Hello, I want to use a different app than the one that is assigned to one of those shortcuts on the lockscreen but when I go through the list of possible apps there are just a few and not a single one that I would like to use.
For example, the lockscreen shortcut change option offers me only one dialer app to assign to the shortcut eventhough i use an entirely different one and there is no other apps browser, which would let me see/choose more apps.
Is there any way how to change the shortcut to whatever app I want?
Nevermind, found out how to do it. I had to re-install CM because of a different issue and now when I choose ,,Apps'' it finally shows me more apps I can choose from, that thing didn't do anything before.

The icons in menu cant be deleted. However, most alt launchers will let you hide icons in the menu.

Aha, what is with apps/games what i downloaded can I move them?
Your app drawer contains all apps on your phone, usually in alphabetical order... some launchers allow you to hide apps, some allow your to create folders within the drawer to group them, some allow you to re-order the drawer..
Personally, I prefer to leave all the apps in the drawers and create shortcuts to them (by dragging and dropping as you mentioned) onto the desktop and categorising the pages.. ie, I have a page of favourite games, a page of tools/ utilities, a page of media related stuff!, and a central home page with a clock and meridian music widget on it.. and finally, and page with a full page calendar widget on it.
I've searched around and am unable to find a report of others having this issue. When I try to add a shortcut it closes the add to Home Screen and does nothing else. I am using Folder Organizer and I can add using the widget for this, but I cannot change the icon as it is a widget and not a shortcut. I cannot change the default icon.
The shortcut adding issue occurs in multiple Launchers including ICS+ Launcher and ADW Launcher.
Any tips for how to resolve the Add Shortcut issue or a workaround for it?
You might try AnyCut and see if it can add a shortcut from Folder Organizer to the home screen.
Otherwise this is a common problem with shortcuts not being enabled on the NT. Hopefully someone will find the way of adding this back, the way other functions have been restored. (For example, live wallpapers)
I was wondering if there was a way to link to standard go launcher folders to save the need for a separate folder app. So far I cant find them when I try to put a shortcut to them in programs like swipepad.
I'm looking into the answer too. I want to add a go shortcut to show app drawer in swipepad.
anyone know how?
Hi there. I have a galaxy s3 since a mounth or two and i have a contact that i call 20 or 25 time per day.
I want to know if there is a HACK or a MOD to integrate a direct call shortcut to the original lockscreen of the S3.
Thanks
I'm not sure about a hack/mod for the stock lock screen - someone else will hopefully clue you in about that.
Failing that though you could replace the stock lock screen with Widgetlocker which will allow you to add custom shortcuts and widgets (such as a direct dial widget for instance) to the lock screen.

I know this is old topic but Samsung did no changes to solve the problem. I wanted to keep original lock screen and be able to launch shortcuts from it, so I wrote an app for it. Application can be mapped with any shortcut, so when you press app icon it works like pressing shortcut icon. Unfortunately there is no possibility to change app icons, so I put launcher icons with different numbers on it.
Application is called Shortcut Launcher. You can download it from Google Play.
And if you don't want to install stuff, you could just add a call contact widget on the homescreen, you would still have to unlock it but it's some steps quicker
You can also use the ROM SlimBean, it has the option to add widgets to the lockscreen
Well, whenever I reload an exported theme, my widget settings are gone. So I have to do them again. But the only way to do this right now, is removing the widget, then finding it in a huge list, and adding it again.
Am I the only one who would like this?
Made a feature request too
Seems like a "Settings" link could easily be added below the Widget menu, under "Resize" and "Remove"

What type of settings are you referring to? Settings such as Widget Overlap or Desktop Grid Size are theme dependent, therefore every new theme will have it's specific settings.

I'm talking about the settings that some widgets have, like gtasks, where you need to choose which account you want to show tasks from, what colour the widget should have, and some other things. Like widget specific. Not all widgets got something to set, but some you have to setup a few options when you place it the first time. And at least in my stock launcher, I can get back to checking or resetting those settings again.
Know what I mean?
Kinda hard to explain

We understand what you mean, however Themer is the same as any other launcher when it comes to this. For example, if you add a Clock widget, it will give you all the same options as any other launcher. You can always change these settings if you open the app from the app drawer.
