[Q] [Help] Nexus 9 won't download the update - Nexus 9 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey all.
I got my Nexus 9 today, started it up and such, and am currently stuck on downloading a 297.9mb update. Is the update taking a while for you guys? My Apple Airport doesn't work with it, and I would connect it to another hotspot but I can't get the MAC address.
So, anyway I can flash it myself, or make it download faster or something?

It took mine about 2 and half hours to upgrade. I thought it was stuck too but eventually it finished.

[Q] Need Some Good Help with HISENSE Sero 7 Pro!

OK, guys, I'm talking about, most likely, a fairly unique problem I have with my Hisense Sero 7 Pro. So, considering the events of this have occurred over a year ago, pardon me if I have a bad memory. Get ready for story time!
Somehow, I could not get my Hisense Sero 7 Pro to boot up Cyanogenmod. I believe that is the software I loaded on it. For whatever reason, I could not boot it. I mean, fine whatever, right? I still have fastboot or bootloader and those combinations of buttons so that I reflash my software if needbe. It should technically be only a temp brick. But for whatever reason, it became really low on battery, perhaps from me unsuccessfully attempting to change it. I mean so low, that it reached that magical number where all of a sudden the tablet itself doesn't think it has a battery. And thus, it wouldn't even charge. I used a myriad of chargers and attempted all sorts of things to jump start it to a point where I could get it charging again, but it couldn't. Thus, I gave up on this tablet, and got a Nexus 7 2013.
Sometime later (ie, now), I fished this old tablet out of a shoe box when cleaning stuff out. I mean, not that old, but whatever. I thought, why not give it another go? I grabbed a random charger and plugged it in. I left it for 30 minutes to sit there, not doing anything. When I returned, to my surprise, it had reached the magical HISENSE boot screen it had been stuck at previously. This meant, that for some odd reason, my tablet had begun charging to some point, right? Alas, I was very excited. Yes, the tablet was still stuck at the HISENSE screen, flashing off and on again every minute or so, as if it's trying to boot a software that's essentially bricked, it's not there. But it has the electricity throbbing through its veins. And thus, that is enough for me to be excited. Just recently, I tried to boot into fastboot, I believe. And the device threw my a Low Battery symbol. The same kind it threw me when I tried to start it up way back when, and continued to attempt to, whilst it didn't charge, until it was deader than Abraham Lincoln.
But now I have the charger that will charge it, and that's good enough for me. Next Steps? Obviously, wait around, right? Perhaps it's below that 10% locked threshold needed for it to boot into fastboot or recovery? And if that's the case, I'll update you guys on that, but if that's the case, then great. I've got it at that screen.
Now what?
What do I do to flash Cyanogenmod, or Clockwork if I don't have it for whatever reason, and then Cyanogenmod and get this old thing working again? It's a project, true, but if I can get it functioning, this tablet would be awesome to have around the house, and, either way, it's a fun thing to work on.
Thanks for reading my story, and if you can help, great stuff!
i would suggest you install the latest lollipop.
first you will need to install a new recovery (neither the stock recover nor CWM will work with the newer roms)

72hr lockout after resetting password and flashing a rom

The 72 hour lock out thing is one of the dumbest thing's Google has ever done. So I got a Nexus 6 since launch. figured i'd try getting 6.0 on there since i'm on Verizon and and OTAs from them take forever. So after much messing around and a few failed attempts I get 6.0 to boot on my Nexus 6, happy days right? Well I get this message when signing in for the first time "This device has been reset please login". So I did and after password I get "please sign in using owners accounts of the owners of this device". So after google I fond out this is some sort of security lockout that has no way to defeat it once triggered because I reset my password. I did this Sunday at 8am. Well I got a little restless about it yesterday and following someone else advice I tired to flash to 5.0, in theory since it doesn't have the password lock out i'd be able to sign in, get the OTA update to 5.1 then install 6.0 without resetting user data and be in. Thing is 5.0 wouldn't boot on my phone. I'd get stuck at the boot animation. I figured because my phone being a Verizon phone never got 5.0. So I installed 6.0 again and stupid me flashed user data again. This was yesterday around 5PM. Figured I was done with it and let it be. Well today when I woke up I figured the lockout should be over but I'm still getting that same message when logging in. Did I trip the freaking 72hr lockout again? So I'm not gonna have my phone till Friday 5PM? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? I DO NOT HAVE MY PHONE FOR ANOTHER 72HRs?!?!?! This really makes me want to smash the phone with a hammer and get Asurion to send me a refurb replacement.

Helpp?? GT-i9506 WIFI NOT WORKING

A while back I rooted my Samsung Galaxy S4 GT-i9506, I didn't modify it other than that, I just rooted so I could hack games, install snapchat addons, etc. No Custom Roms/Kernels, none of that. Then my phone smashed and the screen stopped working, it took me about 2 months to get it fixed so when I got it back it was being really slow, all it needed was time but then the Samsung Sync was not working, so I tried to update, it said that I couldn't because my device was modified, so I eventually after doing a couple things, got my device to Android 5.0.1 Lolipop by Flashing with Odin and TWRP. When I first got onto 5.0.1 my wifi didn't work, my data does but not the wifi, I have been looking for at least a week for a fix for this, but nothing seems to work. I'm not sure if i'm missing something but i'm tired of this, i've been using a very smashed s3 and I want to use my S4 quite badly, If anyone got point me in the right direction or even help me out on this one, I would appreciate it heaps! When I hit the wifi button it doesn't get stuck on that grey/green or anything, it just doesn't turn on, it goes straight back to grey. I assume this is the modem but I have tried getting a newer modem and it hasn't worked, i'll be checking this for a while until this problem is resolved, any help would be very appreciated!

How does Android N OTA takes to arrive for download?

I'm Nexus 9 LTE bootloader is unlocked and uncyrpted. I haven't received the OTA for Android N after signing up over an hour ago, I'll heard it's pretty instantaneous. Why is it taking longer for my Nexus 9 receive it? Any know, I'm in UK.
Same here. Enrolled this morning, still no sign of it. My friend with N9 non-LTE got it within next 5 min ?
I enrolled yesterday afternoon and have not received it yet.
mine is definitely more than a day already. :S
I know why because Google has stopped the download rolling out to Nexus 9 until they can fix the issue with Nexus 9 not updating successfully -

Yes, just read thru the N9 General threads and you'll see numerous people have had their devices bricked by the N Preview OTA. Be thankful you didn't get the update.

LG G2 Mini (D620) lagging and stuck in LG logo after several flash attempts

Hi, I'm new in this but I'm also desperate for help. For starters, I live in Venezuela so it's a bit troublesome to visit a proper tech service and stuff. Well, as I said in the title, the problem with my phone is that it keeps getting stuck in the LG logo. I've already flash it several times, but this solution only seems to work for a few days. I'll explain the problems in a chronological order
1) I dropped my phone in january and the screen broke, so I bought a new one along with a new touch screen. At that time, the only problem that I had was that, even though I had a SIM card in my phone, it didn't have any mobile network signal. I tried many things but gave up on that and the problem's still with me
2) In an attempt to fix that issue, I factory reseted my phone and since that time I got the feeling that something was off with my device but I dind't pay attention to it cos my phone was working appareantly fine
3)After that my device started to get laggy and I tought it was the battery because sometimes it was at 87% and when you turn it off and turn it on again, the battery was at 67% in an instant. It wasn't that bad so I kept using it like that
4) Sometime around last month my phone reboot itself (it was usual that when my device got reaaally laggy it reboots itself). The problem was that it got stuck in the LG logo so I look for solutions and end up flashing it.
5) It worked for a few weeks but the cycle started again. Laggy and then stuck in LG logo. I bought a new battery (wich works fine) thinking that this would solve the problem so I did a factory reset, flash it and then turn it on but the problem still didn't go away.
I'm desperate for help cos I need my phone to work and since I live in Venezuela, I really need the money and obviosuly, I can't afford to buy a new device. Could someone help me?
A little note here. I tried upgrading the software using "LG Mobile Support Tool 2014" but the app shuts down before downloading the upgrade. I don't know if it's due to my laptop being really old (Acer Aspire 5920). I know I have A LOT of troubles but I'm in need of a friendly help!
