Yes. I decided on the note 2 instead of the sg3. I had the sg3 already but then I saw all of the features of the gn2. I'm use to the size already. I'm just a little embarrassed to hold it to my ear. Lol I'm sure that will change soon.
I love the multi window feature.
I can't wait to root it so I can have more apps in the multi Window.

Lol. My daughter has a Note 2 and she has tiny hands. She also feels weird holding it up to her ear but she loves the size and says she'll never go back to a 4.7".

Came from a Gnexus as well. Now every time my wife gives me her Nexus to flash a new rom or add a mod, I cant believe how small the Nexus feels!

I came from a GNex as well. With Beans and Nova launcher, this phone feels like a larger version of the Nexus on steroids! :good:
Gotta love these threads that have no depth to them.
I came from the Epic 4G Touch and that phone was a huge brick. This thing is huge and I love it, but not so big that it's a pain to use. Everytime my wife hands me her iPhone 5 to talk to her mom I feel like I am going to drop that little thing.

Congrats! This phone exceeds my expectations I had for it. You know you don't have to root to get more apps in Multiview right? You can just mod the apk/installer of the apps you want it there and install them.

Well it has been an awesome 2 years of learning and crying with my fellow note friends but alas I got an upgrade and gonna try the HTC one tomorrow. You have been my friends and teachers to all that is android and everything I've learned in the note forums will be cherished forever. I'll stop by from time to time and check in. I'd wait till they release a device with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 in it which will be soon.
A couple of phones will be announced and released next week or two that I know of. Moto X. And Lg is showing off something on Aug. 7th.

HTC makes nice phones. And now they provide a web-based bootloader unlocker (s-off). But how can you replace the pen?
Honestly I never use it. Only time I use it is when I'm sending snapchats and I draw something lol. I mainly run aosp so all the bells and whistles from it are useless.

Yep I agree, but I like nerding it up here also, except I don't have as much time as I used to. I'm definitely waiting for the note 3, my note will be 20 months around the speculated time of release so I'll be signing on another 2 year plan with AT&T . I just hope they don't go overboard with the note 3 size.

So I went to AT&T today and messed around with the g2 and found myself returning my moto x I just bought on the 11th for it... I love this phone... great battery life so far.. really like the button placement. ..and great camera and screen size...

I have the Verizon version and I LOVE this phone. 6 hours, battery is at 95%! Amazing customizability. Already rooted. Sweet sweet phone. :victory:

Amazing phone
I went through several phones before I got this. I had the Moto X, HTC One, Galaxy S4, and the G Pro. This blows everything away!
I had the s4 One i5 note 2 and nexus which I'm currently using and I messed with the moto x I'm so glad that everyone thinks this is the best I get mine in Tuesday and this just rekindles my excitement lol

I've had all the same too and definitely happy with the switch to the g2... got my root and got rid of the bloat.. figured out how to turn off fast dormancy cause it destroys my battery life on any phone when I'm home... good to go now lol

Absolutely love this phone. I've had all the flagships and this is fantastic. My only gripe is the battery isn't very good on mine. Falls fast even when sleeping. Coming from an N4 I'm used to bad battery, but I was hoping for results like the rest of you. Oh well.

I have to say I owned the s4 the HTC one the Moto x and just yesterday traded the X for the LG G2 I love this phone Screen is fantastic Battery life is incredibly as far as UI it's like touch wiz but no lag. Also we have achieved ROOT I'm on verison. All in all this phone is superior to all devises out. Just my opinions. Android Rules!!!!#####

Then settings then scroll towards the bottom fast dormancy... you can enable and disable from there... I don't have the best reception at my house so that really helps me

You're kidding, right? The camera is better than the S4 and one of the best out there right now. Aside from the numerous reviews confirming photo quality, I have done my own comparisons with the GS4 and Lumia 1020 and it's right on par. If you're getting bad photos, you're doing something wrong.
Hey fellow members I currently have a note 3 on Verizon... U know spec wise the note is more powerful but my girlfriend recently got a one max and I'm liking what I see.... Anybody here coming from a note 3.. Can tell me.... How's battery life... How's the experience will I miss the slightly newer processor.. Is the radio reception on par or better?... How's Ron development?... I just need feedback so I'll know I'm making a good decision... Thanks guys
I had a Note 3 too and I don't really miss it at all. The battery life is about the same. I have yet to find anything that I can't do on the One Max that I could do on the Note 3. (Subtracting all the S-Pen stuff, of course.) In my personal opinion, radio reception is at the very least on par with. ROM development is growing and you don't have to worry about KNOX blowing out any chance of a warranty. All in all, I'd recommend the move.

Before the note 3 I got the very first note and now I think it would be nice to have something different.
This spen stuff is not bad but to be honest I don't really need that. Sometimes it's quite useful but I think I can live without that.
I hope that the community will grow in the next weeks.

Same here man had note 2 and the galaxy s3 before this kinda burnt out on Samsung it's a wonderful device but I do wanna try something different with the max.. And from what I've seen the max is an impressive device

I think i can tolerate it I don't take many pics with my phone and I did a brief comparison with my note cam and my girlfriend's max cam and the note was better in the day time (not mind blowing though) but at night and in dim areas the shots looked more natural with the max... So i think I could deal with the camera downgrade..

Im a note 2 owner and its a fun device. I hate vanilla android and love touchwiz etc... Lg home is more vanilla than touch wiz that would be my silly gripe. I find the size almost perfect. Camera is great battery life is about the same as my note 2. I never used the s pen so i dont miss this function.

Thanks, same here on the S-Pen... I think the size will be perfect as sometimes I find my N3 just a tad too big.
Also came from the note 2. I loved the device, but I do prefer a more vanilla, or less convoluted experience than Touch whiz. The tw features that I actually used and where useful to me are present on the g3. The camera is night and day compared to the note 2. Takes great more natural looking shots than the s5 imo. I did use the s-pen when I remembered it was there... It was always more of a novelty to me. I could no longer justify the price tag that the note 4 is sure to come with when the g3 has the size and features I actually use, and your able to get them for a steal on contact at $99. I've loved the non Samsung/touch whiz change.
I'm sure the note 4 will not disappoint, but the g3 has been an excellent experience so far.

Yeah at 99.00 this phone is a steal and the note 4 will undoubtedly be the 349.00 price which is a lot. If the note 4 gets the so called retina scan feature i still doubt id get one.

I traded my note 3 for this brand new LG G3 off craigslist and a few things stand out. The battery last longer and the display is beautiful and the camera is sick with the instant focus. I hate when a phone have issues trying to focus or just not fast at doing it. Couldn't believe it has the same screen size as the note but yet feels smaller which is awesome. The sound is from the external speaker a little louder and crisper too. Its a good phone from LG.

It's a black note 3 on sprint. I never looked to see if they had a unlock method. I just bought the phone to mess around with it. I own many devices. It is in mint condition. I already have a gold g3. I always like to have two of the devices I mainly use. If really interested then pm me and we will work out the trade.

Looks like if you can get sprint to internationally unlock it there is a domestic unlock for it. I will research more for you.

I am coming from a Note 2. I am not at all disappointed with the phone, except the battery. I take it off the charger at 5am and can't seem to get past 3pm no matter my settings. I am also disappointed with development. I understand it's got limitations with boot loader, but the S2 and GN2 had root and custom ROMS within days of release. If I would have read more into development with LG phones, I would have waited for the GN4.

You might get yourself up to speed. Things have changed since the Note 2. Have you seen the development for the Note 3? Expect worse for the N4! Pray for safestrap let alone root for the N4!
Another thing ive come to enjoy on this vs the note 2 you can add themes to individual message threads which although no big deal none of my other phones stock messaging had that feature
