Yes if you follow the installation steps correctly !
To avoid bootloops and that kind of jokes.

Root is a system thing, my rom is Pre-Rooted (sometimes fails)
Recovery, this depends on how you installed Recovery, you may have to reinstall the Nut's Dual Recovery if you used that
wipe Cache and Dalvik when installing, nothing else is needed to be wiped, if you bootloop then wipe data

Hi Envious. Thanks for all the hard work and contributions.
I have. 314 stock rooted on D6903 n SGP521. I'm sure D6903 will work flawlessly with your rom. If I want to flash it on SGP521, any considerations or it can't be done?

Apologies. My device is D6503 . Must be the early morning commute that muddled my reply. So it won't work on SGP521. Thank you.

Hello the of torgeincrease /flash light, how it works?

I cannot install Xposed on the ROM, I installed a root checker app and it says I have root but no apps with root access can mount system as writable. And I tried flashing an app to system (Cerberus app) via recovery and it's not installed.
How to I check if I have a full working root?

Done that with plain CWM (via NDR utils). Titanium Backup works but Xposed fails to mount. That said Titanium will only do certain things, it cannot remove system apps which may be mounting issue. I'm on V1PRE2

SONY RIC killer solved it. Was mention in one of the Envi ROM threads. ROM working great now, hats off for the speed and smoothness it brilliant!

Im on 4.4.4 stock, so what i have to do to install this rom. I have done nothing, its completely stock. I havent unlcoked any bootloaders or done anything.
EDIT: i get bootloop, when i flash .314 , but when i revert flash to .167 everythings allright.

i can confirm that after instaling V1 version whitch is 3.12 based ,the battery drain is normal and actualy better than .167...the only think that bothers me is the update notification anythinig else is smooth and silky.i had 98 percent battery and i played 2-3 hours of fruit ninja and made some calls and was surfing the internet with wifi connected and after 22 hours of on battery i have 63 percent remaining so i can say that battery drain is not a issue for me...also im using this rom now for 5 days since is released and its very good.i think that ppl should use rom atleast for few days and than see if battery drain is happening..as i know the battery has to be calibrated after instaling fresh rom. cheers guys

What does "removed Viper4Android libs " mean in the changelog of V2? I have Viper4Android installed since V1 will flashing V2.2 affect the app whatsoever? Thanks and great rom btw keep up the good work!

slow down it takes tym to gt a reply..
anyhow i m here
1) All custom roms are rooted so u will not loose ur root access..
2)All rom developers have listed the samsung apps deleted by them, and they usually give it as an addon pack if some people want.
See it what apps they have removed , if the app u want is deleted good for u or u have to deleted it manually as u have done in the past..
Alternatively u can delete it from the rom before flashing too... if u are experienced.
3)This is a kernel related issue try changing/flashing a new kernel the problem should get solved..
i want to flash the litening rom, what is the newest version available?
my kernel is KF4 but most of the roms i found are for other kernel versions, how do i solve this?
The latest version of litening ROM is here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1095274
but can i suggest Cognition as i have used both and i do prefer cognition:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1124396
Your kernel doesnt matter - each ROM usually includes their own kernel and when you flash the new rom the kernel from that ROM will also be applied to your phone at the same time

[Q] Quick question regarding updating.

Dear reader,
I've currently been using Cyanomod for 2.3.7 Gingerbread.
My phone is rooted and everything (which took a little while )
Everything is running perfectly fine, but i would like to update my phone to android 4.0+ (whatever the lastest compatible version might be)
How should i go about this?
Do i basically uninstall everything and start from scratch or is there an easy method to quickly update my phone to android 4.
Kind Regards and Thank you for your time!
I believe the answer us first to backup your apps with titanium backup if you need them. Then go to recovery and backup your current Rom. (always be sure to do this). from recovery wipe factory reset and dalvik cache. Then install your new Rom from zip.
You cannot install an android 4.0 + over another version. Always backup and wipe.

Do i need to re-root my phone when i install a new Rom? Or should i just install it through recovery?
Rom's are pre rooted (expect stock, stock BASED roms ARE pre-rooted), once you've installed the rom through cwm, it will be rooted and ready.

If your bootloader is unlocked, you can easily flash a custom kernel (Based on ics, so it'll be compatible with ics rom) And boot into recovery, and flash a custom rom based on ics.
One last question, since i'm having trouble finding compatible roms.
Which one would any of you, recommend for me to use ?
I have a ST18i and i'd like the lastest compatible rom.
Thanks so much for the fast reponses and ofcourse the help.
Kind Regards,
Since you're using CyanogenMod 7 I would recommend you to use CyanogenMod 9.1 i.e. FXP 138 is the best in my experience.

If your finding trouble with compatible roms are you saying your getting bootloops when trying them?, because a different Android Version requires a different kernel, So if you haven't or forget to flash the kernel recommended or provided then that would possibly be where your compatibility issues lye as you will get bootloops if you don't and you are changing version. As Mikii suggested earlier.

Ahhh that must be it then.. I've been using the same kernel for quite some time now because it was quite a hassle to flash it. Different roms come with different kernels (at times). I'll have to figure out how to flash kernels again. Gonna check around the forums to see if i can find a suitable thread.
Thanks so much

The fastest way to flash a kernel is to use the program called flashtool, click on the lightening bolt, select Fastboot mode, then select kernel to flash find the kernel you want to flash and it should be done within literally 2 seconds. once Flashtool gives you the all clear, disconnect your phone from usb, restart phone, and there you go, the old kernel will be overwritten, and so will that kernel's cwm version, with the one from the new kernel.
Try FXP138

[ROM][STOCK][30A - 5.0.2] Stock rooted Lollipop Rom for Int. G Pad by skin1980

Hi guys, this is the latest Lollipop ROM rolled out by LG for the international G Pad 8.3.
It's the corean update but works just fine with mine and i hope also with your.
INFO:
1- You can flash it with the TWRP like every Rom out here, i used the bumped TWRP in the original devs thread;
2- The kernel is stock, i only set selinux to permissive because in my works for the G3 i've seen that it's the only way to avoid permission issues;
3- it's bumped so doesn't need nothing special, just flash it in TWRP like i said above;
4- You can dirty flash over the stock 4.4.2 ROM, i made it and had no issues at all.
5- If you are asking why you should flash this instead of the kdz, the answer is that with the "kdz way" you will upload your Bootloader too and you will lost the possibility to flash the twrp and any custom kernel since the new BL patch the exploit used by Bump.
DOWNLOAD
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=95916177934553953
ROOT:
The rom is unrooted, to root it just flash this in recovery:

- Chainfire for the root stuff;

Thanks very much once again ?
Flashed this and everything seems ok so far. Supersu didnt work for me in the first flash with ROM, but when i got back into recovery the second flash worked. Root seems to be pretty strong thus far. I am going to run this for the next few days and see how stock Lollipop is working. Thanks again for this!
Ran for a couple minutes and noticed vibration doesn't work. Do I need to enable something? Pretty solid so far!
Edit: You have to reboot for vibration
Looking great for me so far ,no issues, though I have a lot of setting up to do still ?
Hello,
Very good rom
bye bye kit kat and external sd storage problems
Thank you very much for this rom
Fantastic! Thanks for the work and sharing.
Just flashed it dirty and seems to work flawless.
Major improvements over 4.4 are the "recents apps" button and being able to switch user without having to use hard power button.
Thank you for sharing this!
Can anybody answer me what's with battery, is it worse than on KitKat? And is gamma fixed?
Thank you one again! Cheers!
Sweet! Downloading right now, thank you!!

I did. Full wipe worked fine.
Only issue I've noticed so far is the lockscreen weather doesn't seem to work.
I set it up as you would with the g3 but no luck.
Anyone managed to get it working?
For reference, I started with a completely wiped /formated tablet.
Hey dev, when you say 'dirt flash' you mean I have to wipe nothing? Just like if it is an OTA? Do I lose something?
rom is running very smooth so far without any problems, living in germany. much faster as KK relase.
thank you dev!

Glad to see you here to.. Lg g3 owner mate congrats and keep doing your thing.... Thanks once again you great developer!!!!

G900T unlocked using on AT&T.. Which version of ROM to use?

so I got this galaxy s5 (free) to replace the S4 I had.. I'm on AT&T and the S5 is a T-Mobile device.. I unlocked and am currently using on AT&T without any issues.. I tried Cyanogenmod 12 on it.. had way too many Bluetooth music issues.. so I switched back to a rooted t-mobile stock.. which is terrible.. bluetooth music works great but everything is is painfully slow.. so I want to find a good fast custom rom (that also has proper bluetooth music support).. With so many device versions and so many custom roms I'm just a bit perplexed.. I found some that are debloated stock roms which seem like that would be good. but I'm just a bit confused on what parts I need to have as "t-mobile g900t" and which parts I don't have to have that way? so yeah this is a bit of a newbie question (even though I have run 4 or 5 custom roms in the past (original galaxy s and my s4 both had custom roms). .but those were always at&t devices on at&t network.. so was an easier choice..
at any rate.. looking for some tips on how to best find the right rom.. Would love to do this today/tomorrow.. avoid messing with the phone during the work week..
Thanks in advance!!
Gary
Try the latest stock ROM for the phone. Many of us were having issues with lag with prior 5.1.1 ROMS. The latest ROM has fixed all these issues. Very snappy.
i feel like i remember seeing bluetooth/audio fixes & updates in the CM13 nightly changelogs, you also didnt specify which CM 12 you installed... the last 12.1 snapshot from october or the last nightly from december?
You can run whatever rom you want. If it works with KLTE it works on your phone. Check the S5 unified development. Cyanogen has always been crap on this phone, probably always will be. Try an AOSP based one like Tesla or TipsyOS (probably won't find them on this site, they post all of their roms on their Google+ page)
Unfortunately the only Marshmallow available for this phone so far is CM-13 based so it's also crap and full of bugs...
To be honest, no ROM you find will be perfect. The most stable thing I've found is to just use a rooted stock ROM and debloat the hell out of it then run Google Now launcher or Nova and forget that you have a Samsung device for a while, until the next OTA comes out and you have to do the process over again.

much improved deep sleep battery means crap & full of bugs? i'm over a week behind on nightlies & there arent that many bugs... http://www.cmxlog.com/13/klte/ things are improving all the time, only CM 12.1 is stuck... but the last december nightly isnt buggy either
Sort of forgot about this thread. first Thanks for the replies.. So I have been using CM13 since I posted this.. and this has great for speed.. but BlueTooth continues to suck.. no matter what bluetooth device I use with this Rom it skips and stutters. I've finally had enough.. it's been quite a long time with this issue so time for me to switch.. I will try one of the rooted stock roms and debloat it with one of those tools.. thanks again everyone!

If you have the mm bootloader and modem installed just wipe and flash. But I believe cm 13 could be ran on the lp bootloader. I odined the stock tar first that way you know all the partitions are proper. Than Odin Twrp 3 0.0 . Make sure you back up your data from internal storage because when you Odin factory package it wipes phone storage. I learned this the hard way lost a bunch of pictures lol anyway I found this to be the best way. Hoping this helps....

Get any phone info app and check and see if your bootloader ends in pe1 if it don't you don't have mm bootloader. Teamwin is twrp just make sure it's version 3.0.0 that version seems to do best with the phoenix rom.

Sorry for eavesdropping but I dont think that PE3 came yet, either via OTA or on sammobile.

thanks for sticking with me on the all the newbie questions.. bootloader version reported as G900TUV1FOG6.. later in the list it shows Latest Firmware: G900TUVUGPE1/G900TTMBGPE1/G900TUVU1GPE1.. so at first I was thinking I was ok.. but that second entry had me wondering.. (dang.. just noticed this was never submitted (from 6/28).. oh well)..
ok.. So I assumed I'm good to go.. installed the latest TWRP (3.0.2).. wiped the data area and tried to flash Phoenix.. It starts installing Aroma.. and within a couple of seconds the phone reboots back into TWRP.. did this a few times.. rebooting into the OS gets me a new Cyanagenomod not Phoenix.. figure I must be missing a step somewhere (or have something that is preventing Phoenix from installing).. thoughts?
thanks again!!

I think you still don't have the correct bootloader . The firmware is mm because your using CM13. The easiest way to get it done for sure is to odin the official MM firmware. Than install Twrp 3.0.0 flash superuser to have root . Reboot in recovery and flash phoenix rom v12.0 than the 12.6 update. This may take extra time this way but all the partitions will be correct. Or odin bootloader in BL slot and modem in cp slot . Don't set for auto reboot pull battery back into download mode Odin Twrp pull battery. Reboot into recovery than flash superuser. Than flash phoenix. Good luck

OK.. you may be right.. I downgraded TWRP to 3.0.0 and the install started working fine.. but now the reboot into Phoenix has been going for about 35 mins.. I know it can take some time but that seems extreme.. will wait a bit longer and if it doesn't work I'll try the steps you listed above..
thanks again

Gary look in this general section for the post that instructs you how to install factory mm. Follow the guide. Google to see how to install factory tar files using Lunix . I'm guessing my instructional writing skills leave something to be desired lol . Once you have the factory mm up and running install Twrp flash superuser reboot. Than reboot into recovery flash phoenix rom. Good good

Need Help

I performed a TWRP installation.
Now my phone is stuck on MI.com unlocked state
any way I can do something?
same here
Never mind, I installed the AOSP rom and it finally came up. I also installed the lazy flasher which might have fixed the issue
Never mind, lets close this Thread, I fixed the issue by installing the lazy flasher, Tried OREO roms, AOSP roms, DotOne, but no luck, all roms are unstable right now.
Restored MIUI back living with high Ram usage and lots of bloatware
