[Q] Weird issue in Gallery app - Sony Ericsson Xperia Mini, Mini Pro, Xperia Pro, A

Hi,
When my friend is viewing certain (not all) pictures in Gallery app on his Xperia Ray, the picture "evaporates" to another picture. Anyone knows how to solve this?
P/S: He is using latest stock ICS firmware, he didn't root nor doing bootloader unlock his device.

Contact picture assigning

Just tried adding a contact picture via
Contacts, edit, + (on the blank picture) then selecting from the photo gallery. After selecting the persons face and saving it kept using another person's photo instead. I tried this for 3 other people with the same result.
If i go to the gallery, tag a face and select to use as caller I.d it works fine.
Is this a known bug?
I'm using stock rooted btw

Not too sure about that or maybe its the way thay made it. But as long as you can get it done by going through the gallery first then its still a result lol

What os are you using? I'm on JB now but I neither had problems with 4.0.4, I used haxsync and manual selection for some contacts, they all worked fine.

YouTube app bug orientation problem

I know this post isn't appropriate, but Google doesn't seem to be responding for months. Back to the point whenever I change the orientation while a video is playing I get a huge black bar taking up space, does this bug happen to anyone else? Can I fix this problem?

Yeah. I can confirm this bug for the official 4.1.2 firmware. The top bar seems to be misplaced after switching orientation.

best regards,
Thanks for the apk its really good, but it seems like the problem isn't involved with the YouTube app but Samsung's dumb premium suite update which completely ruined my phone.

[Q] can't find camera in apps list

Hi
I have android 4.1.2 cyanogen based on acer iconia a200. I know I have camera app in the system as I have the camera app shortcut on the unlock screen and I can launch the camera from there. But I dont have camera in installed apps (in app drawer). I have tried installing the camera apk (install was successful) but still I dont see it in the search. I even searched the tablet for camera using google search app, just cant find.
Any ideas??
It could be in the hidden items I guess!!??

Deleted photos reappear after reboot or a few hours

Just got my new Z2 a few days ago. Love the phone but a few quirks though. The main one - photos reappear after they have been deleted after a reboot or after waiting a few hours.
Steps to reproduce.
1. Take a picture with the stock camera app
2a. Delete it immediately from the camera app and also delete it from the trash within the Google Photos app.
2b. or go into the Sony album app and delete it from there.
3. Reboot the phone
4. Open the Sony album app. Voila... the picture is back again.
Can someone verify this behavior for me? Any suggestions?

ive found that with .55 and .402 firmwares there is a media scanning issue/app function issue
i dont think there is much to do besides deleting the pic using xplore, xplore app adds to the media info hence it should disapear from the album all together

Thanks!! I'm using Solid Explorer and will definitely try deleting from a file explorer. Funny thing is that if I delete the reappeared photo via eg. the Sony album app (so deleting it for the second time) it does go away permanently.
Do you reckon this is going to be solved via a firmware update? Or do I need to go hobby around the issue myself?

Found it. I had set the storage location to my SD within the camera app. Changed that back and the issue of reappearing pictures is gone. That all my widgets and live wallpaper were destroyed in the process got me even more paranoid about this firmware, but hey that's solvable too
Thanks for the help.
