, and the config can be sent back by SMS (so even if the thief doesn't have network contract, it'll work).
* You switch SIM ? Is 2 SIM okay ?
I wanted the software to be extremely simple to setup, so it detected the IMSI by itself.
Now, if you need to store 2 IMSI, it'll need another edit box to let you enter the IMSI numbers.
I can add a new command "allow" that, when you've inserted your second SIM, will allow the new IMSI upon receiving.
Let me think about this.
Yep, but I won't -of course- disable excellent built-in security mechanisms to make it *perhaps* easier to get the phone back just in case someone steals my phone.
The phone-lock is ideal to keep away random access to private and corporate data from other persons (friends, aso).
Despite the lack of some functions I installed the program yesterday and it doesn't work as thought:
The program loads after each reset again with the config screen
The program is active in task manager (dsmp.exe)
The sent commands aren't executed. If I send the commands (e.g. rst or whereRU) to the phone, the display turns on but nothing happens.
(perhaps the first 2 problems are caused because I did not hide the program yet with "Do not show this anymore" Not sure about that )
You could just say at setup: Now turn off the phone and enter your other sim and start the setup again to detect the second sim
hi popol256,
is there a chance for a very thin application, that after installed on a phone (e.g LEO) makes JUST the following:
- receiving a predefined SMS lock's the phone and encrypts the msd card.
To unlock the phone and decrypt the msd card, just a so called "master password" or whatever needs to be input.
That's all
thank you,
/s1
Locking the phone is possible (but again, if you lock the phone, then the thief will hard reset it).
Encrypting the microSD card is not, I think.
So far, I think you need to either encrypt it at first use (all WM6 phone have this as a base feature). When you have data on it and want to encrypt, it's almost impossible as you'll need the same free space on your device as your card size to store the encrypted version.
(Or if only encrypting content, you'll need to reserve half your card size for the "possibly" encrypted archive).
I guess the best method for you if to use the storage card encryption feature of WM + pin lock.

You are right. The only way to have both would be to cook your own ROM with the software inside.

Yes the 2 first issues are because the config says to show the dialog.
The third issue means that the software isn't installed well.
I've only tested it on my phone, and I might have done something wrong.
There is a debugversion here
Extract this version to your card, then run the exe in it, and click "Zap". Then wait for few minutes, and reset your phone (this is to make internal mail application to release its lock on the interceptor DLL).
Run the software again, and set the config, click "done" or "ok", and send yourself a SMS (don't need to install this version, it runs from the card).
You should get 2 message box, the first one contains the path to the software (end in .exe), and the message you've sent, and the second only contains the command you've sent. If this work, well, I'll have to double check the release version.

Yes, it's the basic idea (in fact, as soon as you insert your second SIM, you'll receive a SMS, but you'll then send an "allow" command to add this IMSI in the allowed IMSI list). I'm adding this.
Hehe, got the following error running the debugversion:

Ok, my fault then, I've used French name for the path. Let me few hours to compile a new version with the regular name, I'll post back here.
Ok, I've added the "allow" command for multiple sim card. The idea is simple, configure your software as said in the first page, then change your sim.
You'll received a SMS to the number you've set up. Then send a "allow" command with your password, and the new SIM is allowed you'll never receive a SMS again.
bliblablub,
Please run the version you have on your storage card, and click "Zap" button to uninstall it.
Then delete the 4xxxxxxxxx_dfed_p (xxxxx is a hexadecimal number) from your storage card (file format changed).
Then download the updated DSMP.zip version from the main (or the official) page again.
There was a bug with the file path that should be fixed now with the release version.
Thank you for your patience.

I can't uninstall it because it was not installed I guess (debug - storage). See errors on post before
Somehow I managed to uninstall the internal version. Needed several attempts.
Now installed again on phone and again nothing happens with whereRU and any other command except lcd turning on
Does it work fine?
Any opinion?
Nice, nice, nice. Sounds like the app I was always looking for. I will download and try. Thanks
It seems to work fine on my X1.

ONLY FOR NEON USERS
Hi everybody this is my first thread not because I'm lazy (that's also true but is a long story ). I managed to run android froyo on a htc touch dual neon 200 and now I'll show you how.
]THIS TUTORIAL IS USING FILES AND SOM COPIED PARTS FROM http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1002683 IF THAT'S AGAINST THE RULE I HOPE THAT VSAVICHEV WILL COMPLETE HIS TUTORIAL WITH MINE
-YOU NEED A 2G AT LEAST MICRO SD (SDHC NOT TESTED)
-First of all update your radio with the last one and do the Hardspl, you can find lots of tutorials on this forum so I'll just skip over that.
-Download the NEON.zip file at the end of this tutorial.
-Download the android version from here http://sourceforge.net/projects/androidhtc/files/2011-08-29-froyo/ , I used the system-froyo-eu-odex-29-08-11_19-patched.tgz version but if you find a newest one you probably can use that one without issues.
-Connect your htc neon to computer and go to the micro sd dir
-Now open NEON.zip and choice the .NBH file according to your phone version, then put it in the root of the micro sd.
-Rename the .NBH file you just moved as NEONIMAGE.NBH
-Create a new folder called andboot
-Rename the android os you downloaded as androidinstall.(the extention it already has, commonly is .tgz)
-Place the androidinstall.tgz file in the andboot dir
-Shut down the phone
-Hold camera button and press power button until it turns on
-Then phone will detect itself that there is a firmware is on your SD card and will ask your to press POWER button, so press it. Flashing takes about 20 seconds, after it's over pull the battery or press reset.
-Turn device on and wait until i says "Hold down Volume Up or DPad Center to launch installer" press and hold central button, you'll see installer menu. If you missed yo press button- reset and press it directly after seeing some output on the screen.
Choose Data & Sys on "(*) NAND" and press Install android, then answer yes twice. Now installation process is started, wait for a minute or so.
-And at last after installation is over press Quit, first boot takes some time so be patient. Then enjoy your Android.
IMPORTANT
You will not have a menu key whith this O.S. so download Buttonr Remapper for android, install it and define a button from the keypad as menu button. (ex. I used the enter button because is almost useless but you cand define any other button this way)
ENJOY
EDIT:
instead of installing the os on internal memory you must choice the sd card because neon 200 has 256 mb of internal memory, that means you have about 15 or 20 mb of free space after installing.
EDIT 2:
the install has to be made on the img files.. still some apps don't want to insall.
Well, i'm not angry, actually i'm happy, that someone used my work. What is interesting for me, is how did you use my files for neon, i thought there is different hardware. Was i wrong?
Nice to see you here (-:
Is there an updated version of your android ROM?
P.S.
The link in post is not valid
Well, my Nike is dead, so there is no chance that i continue work on the kernel, now i am really happy with HD2. So on the Nikes thread i just looking sometimes, if someone continues my work to help him if needed.
Tryin' out gingerbread version, cross you fingers for me
So, I got a Zte Avid Plus z828 (t mobile no sim card) that has frp so basically i cant get pass the google account verification screen. I have found a way to get into the settings and enable developer mode without no otg method or apk methods. I simply used the text to speech method where i open the source for that and then open up google and search settings allowing me to access the settings and enable developer mode via build version.
Now here's the problem I can click backup and reset but when i actually click RESET PHONE nothing happens. I can keep on clicking it and nothing will happen it's a button thats just there. I want to enable USB debugging with hopes of using adb shell and wiping the phone that way but i can't even access the developer settings. I click on the developer settings and nothing happens its the same situation with the RESET PHONE option. Why is this occurring? Anyone have any advice as to how i can get around this? I've tried downloading apks that would open the developer settings but it opens for less then a second then instantly closes. I'm new here so i'm not even sure if this is where i was supposed to even post this, sorry if it wasn't the correct place to post this. if you need me to elaborate anymore just ask, i'll gladly do it.
Hello Friend!! I also have the same problem with this phone. but I have not been able to enter the menu. as you could enter the menu of the z828? Thank you

Yeah I'll make a short guide I can try to post screenshots later but for now i'll try my best to guide you to the point where I am.
1. Go through the setup until you get to the google verifying part.
2. Open up your keyboard and hold down the comma to access the gear which will allow you to get into the google keyboard settings.
3. Once you're at the google keyboard settings go to Text Correction.
4. Then go to Personal Dictionary and select English (US) or whatever you have there.
5. Then click on the search button and just type random letters and hit search is what i did to get to this next step.
6.. You should be able to type in the letter "g" and you should see something called google voice typing
7. click that and go to Text-to-speech.
8. Then click the blue gear next to google text to speech
9. click install voice data
10. you should see 3 dots on the top right hand corner open that and click open source licenses
11. once you're at this part just simply hold a line down as if you were going to copy it.
12. you should see about 4 options on what you want to do with that line like copy or share it search it on the web.
13. what you want to do is click search, its the fourth option.
14. delete whatever is on the search and type in settings the option to access the settings should pop up on the bottom as a suggestion.
15. click that and now you're at the settings.
From here on i assume you know how to access the about phone and turn on developer settings but this is the problem you can turn it on but you cant access the developer menu you can just click it and nothing will happen. same for trying to reset the phone from the back up and reset menu.
if anybody knows what the case may be please let me know i'm constantly trying to find the solution to this whenever i have the free time but so far no solution has came up. i am able to download apks by instead of typing in settings on the google search i type in file manager and simply transfer over the apk through my pc onto the phone. that i can do without usb debugging becasue my pc picks the phone up as a portable device.
I fixed the zte avid plus z828 frp problem!
Dont mean to double post but after a week of trial and error I solved the problem. I bypassed the FRP and Hard resetted the phone. Phone's working 100% now. I can probably post a guide somewhere I guess if highly requested.
Feel free to close the thread as the problem is solved

Hello yerhope!
from your last report on zte z828 frp bypass, i understood that you finally fix the , not able to access the Developer option nor access the factory reset. I am very keen to know how you did it.
I am a victim of this same circumstance.
guide please?
cant click reset my self
Hey, I would like to highly request the tutorial....
Furthermore, I'd like to say I've poured over these sort of sites, rephrased my questions, etcetc all trying to get the same things accomplished, getting past the google password, and yet you with your quick clearly stated actually step by step explanation were the one to get me the farthest in fixing this problem. :highfive:

He said he resolved problem but put no feedback so others can benefit, I really doubt he resolved the problem of bypassing or unlocking or rooting his phone, he probably slammed it on the floor and resolved the problem that way. We don't need people like that here. I will try it when I get a zte z828 from someone that has the same problem, I will post feedback if I am successful or not, so by July 15, 2016, I should now if it is possible.

I will try it when I get a zte z828 from someone that has the same problem, I will post feedback if I am successful or not, so by July 15, 2016, I should now if it is possible.

He did get in. I did get in myself but when i tap factory reset nothing happen.
(Security patched)
Maybe he did resolve it like i did.
Root and remove it with gcpro
Thats what i did.
On some ZTE phones (has worked on 1 but not another for me), you can use the emergency dialer to dial:
*983*987#
This will lead you directly into factory reset options (if it works).
Solution worked on Acer Iconia B1-850 Tablet

Okay, I spent more time than i care to admit on getting through this frp. I have z3x and a few other utilities and i use them when i can, but i don't honestly lay hands on ZTE very often. Anyway, you do NOT need GC or any other box--
so following the last poster's steps (credit to yerhope):
9. click install voice data
10. you should see 3 dots on the top right hand corner open that and click open source licenses
11. once you're at this part just simply hold a line down as if you were going to copy it.
12. you should see about 4 options on what you want to do with that line like copy or share it search it on the web.
13. what you want to do is click search, its the fourth option.
this is where he leaves off... and where i pick up.
14. Download "quickshortcut maker" apk to your computer (or copy from apk extractor on a phone or any other method..
15. Select z828 in my computer and copy quickshortcut maker to downloads
16. On the phone, after clicking the search button, clear the browser box and type in "file manager" - it will show up just below. select it
17. Go to downloads in the file manager and select quickshortcut maker
18. install the app, blah blah blah
19. Once in the app, search "google account" you will have several pop up
20. Select the one that says "email and password" when you do, it will ask for a password to an account you aren't sure of.
21. click menu on top right - Browser sign in is the option - click it
22. Sign in to your email and account
23. Once you are signed in, press and hold power for a soft reset (restart)
24. Proceed as usual to wifi page and BOOM!
25. Profit. not much though, cuz its still a ZTE.

Does this mean you have confirmed this on ZTE?
Yerhopes solution worked for my zte lever
Follow yerhopes solution after step 15 while in settings go to backup and reset make sure back up data is off then factory reset erase Everything phone will reboot old owners info gone no need to download anything worked for 2 Zte levers i bought from ebay.
Bought a EE Jay Tablet (also a ZTE tablet) that had FRP enabled, easiest way I could do it was
1. connect to wifi, get to the previous account required screen.
2. open the keyboard and hold the @ symbol and open the keyboard settings.
3. top right corner press the 3 dots and choose help and type in apps in the search box.
4. access the app settings screen via the link from the help section then goto all and launch settings app
5. enable unknown sources in security and return to app settings screen and launch chrome this time or any browser.
6. goto http://rootjunkysdl.com/files/?dir=Apps and download this file com.sika524.android.quickshortcut.apk
7. you may get a download notification that the file has finished if not go back again to the app settings screen and all again and launch downloads app
8. you will now see the file download open it and install and then open the app
9. in the quick shortcut app search for google account and choose email and password and select try
10. now the google accounts manager has launched, in the top right corner press the 3 dots and choose browser sign-in
11. sign in with a google account and once done it will close and go back to the quick shortcut maker.
12. you still won't have access yet but all I done was reboot the device and continued the setup, this time there was no errors or required sign in and had full access.
Hope this helps someone, this was basically a copy of this video which may be helpful https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GKdVvBSIb0M

I used this method, personally, for zte Avid I believe. Yerhope's solution works for some firmwares prior to firmware i was on. i'm sorry, i do not recall that at this moment as it was some time ago. if Yerhope's solution is not effective for you, then progresss to my steps that pick up right where previous solution left off. so once again, YES, this worked on my device, did not test for others. my understanding is kingo can acquire root access in a special way as well that will allow you to adb clear frp. looking for commands? i do not have them sorry.
This guide is a copy paste from this thread:
[GUIDE] Switch software region to Upgrade to ColorOS 11 and enable Dual Sim.
I want to write this here so it's all in one place and not scattered around different threads. Apologies for the bad formatting in some parts as this is on of my first contribution. Most of this is copied from this thread: I am adding onto this...
forum.xda-developers.com
For my oppo find x 2 neo it worked.
I remind you that it precedes it and has your danger

and nearly no issues are caused. Still, I am not responsible for bricked devices, broken warranties or lost data.
If you haven't already, enable Developer Options and USB Debugging.
Next, download the Oppo_Free_Unlock_v1.0.zip file from the attachments and extract it somewhere.
Before you run anything, though, there's a little preparation that needs to be done.
Open Device Manager and expand the Network Adapters category.
Find your Ethernet adapter and double click it to open its properties.
Go to the Advanced tab and find the Network Address option in the Property pane.
Under the Value pane, select the radio button next to the text box and paste in the following: 704D7B61ABCD.
If you don't have an Ethernet adapter, try to find another network adapter here that has the Network Address property. It may help to install VirtualBox, since it will add fake Ethernet adapters.
Close the properties window and close Device Manager.
Go to where you extracted the unlock tools. Open Sec5.exe.
Make sure your device is in MTP mode, and then press the Unlock button.
After about a second, a string of numbers and letters should show up in the left pane. A few seconds later, "OK" should start flashing in the right pane. If it says "device not found" or something similar, make sure MTP Mode is activated. Press "Stop unlocking" and close the window.
Open the phone app on your device and dial *#3954391#. Then dial *#391#. A screen should come up with a whole bunch of regions listed. Choose this one: "Singapore Ex". Note: This Version has Theme Store, but no Ringtone Maker. Feel free to try other versions. EDIT: DO NOT CHANGE TO A REGION WITH CARRIER, ESPECIALLY THAILAND AS YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO CHANGE BACK! AT LEAST WHILE ON ANDROID 10. STICK WITH THOSE THAT END IN EX. Once you have done this, it appears that you can always bring up the region menu when dialing the numbers..
Your phone should now reboot. Once it's rebooted, your region will have changed.
Every time you changed region and want to change it again you need to use the software. You can get a code that you can use every time to change the region instead of using this software every time. (Update- one person report that this code(token) wont work for every time as his STAMP code changed.)
For this you need to: Open the dialer app , dial *#9434# ,press authtokendecrypt. You will see a IMEI and STAMP. Open the Sec5.exe and write the IMEI and STAMP shown on your phone in the blank space of the IMEI and STAMP in the software and press Generate a token, you will see a string of numbers and letters, write it on the token blank text box and click authtokendecrypt. Now you will see every text written in green. Now you can follow the steps in the guide but skip the steps that have to do with sec5. The Token that the software gave you is the same code that you need to enter in the *#9434# every time you want to change region so you do not need to use the software ever again.
UPDATE: Currently, it doesn't seem to work anymore for some people. Try installing Loopback network driver ( How to install Loopback) and uninstalling or disabling all other network drivers. If you are afraid of doing this with your own device you can use a Virtual Machine, too. I tried it this way.. Rest of the process is the same, just change the network address in Device Manager the same way as before.
Now that you are on the Pakistan Version, you can also run the device in dual sim mode, which was disabled in EU Mode. Some users have ordered Dual-Sim-trays on AliExpress and are now able to use it in this way. Also this might open up the path to unlock the bootloader, since that is limited to chinese devices only. I have not tried this out yet, though.
In theory, changing your region like this should work on any OPPO device running at least Android Pie (9). It may even work on earlier versions.
NOTE: This will not work for Chinese variants. These codes are filtered and will only work for international variants.
this guide no longer works with the new updates for both x2 pro and neo so let's avoid posting things that are not valid there is already a tutorial
*#3954391# and *#391#not working in color os 11 solution plz
