I NEVER had this on ANY firmware I`ve flashed all stock never rooted and never unlocked boot loader etc, But now excited about 4.4.4 .167 and every firmware I try that issue is there and is of cause of this firmware.
Its not the screen flashed back to 4.4.2 and its no longer like that but I cant run 4.4.4 due to this issue when scrolling up and its terrible!
Is everyone phones like this? Mostly seen in Chrome when Scrolling up and down, and Scrolling up and down in settings.

I *had* an un-rooted e970 with the standard 4.0.4 installed. I saw an update and updated to 4.1.2. I don't know if this is coincidence or if 4.1.2 just sucks with the Optimus G, but ever since I updated the phone:
(1) Data signal works half the time and decides randomly when it wants to work. (Toggling Airplane-mode and restarting does nothing). I've also factory reset this thing twice and it still has issues.
(2) Now the phone can't auto-rotate even though the option is clearly clicked to ON in the display settings.
Since then, I rooted my phone hoping something might trigger it, but no luck. Ultimately I want my issues fixed, but I think downgrading to 4.0.4 might fix the issues but I have no idea how to do that. Can anyone help?
Have you tried or considered flashing 4.1.2 stock meaning a complete flash of the latest available stock ROM using the LGNPST tool? I don't mean flashing 4.0.4 and then doing the OTA to 4.1.2, I mean completely flashing the LGE970AT-01-V20j-310-410-MAR-08-2013 build direct to the device in download mode using LGNPST... that might help alleviate some of the issues you noted, it might not, but it probably can't hurt to take that step. If it doesn't, you can then flash back to 4.0.4 which is out there as LGE970AT-00-V10o-ATT-US-SEP-29-2012-0. I think there's a V11c build as well posted someplace by SnowLeopardJB too.
As for the auto-rotate thing, I know one of the radios has been noted to have an effect on that, perhaps somehow that could be related. Flashing the stock 4.1.2 fully should help since it'll flash the stock JB AT&T radio, or at least it should, that might help with the auto-rotate too.
Ok guys. I browsed through the forums for this but can only find my issue on custom Roms. My issue is with my wife's phone on the Stock Rom. I rooted her phone the other night and since then her phone has no wifi signal til a reboot then her wifi comes back in nice and strong.
Is this a known root issue? Her phone is on 4.0.1, which I believe is the latest firmware for this phone to date. The only thing I did after rooting was, of course, install apps necessary for root and flashed a security program. Nothing else.
Greetings,
I own a Galaxy S3 GTI 9305 on the Three UK network. that a while ago got upgraded to Android 4.3. The software update gets on my nerves and has numerous problems (such as no text message bleeps unless you set a text message bleep for someone) and eating battery life like there is no tomorrow unless you hoik the screen brightness down to nothing.
Needless to say, it's driving me up the wall and I want to install a custom ROM.
The phone has been flashed with Odin, and I used the boot recovery p workaround and SuperSU shows up. However, this super paranoid Knox software has a dislike to the SuperSU app and blocks it.
The phone comes up with ClockworkMod recover if you press volume up, menu and power and I have put a custom ROM and the Gapps file on there.
The thing is, will this phone be able to run the custom ROM as normal (on the basis of ClockworkMod being on there and apparently functioning ok) or is there further nasty surprises that will prevent me such as a locked bootloader?
Apologies for possibly asking this question ad nauseum on the basis that it may well have been asked before.

I
have you tried installing the latest stock firmware from 3 I noticed a big improvement in performance and battery life. The I9305 XXUENE4 based firmware either stock or custom fixes a lot of the issues I was having.

It's running on the latest firmware, and I still have problems. I absolutely hate it and want to run a custom ROM. What concerns me more is the possibility of a locked bootloader and being stuck with what Samsung and Three UK telling me what I should run on my phone.
As the title says does anyone know how to revert back to KitKat on the Z3 Tablet Compact from the latest lollipop update? I have the 16gb WiFi version. KitKat seems so much smoother and nippier than lollipop. Lollipop a bit of a disappointment. I did a full reset to and am still not impressed. Thanks for your help.
I'm afraid there's no way back if you're not rooted. Like you, I also am very disappointed in the lollipop performance on this tablet. Did two factory resets to no avail. Frame drops all over the place, most noticeably in Nova and apex launcher.
heva you try flashing OEM ROM with flash tool I have been on lollipop twice but didn't like it so went back I has to point out that I was on prerooted lollipop do.
Solved
Solved the lag by reinstalling lollipop through PC companion. It wiped everything but tablet is smoother than a baby's behind now,
Just reinstalled the firmware through pc as you said but the lags are still there. I would be grateful if someone could show me how to get back to KitKat, my version is 16gb wifi
I was able to go back to kitkat by using flashtool and flash 4.4 firmware, but you have check the box to wipe all data, and then it works. I was unrooted, but kitkat isn't any better to me as youtube has some intense lag, which isn't present in lollipop. So I'm going to try get CM12
Hi guys! I have my s6 edge for a while now and I have flashed too many roms over and over again.
My problem is that recently it just randomly crash whenever I do heavy games or sometimes after I unlock and go to the camera. I had to do the power + volume up reset in order to reboot the phone. Sometimes when it freezes the music still goes on.
I was wondering if this is a firmware problem or hardware? The phone is almost 2 years old. I flashed a custom kernel for nougat before I flashed the stock rom using odin. I really need your help and opinions. Thanks!
tldr; I should have verified if I have flashed the stock kernel even if I flashed it with odin because the custom kernel may have caused the random freezes.
What I did was flashed all the roms that I have saved and finally flashed the latest stock UK Nougat firmware.
Maybe it was because I flashed a N0G33K [mm/n] before I flashed the stock MM, which didn't overwrite the old kernel with the stock.
Hope this helps for someone in the future!
