Hello,
I currently have a the vibrant with 4.1 rom but an older CWM, It is 6.0.3.7 when I install an kitkat rom it would give me an error status 7. I guess I have to update CWM. What is the compatible version where I can update cwm? Thanks.

Was able to fix it. Flashed the fluid rom first. Then rebooted to an updated CWM 6.0.4.4 and then was able to install the 4.4 rom. Thanks.

HI, I have a HTC wildfire,it is rooted, but I have S-ON (in the Hboot menu).
My Hboot version is 0.80.0007. I have clockworkmod v2.5 installed.
OS on my phone is 2.1 Eclair with HTC sense.I want to get latest stable Cyanogen mod.
Now what is the easiest way for me to do it?unrevoked and revolutionary method is not working bcz it does not support hboot 0.80.Please guide me what do i need to do?
1. Go here: http://download.cyanogenmod.com/?type=stable&device=buzz and download the latest version
2. place it on your sd card
3. Boot into ClockworkMod recovery; make a nandroid backup, wipe data/cache partitions/dalvik cache
4. Install the rom
Can I get cyanogen mod 7.1 without turning off S-ON?

how to install a rom without a cwm bootloop?
Make sure you're on latest twrp or cwm or don't flash aokp rom's. That should generally be it

The best is to flash recovery with fastboot to avoid the risk.
And I have aokp and no bootloop....

its not bricked, if it was bricked you can't even start the phone so no worries.
first make sure your phone is a gt9100, if it is try to flash something else (just for a test), or download a other rom, like slimsaber. Please give a report back :highfive:
You flash the CWM 6.0.4.5 (KK Compatible)?
Just use a up to to date CWM version. First, flash gustavo's Kitkat kernel, then flash a kitkat rom. For example, you cannot install a KK rom with 6.0.3.7 recovery. You need at least CWM 6.0.4.5 or TWRP 2.6.1, to be able to flash a KK rom. So, its not bricked or something.

Hi,
I have rooted my alpha with cf-auto-root, installed TWRP recovery and disabled knox.
Now, any rom I'm trying to install from a zip file bricks my phone (and I can restore from a backup or can flash the stock rom with odin)
Why can't I install a zip?
Thanks!

and S6 Sensation Rom:

Both are lollipop. Both soft-bricked my phone.

A. androidfilehost is down. Anywhere else I can get it?
B. Why isn't it available from the TWRP manager app?
C. Noob question: Why does it even matter what recovery I'm using?
Hello,
I have a Samsung Galaxy S2 GT-I9100p with CM12.1-20151023-NIGHTLY-i9100
I was recently on CM11 with CWM 6.0.4.3 recovery and everything worked as it should but since upgrading to CM12.1 I have been unable to boot in CWM recovery, it just takes me into the stock recovery. I've tried reflashing the CWM img but it has no effect.
Is this version of CWM not compatible with Lollipop? Can anyone tell me a version that will work?
I would also like to try TWRP but unsure which image to use, can anyone recommend one?
Thanks
Steven

The recovery is bundled with the kernel in the S2. CM12.1 has CM recovery by default. The only way you can have a different recovery is to flash a compatible custom kernel. You could try the TWRP kernel from at the beginning of the CM12.1 thread or Dorimanx kernel that gsstudios builds
Thanks, where is the CM12.1 thread, I'm not sure which one you're referring to?
